As the chief drill sergeant of the Green Lantern Corps, Kilowog held high prestige among Green Lanterns, arguably second only to Sinestro and Abin Sur.
So, the suppressed Green Lanterns felt wronged, but didn't dare to show it.
One of the Green Lanterns mumbled quietly,
"We weren't looking for trouble, just asking questions. Why be so tense... Huh? I can speak?"
Only after speaking his mind did the Green Lantern suddenly realize that his mouth, he didn't know when, was actually able to open.
What a miraculous power! He looked at Dane across from him in surprise.
Although the other party made no movement, he had a hunch that this was done by the other party.
"Kilowog, it's been a while."
Dane acted as if he was very familiar with the other party, grabbing his arm and pulling him aside.
Under his immense strength, even a tough man like Kilowog was powerless to resist.
Kilowog's expression was not good. His backbone was harder than all other Green Lanterns.
Even knowing he couldn't beat Dane, he didn't give him a good look.
He said in an unfriendly tone, "What are you doing here?"
Dane completely ignored the other party's tone, still acting very familiar.
"Don't be like that, Kilowog. We're old acquaintances, you could say. I'm here because I saw you guys were in trouble and wanted to see if you needed my help."
What the hell is "old acquaintances"? It only counts if there's give and take. If I'm just getting beaten up one-sidedly, I'd rather never have met you in my life!
It was better if he hadn't mentioned it. The moment he did, Kilowog's face darkened, and he yanked his thick arm out of Dane's grip.
"What exactly are you here for? Oa is very sensitive right now. I don't have time to chat with you!"
Dane waved a finger, setting up a silencing barrier around the two of them.
Kilowog's muscles tensed, and he instinctively assumed a fighting stance.
But he quickly realized that even if the other party wanted to fight, it wouldn't happen surrounded by a group of Green Lanterns, so he relaxed again.
Dane found his actions a little amusing. It seemed the last battle had left a deep impression on him!
He stopped wasting words, clenched his palm in front of Kilowog's eyes, then opened it again, and a green ring appeared in his palm as if by magic.
Kilowog's expression changed, and he quickly took the ring to verify it.
Generally, a Green Lantern would never take off his lantern ring.
Unless the wearer had met with an unfortunate end, like Abin Sur.
After verification, the lantern ring told Kilowog that this ring belonged to Sinestro.
"This is impossible!"
Fortunately, Dane had set up a silencing barrier beforehand, otherwise, with that volume, it would have attracted everyone's attention.
"Where did you get this ring?"
Kilowog stared intently at Dane. He swore that if the other party said he had killed Sinestro and stolen it,
he would risk his own life to give the other party a harsh lesson!
However, Dane quickly said lightly, "Sinestro abandoned this himself."
"Huh?"
"He abandoned the Green Lantern ring, and the lantern ring also abandoned him."
Kilowog's expression was very strange. Dane wasn't quite sure what that expression meant on an alien.
But he could hear the anger in Kilowog's voice: "Can you vouch for what you're saying?!"
"Of course. In fact, Hal was the one who personally experienced this."
Kilowog turned to look at Hal outside. He stood there alone, arms crossed, looking around, appearing aloof.
"I originally didn't want to come," Dane suddenly said.
"Although the lantern ring sounded an alarm, for Earth, what happens to Oa in the future is irrelevant."
"That's how it is for me, and that's how it is for Hal too."
Kilowog said stiffly, "This is every Green Lantern's duty!"
Dane reminded him, "The premise is that you truly consider him a member of the Green Lanterns, but in my opinion, that's not the case."
The entire Oa had a prejudice against Earthlings, and he didn't know who started this trend.
There was even a rumor on Oa that Earthlings were a bunch of untrustworthy and faithless individuals.
Dane didn't rule out that some people were indeed like that, and the proportion wasn't small.
But everyone was in the same boat; races on other Planets weren't much better, otherwise, why would the Green Lantern Corps maintain order?
Weren't they all one big loving family?
So, someone must have been secretly spreading rumors, slandering Earthlings.
And the culprit was easy to guess; this matter was definitely related to the Little Blue People.
According to the settings of the DC Universe, Earth is the center of the entire Universe, and the Presence resides here.
To protect this secret, the Little Blue People deliberately claimed Oa was the center of the Universe and even arranged for someone to record history.
That's right, I'm talking about the 'Oa Book,' which is hailed as the 'historical record' of Oa.
The things recorded in this book, after being circulated for a long time, would be increasingly believed by more and more people.
Until now, most known civilizations in the Universe have acknowledged Oa as the center of the Universe and recognized the Little Blue People's division of the 3600 sectors.
As a result, Earth seemed quite inconspicuous.
But even with a toenail's worth of thought, it's clear that no other Planet in the Universe experiences as many disasters as Earth.
Nor does any other Planet produce such a vast number of Superheroes and Supervillains as Earth; she must have something extraordinary about her!
Why did Darkseid target Earth back then?
It was because he knew the Anti-Life Equation was on Earth, and why was it on Earth? Because the most powerful force in this Universe, the Presence, is on Earth.
Only the Presence can fully suppress the power of the Anti-Life Equation, allowing Earth to become a special region 'blessed with outstanding people and resources.'
So Dane believed that if the Little Blue People truly took this crisis seriously, they would not refuse Hal's help.
Because they should believe in the great potential of people from Earth; wasn't Volthoom a good example?
Kilowog also knew that Earthlings don't have the best reputation intergalactically, but he was actually a bit curious.
Before meeting Hal, he had never met an Earthling and didn't know why such a stereotype had formed.
Don't let his burly appearance fool you; before becoming a Green Lantern, he was a scientist! Scientists should always seek truth and facts.
But Kilowog didn't dare to criticize the Guardians and could only say:
"...They just don't understand Hal. Perhaps he should do something to make everyone look at him in a new light?"
"Heh." Dane smiled, pointing to the lantern ring in Kilowog's hand: "What a coincidence, isn't it? I think this thing is enough to prove himself."
"At least I believe your Guardians will find no fault."
Kilowog honestly said, "That requires the Guardians to judge; I have no right to decide."
Dane didn't make things difficult for him:
"Then do what you should do. Also, regarding this incident on your Planet Oa, I personally have some immature thoughts, and you must introduce me to the Guardians."
"That's impossible!" Kilowog instinctively refused.
Dane's expression immediately changed: "Then don't blame me for breaking in directly. You know my strength; these small fries here can't even stop two of my punches!"
Kilowog looked at him in disbelief.
On Oa, at the Green Lantern Corps headquarters, in this place garrisoned by over three thousand Green Lanterns and countless reservists.
You say you're going to flatten it!
How little do you think of us!
But Dane's thoughts were:
For a single Green Lantern, he needs to be careful; for two Green Lanterns, he can try a double attack; for three Green Lanterns, he dares to grab the opponent and pummel them.
More than five Green Lanterns? Sorry, I dare to go on a rampage and slaughter!
However, Kilowog, considering the opponent's unreasonable strength and the unknown future enemies of Oa, still chose not to start a war here.
He decided to report Hal and Dane's matter to the Guardian Council. What he didn't expect was that the Guardians actually decided to meet them.
When Kilowog came to inform them, the big guy still looked a bit bewildered.
"I don't understand why." In his impression, the Guardians' attitude towards arrogant outsiders like Dane was always firm.
"If you understood, you'd be a Guardian." Dane said, then pushed him aside: "Move aside a bit, you smell strange."
Kilowog was almost half-dead with anger!
