Selene's POV
The cool whisper brushed my mind with warmth again. This time clearer. Sharper. As if the voice had leaned close enough for its breath to touch my skin.
'He is awake.'
Those were the words I heard. Soft. Distant. And the moment they settled into my mind, every lantern flame in Lyra's room trembled as though reacting to the same presence that froze my spine.
I turned sharply toward Lucian, my voice low and unsteady.
"Lucian… I think he is….."
Before I could finish, Lyra shifted slightly beneath her blanket, her brows tightening as if something was pulling her into a dream she did not want to enter. I placed my hand on her forehead and felt a faint vibration beneath her skin. It was not her heartbeat. It was something i can't describe.
Azerath or something is waking her.
"What happened?," Lucian murmured, rising from the couch.
I swallowed painfully.
"I heard a voice in my mind, it said… he is awake."
