Chapter 21— Lilith POV
When Sylvia set the tray of food on the table, I lifted my head from the newspaper I was reading. News of Davina's attack was sprawling over the internet. Some reports claimed Davina was dead, while others said she was alive but receiving treatment.
"I am concerned for the Princess of the Ancestral Wilds."
I furrowed my brows at her words, giving her a questioning look.
"Davina." Sylvia took a sip of her tea.
"I never knew she was born royalty," I said.
Sylvia scoffed. "Why do you think the council arranged for her to marry the King?"
"I thought the both of them fell in love and decided to get married."
"Wrong." She pushed strands of brown hair from her face. "Davina was not always in love with Maverick. She had a boyfriend, but her father, the Alpha of Ancestral wilds forced her, sending her to Silver Crest Pack."
"So how were they able to fall in love?" I questioned.
