Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 THE BLOOD- SOAKED CRIME SCENE

The Investigation Begins

The news of the brutal murder of CI Srinivas Rao and his woman

Suhasini spread through the municipality like campfire. This terrible act, which took place in the early hours, deeply shocked the police department. Following critical orders from DGP Ramesh Varma and the recently appointed DGP Prakash Rao, a large contingent of police forces tightly sealed off Srinivas Rao's house. The security was so tight that not indeed a splint could get out.

The forensic platoon and the canine platoon had formerly arrived at the scene. Although their faces showed a clear commitment to chancing substantiation, the attack on a coworker's family created a deep sense of apprehension in their hearts. As they stepped inside the house, the smell of blood saluted them. The erratic objects on the bottom, the broken glass, the pellet marks — every detail painted a pictorial picture of the holocaust and struggle that had taken place the former night.

The head of the forensic platoon, Dr. Vikram Chaudhary( a calm critic who gives significance to every detail, famed for his forensic chops), began a scrupulous hunt with his platoon. Head Constable Murthy and other police officers stood coming to Dr. Vikram at the crime scene, anxiety easily visible in their eyes.

" Dr. Vikram, what is the situation? Have you set up any vital substantiation?" Murthy asked anxiously, his despair palpable.

Vikram acclimated his gloves and looked around gravely." Mr. Murthy, this is not just a murder; it's a brutal death. Looking at the destruction in the house and the number of pellet marks, it's clear that there were numerous perpetrators, and they acted with extreme violence," he said, his voice reflecting his keen compliances.

Uncovering the suggestions

At the same time, another forensic croaker

, Akhila Varma( known for her keen observation and moxie in ultramodern forensic ways), was collecting blood samples in a plastic bag." Sir, we set up several types of blood samples then. This is not just the victims' blood. It seems there's blood from other people as well. Looking at how the blood was splashed in some places, it appears the lawbreakers were also wounded," she reported to Vikram with a slight excitement — a sign that a major indication had been set up.

Vikram examined the samples, his eyes lighting up." Excellent! These are the most vital pieces of substantiation in our case. shoot them to the lab incontinently for critical DNA tests. This will tell us the number of lawbreakers. This will be a strong foundation for us," he ordered.

Another expert, Mr. Shiva Kumar( an expert in substantiation collection, known for inferring big suggestions from small details), was examining the vestiges on the bottom." Sir, there are different types of vestiges then. At least six to seven people feel to have entered. The shoes of one of them are fully worn out. These prints are veritably clear, and we're collecting their patterns," he explained, working adroitly.

Murthy looked on in surprise." You can find it so fluently, man? This will be a huge advance," he said, filling with the stopgap that they would surely catch the lawbreakers.

" Absolutely, Mr. Murthy. Every footmark tells a story. It's clear that a fierce struggle took place then. Srinivas Rao fought heroically until his last breath," Vikram replied, his voice filled with respect.

Vikram himself, with extreme care, took the gun lying coming to CI Srinivas Rao's body. rigorously collecting the fingerprints on it, he explained," The fingerprints on this gun are veritably critical. We need to find out if there are any other fingerprints besides Srinivas Rao's. This will clarify whether he used it for tone- defense or if the perpetrators left it before."

The pellet shells set up on the walls, bottom, and cabinetwork were also precisely collected." Looking at these pellet shells, they are not from ordinary ordnance. They feel to have used high- quality munitions, maybe automatic rifles. Ballistics experts will confirm the type of security. This will help us identify the lawbreakers' profile," an expert told Murthy.

When they looked for the CCTV footage on a pole outside the gate, they set up that it had been destroyed." Looking at how the gate cinch was broken, it seems the lawbreakers were veritably strong and had a veritably tight plan. The fact that the CCTV footage was destroyed beforehand indicates their intelligence," Dr. Vikram mused.

The canine platoon followed the scent and set up that some of the assaulters had escaped by jumping over the wall behind the house.

" Good. Every small piece of substantiation helps in working this case. Examine every inch fully. Do not leave a single indication behind," Dr. Vikram ordered his platoon, determination blazing in his eyes.

Media delirium and Public Fear

While the police and forensic platoon were busy at the house, information was released to the media as per DGP Ramesh Varma's orders. Media representatives and their vehicles crowded to the house. In moments, dozens of cameras, microphones, and flashlights turned the area into a battlefield.

Dhwani TV, anchored by Smitha Varma( known for her honesty and credibility), reported live," The municipality was shocked this morning by the news that CI Srinivas Rao, a symbol of honesty, and his woman

, Suhasini, were severely boggled. An incident like this passing in a police officer's own house raises serious questions about law and order. Who's behind this murder? What are the powers behind it? Until these questions are answered, the public will have to live in fear."

On another channel, Prabhatha Vaarthalu, the anchor Sunitha Devi( known for her sharp and socially responsible reporting) said in her discussion," This incident proves that the law and order situation in the municipality has deteriorated poorly! The fact that a police officer was boggled in his own home is causing serious fear among the public! Was Srinivas Rao offered just for being honest? This is not just a murder; it's a poke in the face of the system!"

This news snappily came breaking news on all channels. The entire municipality was stupefied. far and wide — in tea shops, at machine stops, in services — there were whispers and fierce exchanges about the murder.

" What's wrong with this world these days? If police officers are not safe, what about ordinary people like us?" an old, pessimistic man named Penke Venkat Rao said anxiously.

" This is surely a revenge murder! This is the work of the big shots he caught. However, numerous further atrocities will be," a straightforward person named Rajeshwari Devi said with wrathfulness, If they are not caught.

" Why should we get into these troubles? It's better for us to live by keeping our heads down. However, we will also face the same fate," a selfish businessman named Subbarao said, If we speak out.

Part 4 The Funeral and the Solitude

The death of Srinivas Rao and Suhasini not only created a sensation but also left an indelible crack in the minds of the people. The brutal murder of an honest police officer deeply disturbed the public.

A grand burial was held. Hundreds of people, police officers, and well- provision attended. The police gave a full honor guard, firing ordnance into the air as a homage.

In the middle of the crowd, Ram stood still in a corner. The gashes in his eyes had dried up. His face was impassive, filled with a deep sense of loneliness. When his parents' bodies were placed on the barrow, the horrifying scenes from the former night flashed before his eyes — the shots, the cries, his parents' helpless gapes. Those scenes tore his small heart piecemeal. Ram was left fully alone in the world, like a rudder without a boat.

After the burial, Srinivas Rao's associates tried to console Ram." Be strong, my boy. You are not alone; we're then for you," a sympathetic police officer said, stroking Ram's shoulder. But Ram did not hear to anyone. A void had girdled him. He stood like a statue, unfit to express his immense inner pain.

Ram was kept at the police station for three days. Head Constable Murthy, motorist Chary, and other officers tried to talk to him, but Ram remained silent, lost in his inner world.

The officers made a strong trouble to communicate Srinivas Rao's cousins. still, none of Srinivas Rao's family members or relatives showed any interest in taking Ram with them. Some made defenses about their fiscal situation, while others openly expressed their fear.

" A police family. Why should we get involved in their hostility? Raising their child means inviting pitfall," a relation said bluntly. Egoism and fear were clear in his voice." We do not have the courage to raise that child. Our lives would also be in peril."

With this, the officers decided to place Ram in an orphanage. The orphanage was named' Mathruchaya'( A Mother's Shadow). It was a peaceful place, but in Ram's eyes, it all looked like darkness and emptiness.
