Dane flew into the Central Chamber, greeted by the gazes of countless Green Lanterns, where he met several Little Blue People.
"Earthling, please state your purpose for coming to Oa!"
Nine small blue dwarves looked solemn and dignified, like important figures about to assert their authority.
But would Dane be afraid of that?
As a seasoned trickster, he blurted out nonsense:
"Last night, I observed the celestial phenomena and gained some insight. Today, all of you are in for a bloody disaster!"
As soon as these words came out, not only the Little Blue People but even Hal was stunned by him.
Lanakka couldn't help but exclaim, "Alarmist!"
Ah ~ that's the right flavor!
Dane became more invigorated and began to spout nonsense: "Isn't it? Don't tell me all those Green Lanterns outside are back for a party."
Ganthet calmly said at this moment: "Hal Jordan is your friend; you can get some information from him."
"The lantern ring's warning is for all Green Lanterns."
"Oh? Only Green Lanterns?" Dane asked with a smile.
Ganthet didn't understand the meaning behind his smile and frowned, saying, "Of course."
So, under everyone's watchful eyes, Dane raised his right hand.
The Guardians were on alert, but they didn't sense any malice or unusual energy fluctuations from Dane.
But the next second, a green streak of light flew out from one of the Guardians and, in a blink, flew into Dane's hand.
It seemed to want to directly put itself on Dane's finger, but he firmly held it down, preventing it from succeeding.
"This..." Even the Guardians had never encountered such a situation.
"Are you a new Green Lantern?" Lanakka asked suspiciously.
Dane shook his head.
"Then how can you summon Sinestro's lantern ring?"
There's no such precedent!
Ganthet waved his hand, not letting Lanakka dwell on these minor details. He looked at Dane gravely:
"Sinestro's lantern ring is in your hand, but the Lantern Battery has not informed us of his demise. So what is his situation now?"
Dane praised his keen insight before saying, "What I'm about to tell you, you might find unbelievable, but please listen carefully..."
"Thaal Sinestro, he has betrayed the Green Lantern Corps."
"Nonsense!"
"Impossible!"
"You're absolutely mad!"
"Do you know what you're saying?"
"He's hailed as the greatest Green Lantern alongside Abin Sur; how could he betray the Corps..."
As expected, as soon as Dane finished speaking, the Little Blue People above erupted into a clamor.
But Dane keenly sensed their inner unease, especially Ganthet, the wisest among the Guardians, who was silently contemplating.
Finally, it was he who clapped on the high platform, signaling everyone to be quiet.
"Earthling..."
Dane smiled and interjected, "You can call me Shazam."
Ganthet nodded: "Earthling Shazam, you must know that what you just said is a very serious accusation against a Green Lantern. Do you have any evidence?"
Dane raised the lantern ring in his hand: "This is physical evidence."
Then he looked at Hal next to him: "This is the witness. I forgot to tell you, when Sinestro defected, Hal was responsible for pursuing him."
He said with some regret: "However, in the end, only his ring was left; he himself was not captured."
Ganthet immediately turned to Hal: "Hal Jordan, could you please explain the specific process in detail?"
In fact, as an immortal race, the Little Blue People were capable of acquiring information through mind-reading.
But Ganthet was clearly more principled; he didn't do that, giving Hal and Dane enough respect.
Hal also didn't play coy; he recounted everything he had seen and heard on Korugar.
The Guardians were all old hands who had engaged in political struggles long ago, so how could they not see that someone was scheming against Hal?
However, as a newly appointed Green Lantern, Hal hadn't really done anything wrong, just a bit too impetuous.
And... they didn't expect Sinestro to be a dictatorial tyrant on his home Planet, which was beyond their expectations.
Because this was explicitly forbidden in the Corps. Sinestro, hailed as the greatest Green Lantern, openly violated the rules—this was a slap in the Guardians' faces!
