Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: The Birth of Red Hood

"You've crossed the line!"

Batman said in a low voice.

Dane looked at him seriously: "Why do you think so?"

"You shouldn't have killed him!"

"Shouldn't he die?"

"Only the law can judge fairly…"

"Bruce, I'm tired of your talk."

Before Dane could speak, Jason interrupted Batman's sermon.

"No matter how logically and legally correct your reasons are, they cannot change the fact that you have been allowing the Joker to wreak havoc on Gotham."

"Jason, we can't do things like this. We can't be so... crude."

"This may bring temporary convenience, but it will have huge hidden dangers in the long run."

"I agree with you." Dane smiled.

"That's why we need to form the Justice League."

"Batman, you won't deny that you might lose control too?"

"Once you lose control, who's going to stop you?"

Batman remained silent.

Dane continued:

"It can only be us. Power needs checks and balances, but Batman, there is no power in Gotham to check you."

Batman finally spoke:

"If I lose control, I'll make Batman disappear forever!"

Dane believed this because Batman even had an emergency plan for himself.

But whether he can really be effective is unknown. After all, there is a thing called "The Laughing Bat" in the multiverse, which is more troublesome than Injustice Superman.

Injustice Superman is not only a disaster for the Earth, but also for the universe, but the Laughing Bat has brought disaster to countless multiverses.

So as a rational person, Dane believes in Batman's determination, but does not believe in uncertain possibilities.

"Bruce, you've been fighting the Joker for so many years. Have you noticed? You're a lot like him."

With Bruce's intelligence, he definitely noticed this possibility, but his pride did not allow him to admit it.

"You are all equally intelligent and have unique perspectives on the world."

"You're all obsessed with making the world what you want it to be, but your approaches are a little different."

Dane picked up the dead clown and drew a circle under his feet to put him in.

In some works, the clown's blood contains the clown virus, so it is better to be cautious.

He sat on the stool that the clown had just sat on, and when no one was paying attention, he used his divine power to destroy the clown's blood that came into contact with it.

"But it seems to me that you two have gone to two completely different extremes."

"He, on the other hand, goes to great lengths to set the world on fire, and he enjoys getting into trouble with you just for the fun of it."

"Even if you beat me until I'm bleeding, even if I fail again and again, I won't lose heart."

"Because it's fun. As long as you don't kill him, he can keep running out of Arkham to play with you."

"He must have tried to get you to kill him, didn't he?"

Batman clenched his fists.

"I think you stick to your principle of not killing, in large part because the Joker is trying to get you to kill, and you don't want to lose to him."

Dane smiled meaningfully:

"Bruce, you are very conceited, and I am sure you are aware of that."

"But you are wise enough to avoid the side effects of such arrogance."

"But the Joker is different. He's another you."

"If the person who walked out of that alley back then wasn't Batman, then it must have been the Joker."

"What do you want to say?" Batman asked.

"As for the Joker, any reasonable person would know that such a lunatic shouldn't be allowed to live."

"Anyone in this world can die. You can, I can, Jason can, why can't the Joker?"

Batman turned to look at Jason: "You think so too?"

"certainly."

"Then you can no longer be Robin."

The style of Jason's battle suit began to change, his pointed ears disappeared, and his mask turned bright red.

There was nothing on it except the blood-red color.

"From now on, please call me 'Red Hood'!"

This look is more like a killer than a superhero.

Even Deathstroke wasn't so murderous.

Batman understood what he meant and turned to Dane:

"You said you formed an organization called the 'Justice League' to carry out murder missions?"

"Of course not. This is an organization established to respond to global disasters."

"Catching and dealing with common criminals is not really within our purview."

"A global disaster?"

"This is an organizational secret."

Batman glanced at him and suddenly said:

"I want to join."

"Then you must first be tested by the organization and only then can you join."

Are you kidding? I invited you politely before, but you refused.

It's not that easy to add more whenever you want now.

