The power of love is immeasurable.
When Juvia saw the man she adored kissing another woman before her very eyes—her heart shattered.
Unable to bear such a sight, something inside her broke. At that moment, Juvia's magic surged beyond its limits. Her rain clouds expanded, spreading across the skies until they blanketed the entirety of Alabasta.
And at that moment—
All of Alabasta erupted in an uproar!
The Royal Capital — Albana
King Cobra sat slumped upon his throne, exhaustion etched deep into his features. Since the day he had inherited the crown, he had ruled with sincerity and devotion. For years, his benevolent governance had won the love of his people.
But those days now felt like a distant dream.
For over two years, the kingdom had endured a merciless drought. Only Albana, the capital, would receive occasional rain.
At first, people believed this was Heaven's mercy—a divine blessing bestowed upon the king for his kindness. They took pride in it, celebrating it as a sign of favor from above.
But as the years dragged on, the rumors grew darker.
Whispers spread that King Cobra had secretly used forbidden Dance Powder, hoarding the skies' blessings for the capital while robbing the rest of Alabasta of rain.
His beloved daughter had risked her life for the sake of their people, yet she remained missing.
As king, he could do nothing but endure. That helplessness gnawed at his soul.
If anything could change their fate—
It would be rain.
At last, the desperate wish was answered.
"Your Majesty! The rain—it's coming!" cried the vice-captain of the Kingdom Guard, Bell, his voice trembling with excitement.
"Is it Albana again?" King Cobra asked bitterly, his tone stripped of joy.
"Not this time, my lord!" Bell replied, gesturing toward the horizon with trembling hands. "This is different—Yuba, Alma, Cattleya... the whole kingdom! Great cumulonimbus clouds are stretching across the skies, covering all of Alabasta!"
"What…!?"
The weary king's eyes snapped open. With newfound strength, he stumbled from the hall, rushing outside.
There, before his eyes, the sky had transformed. A vast blanket of storm clouds stretched to the ends of the earth.
For the first time in years, joy surged through his heart. His chest heaved, tears pricking at his eyes as he watched the heavens open.
"Your Majesty—more good news!" another officer, Jaka, called breathlessly as he hurried forward.
"Hahaha! Jaka, if it's the rain, you're already late—everyone in the kingdom can see it!" Bell said with a booming laugh.
"No, not the rain!" Jaka shouted, his face alight with relief. "Captain Igaram and Karoo have returned safely!"
"What!? And what about Vivi—has my daughter returned as well!?" King Cobra's voice broke with emotion.
Oasis City — Yuba
Once, Yuba had been known as a thriving oasis. But after years of relentless drought, its waters had nearly dried to nothing. The once-vibrant heart of the desert now lay on the brink of death.
And then—rain fell.
An old man named Toto collapsed to his knees, letting the water soak through his clothes. Tears streamed down his weathered face.
"Rain… real rain! Kousha, you fool—open your eyes! Can you still claim that King Cobra stole the skies from us?" he wept, clutching the wet earth.
Koza, the fiery young leader of the rebels, stared blankly at the heavens. The raindrops streaked down his face, mingling with his disbelief.
"It's… raining. Could we… have been wrong all along?" he whispered, his voice shaking.
All across Alabasta, the skies opened.
For the first time in years, torrents of water poured down upon the parched desert. The kingdom became a sea of joy.
Men, women, and children rushed into the streets, crying, laughing, and dancing in the downpour. Their voices—shouts, sobs, and songs of celebration—rose in harmony with the sound of rain.
The entire land was alive again.
The City of Dreams — Rainbase
Not all rejoiced.
In Rainbase, the city of mirages, a certain Warlord of the Sea stared grimly out the window.
"So, that's the tale you tell me?" Crocodile muttered coldly, his sharp eyes narrowing at the woman across from him.
Robin gave a faint smile. "He even invited me to join him. But I declined."
"Guha-ha-ha… a wise decision," Crocodile sneered. "Only by following me can you achieve your goals in this kingdom."
Robin nodded politely, though her eyes betrayed no allegiance.
Crocodile lifted a glass of wine, gazing at his reflection in the crimson liquid. "Hmph. Fairy Tail? Just some naive brat who doesn't know the weight of this world. To think he dares challenge me—the one even the Marines can't tame. I'd like to see what he can possibly do against me."
But then—
His smirk froze.
Outside, rain hammered down.
Crocodile's hand trembled. The cheers of the people filled the streets of Rainbase, the sound of their jubilation carried into his ears like the laughter of fate itself.
"It's… actually raining," he muttered in disbelief.
Robin tilted her head, her tone mocking. "Strange, isn't it? You claimed this desert would never see rain again under your power. Yet here it is—a storm across the entire kingdom. A devastating blow to your plans, wouldn't you say?"
Crocodile's glass shattered in his grip, red wine spilling like blood across the floor.
"Fairy Tail!" he roared, his voice thunderous with rage.
Years of scheming—ruined in an instant.
The Alabasta Takeover Plan.
The Pluton Weapon Retrieval Plan.
All of it crumbled before this single rainfall.
His teeth clenched, eyes wild with fury. "I locked every last drop of moisture in this sky with my Sand-Sand Fruit. This drought was my creation! So why… why does the rain fall!?"
Robin's voice was calm, her logic undeniable. "Although I don't know how, there's only one possible culprit. This phenomenon can only be the work of Fairy Tail. Consider it a challenge, straight from their president—Sugisawa Yuuto."
"Yuuto…!" Crocodile spat the name with venom.
With a violent crash, he hurled the broken goblet aside. "Enough! If it's war they want—then war they shall have! Nico Robin, summon every agent. I want Fairy Tail annihilated—wiped so clean they won't even leave corpses to bury!"