Several Guardians who had always trusted Sinestro couldn't help but become suspicious, but Ganthet almost immediately believed it.
As one of the few Maltusians who secretly retained emotions, he had often seen unsettling ambition in Sinestro's eyes.
So he quickly accepted Hal's account, then turned to Dane:
"Even if everything is true, do you think that Sinestro, without his lantern ring, still has the ability to threaten Oa?"
Yes, not only Ganthet but all the Guardians thought the same.
Without his lantern ring, Sinestro was, in essence, just an ordinary person. How could he possibly have the ability to threaten Oa?
It's impossible for him to even make the lantern ring automatically warn all Green Lanterns.
"Not with Sinestro's own strength. What if you add the power of the Yellow Emotional Spectrum?"
"What did you say!"
"Where did you get this information?"
"This Earthling is too dangerous; coercive measures must be taken!"
Hearing Dane mention the Yellow Emotional Spectrum, all the Little Blue People were greatly alarmed and started clamoring again.
Dane found it annoying and released a hint of Old Gods' power.
The weather on Oa suddenly underwent strange changes. Dark clouds and lightning appeared out of nowhere, and all the Green Lanterns looked up at the sky in astonishment.
This was an unprecedented situation!
Because the climate and weather on Oa were entirely artificially controlled.
The Little Blue People looked at the drastically changing sky and fell silent in unison, their nine pairs of eyes immediately fixed on Dane.
Ganthet's voice was low: "Old Gods!"
But that's impossible!
Didn't the Old Gods enter another dimension a long time ago?
No! There's another possibility. Ganthet looked at Dane, who gave him a smile.
A demigod, a human-god hybrid, could possess such authority, not far from a true God.
The Guardians finally changed their attitude towards Dane.
The Old Gods, in terms of status, were perhaps more noble than these self-proclaimed Guardians.
Now no one dared to suggest doing anything to him. No matter which lineage of Gods, they were not something the Little Blue People could contend with.
Otherwise, why do you think they were so soft when facing Darkseid?
In terms of being flexible, the Little Blue People have always done very well.
"So, if this crisis was indeed caused by Sinestro, what do you think he would do?"
Seeing that they were sensible, Dane withdrew his 'divine power' and calmly said:
"I heard that your sealed Yellow Element was stolen?"
The Guardians' expressions immediately changed again. What? Are you here to challenge us?
But Ganthet, after much thought, said with some uncertainty, "You mean, the Yellow Impurity is Sinestro..."
"But how did he do it? Sinestro doesn't have the ability to create yellow light weapons, let alone utilize the power of yellow light."
"Don't be so sure. If Sinestro dared to betray the Green Lantern Corps, then it's very likely he found an accomplice."
Dane hinted, "Moreover, there shouldn't be only you who can create Emotional Spectrum weapons, right?"
Dane's words weren't entirely based on his memories of the plot from his previous life. Sinestro obviously couldn't abandon the power of the green lantern before acquiring new power.
The fact that he dared to throw the lantern ring to Hal indicates that he believed the time was ripe to switch equipment.
Ganthet seemed to have thought of something and exchanged glances with his companions.
Lanakka couldn't help but say, "That prophecy..."
But as soon as he uttered a few words, he was sternly silenced by Ganthet's gaze, but he himself couldn't help but recall that prophecy.
The prophecy of the Emotional Spectrum War!
Despite all their precautions, they still couldn't prevent it?
Ganthet's gaze returned to Dane: "Then what is your purpose in coming here?"
Dane said solemnly:
"Hal is a member of Earth's Justice League. He wants to come to Oa to fulfill his duty as a Green Lantern. This is an act of justice, and I cannot stop him."
"But as a comrade-in-arms with whom I have fought alongside, I am willing to participate in this operation in a private capacity."
The Guardians' expressions were thought-provoking upon hearing this, but they all basically conveyed the same meaning.
A weasel paying respects to a chicken has no good intentions!