But Batman's expression remained unchanged: "What do you want to test, and when will it start?"

Dane looked around and thought this place was pretty good.

"Right here, right now."

"The test is simple. Let a member of the organization examine your abilities."

"If you win, you stay. If you lose, I'm sorry. Let's work together again if there's a chance."

Batman's mouth twitched slightly:

"Am I going to fight you?"

"What if I say yes?" Dane asked with interest.

Bruce's eye twitched.

If you want to kill me, just say it directly. There's no need to beat around the bush.

"Okay, just kidding. Your opponent is Jason. If you beat him, you can stay."

Batman was relieved, and he said stubbornly:

"Actually, if I just give you some time, it's not impossible for me to challenge you."

"Forget it. I'm afraid I won't be able to control my strength and kill you."

Dane gave him no respect at all.

Jason, standing aside, was very unhappy. What does this mean? Do you think you are sure to win?

Dane, as if remembering something, said:

"By the way, Jason just returned from training with the Assassin's League. His strength has improved a lot. Be careful."

Coupled with the high-tech battle suit given to him by Dane, it is really questionable whether Batman can win, after all, he is not in his peak condition.

Dane looked at Jason again:

"Any weapon other than lethal weapons will do. Come on, beat up this old bat."

Jason nodded silently and used his suit to form two metal rods that flashed with blue arcs of electricity.

Batman breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he had changed into a set of light power armor before coming, otherwise it would be difficult to fight.

Dane didn't continue watching. He floated up and then rushed straight into the sky.

He flew all the way back to Wayne Manor, observing as he flew, and helping any passers-by who needed help.

There aren't many good people left in Gotham now, but there are still some, and he can't just turn a blind eye.

Half an hour later, he returned to Wayne Manor.

As soon as he came back, he found that Damian was looking at him with a sharp gaze.

"What's up?"

"What you did just now was so hot!"

I almost forgot that this little brat is still a teenager, at the age of middle school.

He was dancing around, looking completely different from the arrogant and demanding look he had at the beginning.

"How did you do that?"

"It's simple. First, you have to become a god."

Dane patted his shoulder and walked past little Damian, who looked confused.

"Afu, he was just trying to fool me, wasn't he?"

Damian looked depressed.

Alfred smiled kindly, "It seems so, Master Damian."

Ah, this looks so much like the old man when he was a child!

"Is everything settled?"

Diana has returned to the manor at this time. Clark and Nightwing are also here. Nightwing is reminiscing with Barbara.

Poison Ivy stood in an unnoticed corner, minding her own business.

"Yes, it's resolved. The rest will be left to the local government and police."

"Batman's side..." Clark hesitated.

Dane knew what he was going to ask, but he didn't say much. "He's already agreed to join us."

"So sudden?" Diana raised her eyebrows.

"He probably wants to monitor us. After all, there are almost three gods among the current members."

"If he doesn't watch it himself, he won't be able to sleep well at night."

"That seems like something he would do." Diana covered her mouth and chuckled.

Dane turned his attention to Poison Ivy. He personally admired Poison Ivy, but she had too many stains and was not suitable to join the Justice League.

"What are your plans for the future?"

Poison Ivy faced his gaze calmly: "Same as always."

"That won't do. I'll have to go to jail to get you out soon." Dane laughed.

"Who needs you to rescue them? There's no way those humans can trap me." Poison Ivy snorted.

Diana looked at this scene with a frown on her face, but it soon relaxed.

"The world will change faster and faster in the future. Your abilities have been noticed by the 'Sky Eye Society', and they won't let you go."

"Well...like this, you follow me. You know, you have no right to refuse."

Poison Ivy was annoyed by his dominance and secretly threw some spores on him, trying to get into his body.

As a result, as soon as the spores touched Dane's body, they were burned to ashes by lightning.

He looked at Barbara again and said to the girl in the wheelchair:

"I can cure your paralysis. Would you like to stand up again?"
