Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

INT – RANDY'S DREAM – NIGHT

Randy dreams about the past, recalling his father saving him from danger.

They stand on the cliffside of Werewolf Rock, looking at the full moon.

Hunter appears, and Randy's father falls off the cliff while Hunter survives.

RANDY

DAD!

Randy loses the moonstone ring to Hunter.

Randy and Eliza retrieve the ring, but Hunter is chasing them.

INT – RANDY'S ROOM – MORNING

RANDY

Hunter, Hunter.

ACE

Who's Hunter?

Randy wakes up and sees Ace smiling on his belly.

RANDY

What?

ACE

Do you know you talk in your sleep? You were going 'Hunter, Hunter'.

Eliza listens in as Ace asks Randy about his dream.

RANDY

Oh, well, he's a human. His name is 'Hunter Reed' and he's a werewolf hunter.

ACE

Then why was he in your dream?

RANDY

Well, before we met you, Eliza and I got even with him by stealing my dad's ring back.

Randy shows Ace the glowing moonstone ring.

ACE

Why'd you do that?

RANDY

I'm the one responsible for losing it to him, and I didn't just lose the ring three years ago; I also lost my father when Hunter killed him on Werewolf Rock.

Eliza approaches Randy.

ELIZA

What were you and your dad doing up there three years ago?

RANDY

Um, we just wanted to see the full moon, and my dad wanted to take a detour that I might like on our way home.

That was in my dream, too. It was just an unforgettable night.

Don't think going up to Werewolf Rock wasn't fun, though.

ELIZA

Then what do you say we jump off and go up there ourselves?

RANDY

Maybe we shouldn't.

ELIZA

Don't tell me you're scared.

RANDY

Me? Scared? Of course not. It's just...

ELIZA

What?

RANDY

Well, I guess it was only a dream. But I think my dream was telling me Hunter is tailing us, and if we go up to Werewolf Rock, I think he'll be waiting for us.

ELIZA

Ok, then we'll let Ace decide. Ace, are you willing to go to Werewolf Rock, or are you too scared of the werewolves up there, or think we should listen to Randy's dream and stay away?

ACE

Well, Randy did say it's fun and a detour on the way to his house. I say we go.

RANDY

Well, it's on the way to my place, but what about the park, as I promised?

ELIZA

We'll look for the park today, and one way or another, we'll go to Werewolf Rock tonight.

EXT – WOLF MANOR - FOOTPRINTS TRAIL – MORNING

Anna follows Randy's footprints and sees two other sets of footprints with his.

ANNA

It looks like Randy is with two other dogs, but they have just disappeared.

A car drives by, and Anna takes a picture of what happened.

Anna goes home, gets into her limo, and instructs the driver to take her to the footprints location.

They drive through a tunnel where Mrs. Wolf spots knocked-open carriers.

MRS. WOLF

Stop the car.

Anna picks up a carrier with a busted lock, likely opened by an animal with sharp claws.

ANNA

Looks like Randy must have picked the lock on this carrier with his claws.

Anna spots drips of purple hair dye leading to a busted mirror.

ANNA

Randy must have gone this way.

Anna gets back in the limo and tells the driver to follow the clues.

INT – HUNTER'S BASE – MORNING

Hunter analyzes the hair he picked off Max with a DNA scanner.

The screen shows that the hair is werewolf hair, confirming that Max is a werewolf.

HUNTER

So, it's true. Max Wolf is a werewolf.

And I bet that dog is too, since it had the Wolf family insignia on its watch, and dogs don't wear watches, but humans do.

And my analysis of him said he was part boy, dog, and wolf, so I bet they're related.

If only there were a nearby place where I could find them.

Because it might take me days to reach Wolf Manor, oh, wait, there is.

Werewolf Rock. The place where I saw that boy get eaten and that one werewolf fall to his death.

Hunter heads up to Werewolf Rock, expecting to see a werewolf there.

EXT – TRUCK - MOVING – DAY

Randy, Eliza, and Ace ride on the back of a truck searching for the park.

The wind picks up, and it starts to rain.

RANDY

We've got to get off this truck.

ACE

But where are we going to go?

Eliza looks around and spots an old abandoned house.

The truck stops, and they jump off safely; Randy doesn't hurt his bruised leg.

ELIZA

Are you ok, Randy?

RANDY

Just fine.

Eliza leads Randy and Ace to the old abandoned house and enters through the doggie door.

INT – ABANDONED HOUSE – DAY

Randy looks around and sees many dogs resting inside.

RANDY

What are all these dogs doing here?

ELIZA

This is like our safehouse. As long as we're here, we're safe from werewolves, storms, animal control officers, and everything else that could put us in danger.

Daisy, a collie, approaches Randy and compliments his purple fur.

DAISY

Hi, handsome.

RANDY

Hi.

DAISY

Your fur is lovely. I've never seen a dog with purple fur before.

RANDY

Thanks. But I'm only like this because I got into some hair dye. My fur used to be black.

DAISY

Well, I love purple. It's my favorite color.

Randy smiles and looks across the room to see Eliza heading upstairs.

RANDY

Excuse me.

INT – ABANDONED HOUSE - UPSTAIRS – DAY

Randy follows Eliza upstairs and finds her lying with another golden retriever.

RANDY

Sorry that this storm ruined our chances of going up to Werewolf Rock.

ELIZA

It's not your fault.

MICHAEL

Why would you want to go there anyway? That place is full of werewolves. It even has werewolf in its name.

RANDY

It was Eliza's idea. I dreamed of the place last night and tried to convince her it would be a bad idea, because some werewolf hunter we stole from would follow us up there.

I bet he's up there as we speak.

ELIZA

Then it's a good thing we're here.

INT – HUNTER'S TRUCK – NIGHT

Hunter takes shelter from the storm in his truck.

EXT – CITY STREETS – NIGHT

Mrs. Wolf is stuck in a traffic jam due to the storm.

The werewolf family grows concerned as Mrs. Wolf has not returned home.

The storm puts people in danger, so the werewolves transform into their werewolf forms at night and begin searching for people to help.

They see lightning set a building on fire and hurry inside to rescue people before it collapses.

They rescue cars from a flooded road and block it off to prevent more vehicles from getting stuck.

The werewolves notice the storm has knocked out power all over the city.

They head to the power plant and see it flooded, which short-circuits the generator and blows the city's power supply.

Unable to fix the power, they head back home after ensuring no one else needs help.

At home, the sun rises, and the werewolves change back into their human forms.

They go to bed, having stayed up all night, and decide to get some rest.
