still, unexpectedly, none of Srinivas Rao's family members or cousins showed any interest in taking Ram with them. Some of them made defenses about their fiscal situation, while others openly expressed their fear." A police family. Why should we get involved in their jaundice? Raising their child means inviting peril," the officers understood they were told to their face. They did not indeed want to look at Ram." We can not do it, joe. We know how honest Srinivas was and how numerous adversaries he had. We do not have the courage to raise that child. Our lives would also be in peril," a relation said bluntly. egoism and fear were clear in his words, and his voice sounded harsh.
With this, the officers decided to place Ram in an orphanage. The orphanage was named' Mathruchaya'( a symbol of a mama 's love). It was a large lot with green trees and a small children's play area, with a peaceful atmosphere. But in Ram's eyes, it all looked like darkness and emptiness
The verdure also looked breathless to his eyes; it did not bring him any joy. His internal darkness had covered the external world.
Ram was brought into the orphanage. Other children were playing, laughing, and busy. Their horselaugh sounded like a strange noise to Ram's cognizance. It felt like a new language he could not understand. He did not want to interact with anyone. He sat quietly in a corner, coiled up into himself. A deep depression was easily visible on his face, as if a ocean had filled him. The directors of the orphanage, especially Sister Mary( the orphanage director, an old woman filled with love and kindness; she has immense love and affection for children in her eyes; her words have a special comfort; she's a true mama to the orphan children; her calm nature attracts anyone), understood Ram's situation. They tried hard to comfort him, to talk to him, and to open his mind.
" Look, Ram, you do not have to be hysterical then. We're then for you. This is your home. You're safe then. Do not vacillate to ask if you need anything," Sister Mary asked sluggishly and affectionately. Her voice was filled with a mama 's love. Ram looked at her formerly and also bowed his head again. There was no emotion in his eyes; his expression was breathless. He was left alone in his world. In his mind, the horrifying scenes of that night were replaying in a circle, hanging him and leaving him with insomniac nights.
A Spark of vengeance
It had been about twenty- five days since Ram joined the' Mathruchaya' orphanage. In these twenty- five days, he had n't spoken to anyone or interacted with anyone. The other children at the orphanage were originally curious about Ram. His silence attracted them." Why does not he ever speak? Why is he always alone?" a little girl named Chitti( an innocent girl with curiosity in her eyes; she's interested in everything and bothers others with her questions) asked her friend. Ram's intelligence and his silence kept them at a distance, creating an unknown fear. Ram did not share in games or talk to anyone. He always sounded to be allowing about commodity, as if he were in a deep contemplation. His eyes were always searching for commodity, as if he were looking for an internal thing. He spent utmost of his time in the orphanage library, immersing himself in books as if he were turning knowledge into a armament and preparing for his unborn battle.
One autumn, on the twenty- ninth day of his stay at the orphanage, a small problem arose. A boy's toy was missing, and no bone
knew who had stolen it. The children were all condemning each other and crying anxiously. Chaos reigned. Family Mary was also confused about whom to condemn and did not know how to break the problem. There was a kind of helplessness in her eyes. Ram was observing this incident from a distance. His eyes were sharp, strictly observing every movement like a camera lens. That power of observation and intelligence formerly again shone in his eyes, as if he'd set up a result. He quietly anatomized each person's movements and words, as if searching for a shaft of light in the darkness.
After a while, Ram sluggishly went to Sister Mary and said vocally and easily," Family, Ravi stole that toy. It's in his right fund." Family Mary was astounded by his words. Her eyes widened." How did you know that, Ram? You did not indeed know the toy was missing," she asked with some surprise and curiosity. Her voice was a blend of unbelief and admiration.
Ram spoke calmly and descriptively." When he was talking about the toy, his right hand kept going into his fund. When people lie, they frequently move their body corridor inevitably. That indicates their anxiety. also, when the other children were bothered about the missing toy, he was trying hard not to smile. A kind of happiness was visible in his eyes, which was n't present in the other children. That strengthened my dubitation
," he explained. A spark of unknown skill was visible in the little boy's words, a sign of his unborn trip. There was a sharpness and clarity in his words that reflected his deep studies.
When Sister Mary checked Ravi's fund, she set up the toy. Ravi's face incontinently went pale, and he bowed his head. The children looked at Ram with astonishment. Everyone understood his intelligence, but at the same time, they started looking at Ram as a little strange and distant. His extraordinary intelligence bullied them. Family Mary looked at Ram and said," Ram, you're a veritably smart boy. Your power of observation is amazing. You'll come a great person in the future," she praised him. A special sparkle appeared in her eyes, as if she could see his future.
Ram went back into his solitary world of books. He did not realize or watch that his intelligence was making him lonely. In his mind, a vengeance and a thing were sluggishly taking shape against the forces behind his parents' death, like a spark. This small incident was a strong step for his future, but his solitary trip continued.
Darkness had enveloped him, but in that darkness, a new shaft of light burned within him. Was it the honey of vengeance? Was it the first step toward justice? Where will Ram's solitary trip and his growing chops take him? How will he take vengeance for his parents' death? We'll see what twists his life takes in the coming occasion.
