As Shakra charged towards the princess of Hell, Charlie, ready as she could be, used her weapon to predict and block the oncoming attack from Shakra.
But what surprised her the most was not the blow itself, but the lack of it. Shakra, the master combatant she was, opted to jump over Charlie, and when she was finally above her, she used one of her shakrams and threw it directly behind her head.
And Charlie, not knowing her fighting style, didn't have time to react or think, causing the blow to connect at the back of her head.
This caused her to stumble back a bit before quickly turning towards Shakra. Once Shakra had landed on the ground, the shakram she threw at Charlie was quickly caught and rejoined with the rest.
Now standing once more in front of the princess, she clanged her rings together to signal Charlie to get ready.
And so she did. Charlie got into a stance and readied her weapon to defend once more, but when Shakra didn't attack, that's when she spoke.
"Princess of Hell, one must know to attack. Defending will only bring ruin to the temple," Shakra spoke, commanding Charlie to attack.
Charlie, though still a bit hesitant, took a deep breath before steeling her nerves and charged at Shakra.
Shakra, pleased by this, didn't move an inch from where she stood and decided to defend herself using her shakrams.
Charlie, noticing she wasn't moving, used her trident to strike her center mass and end the fight quickly. But as she struck, Shakra simply used her own weapons to redirect Charlie's attack.
This caused the trident to miss her completely and get stuck in the dirt beside Shakra, and before the princess could properly react in time, Shakra formed a fist and, with just enough force, punched Charlie directly in her chest, causing her to step back and lose the wind in her lungs.
And as Charlie was pushed back, she quickly took large breaths thanks to the heavy blow dealt to her, and she fell to her knees gasping before quickly looking up and seeing Shakra pick up her weapon and throw it beside her.
"Come, princess! We are yet to finish our battle!" Shakra commanded.
Charlie, though still a bit dizzy, decided to finally take this training seriously. Picking up her trident and using her powers, her arms began to swell slightly in size and turn red. Claw-like fingers began to form, and her horns grew more and more.
Once her transformation finished, Shakra, with a smile, clanged her shakrams once more and readied for battle.
And as the wind howled within the arena, both combatants charged. Shakra, using her weapons, began to throw a storm of shakrams to overwhelm Charlie.
Charlie responded in kind by using her trident to block the incoming projectiles, and using her magic, she shot a small projectile at Shakra.
As the spell was fired, Shakra quickly noticed the small light speeding towards her and, without missing a beat, jumped up and avoided the spell before it quickly exploded into fireworks.
"Beautiful," Shakra spoke as she watched the fireworks explode before quickly turning her attention back towards Charlie.
Shakra, noticing she was running low on shakrams, landed rather close to Charlie, who was standing over her fallen weapons.
And with a smile on her face, she steeled herself and readied for close-quarters combat. She charged Charlie, and Charlie, weapon still in hand, charged at Shakra.
Once they were close enough to each other, Charlie, having better reach, struck first, aiming at Shakra's torso once more. And once more, Shakra redirected her blow.
But this time, Charlie simply let go of her weapon, opting to use her own hands as a weapon. Shakra quickly took notice of this and, with glee, quickly dropped Charlie's weapon before engaging.
With a mighty blow, Shakra aimed towards Charlie's head to knock her out, but reacting quickly, Charlie was able to narrowly avoid her blow. Grabbing Shakra's arm, she held on tight and tried to slam her onto the ground.
As Charlie made the motion and was about to swing Shakra down, Charlie was caught off guard when Shakra quickly took hold of her arm and, using her as leverage, got on Charlie's back and, using her legs, pinned Charlie in a leg lock.
It was tight enough to make her lose her grip on Shakra's arm and let go of her completely. Once Shakra was finally free, she didn't stop her leg lock, fully intending to make Charlie submit and surrender.
And it was working. Charlie was having difficulty breathing, and being unable to pry the legs off her, she felt consciousness slowly fading and, left with no other choice, tapped out.
Shakra quickly let go and landed on the ground behind Charlie, who was now once more taking large gasps of air thanks to her.
Shakra, walking in front of the gasping princess, placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Well done! You have proven to be a worthy fighter! Maybe in the future we can continue our battle when you've achieved a better understanding of your craft," Shakra spoke.
"Thanks… you too," Charlie said, still gasping for air.
Shakra smiled before quickly grabbing one of her rings and throwing it to another one on the ground. This caused the ring to fly high up into the air, and Shakra, moving faster than Charlie could process, grabbed it in midair.
She then did the same for the rest, moving faster than when she fought Charlie.
Charlie then realized something in that moment as she looked up at Shakra. She was holding back… and maybe she liked girls.
Because during the fight, when she was in a chokehold, she oddly liked the sensation of being in between her thighs.
But shaking the thought away, when Shakra landed, she quickly gave her farewells before Shakra left with her maps, leaving Charlie alone in the training grounds.
And as Charlie stood alone, she walked towards her weapon before picking it up and staring at it for a few seconds.
That's when she decided to start training all by herself. If she wanted to protect herself, her family, and her dreams, then she needed to know how to fight.
And as she trained herself alone, Hornet could be seen hiding within the shadows holding a rather soft flea in her arms.
"Stygian better have something ready for me. I can't believe I'm babysitting her sister," she said, petting the flea aggressively.
"Awoo!"

After watching the ending of season 2 of Hazbin, I have made the discovery that Charlie was extremely lucky when she fought Adam, seeing as she didn't get vaporized immediately.
