Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 Arrival at King's Landing

Varys clasped his hands together and said, "A queen who has always been willful, if you add a brave baron, we can quietly enjoy the rare spectacle of King's Landing."

Petyr Baelish's eyes flickered. "Master Intelligence Master, you seem worried about something."

"As long as King Robert is secure on the Iron Throne, nothing untoward can happen. Therefore, I sleep soundly every night."

"Ah, the premise of your words actually makes me shudder. With only money as my companion every day, I'm becoming more and more worried about accidents. I won't be able to sleep well tonight because of you."

Varys nodded in apology. "My apologies, Lord Treasurer. I was merely expressing my feelings about the state of King's Landing, and I have unexpectedly caused you anxiety. My tongue has lost its sweetness, and now it's emitting anxiety."

Petyr Baelish instinctively sensed the danger posed by Varys, a danger he had never paid much attention to before.

Petyr Baelish pondered the hidden purpose behind Varys's words, but kept his composure. "Well, it was just a joke. I'm sorry I'm not humorous enough. I still have to wait for an audience with Lord Arryn. Good day."

Petyr Baelish said goodbye to Varys with an elegant smile on his face.

The thoughts of this rootless man are the most unpredictable. Today's encounter is definitely not a coincidence. Petyr Baelish has already decided to increase his defense against Varys.

Varys stared at Petyr's departing back silently, and the smile on his face gradually disappeared.

Green stood at the bow of the ship and looked at the majestic King's Landing and the towering Red Castle, and the tune of his previous life emerged in his mind.

After three days and two nights of sailing, the king is now in sight.

Many people in the team suffered from seasickness, which kept Kleber's three doctors busy along the way.

Transporting soldiers from Whispering City to King's Landing is the most time-saving and labor-saving route. If you take the land route, you will have to pass through too many territories, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive.

When soldiers go out to sea for the first time, it is very easy for them to suffer from seasickness on a large scale. In order to avoid affecting the soldiers' combat effectiveness in the future, these adaptation trainings need to be done in advance.

The eastern part of the Crab Claw Peninsula will take some time to consolidate. After that, Green's plan is to "go west" and control the western part of the Crab Claw Peninsula with the power of Crow's Nest Castle.

It would be best to first operate the identity of "Guardian of Crab Claw Peninsula", so that Green's westward advance would be legitimate.

The merchant ship Green was on entered the Blackwater River from Blackwater Bay and docked at the busy Linhemen (locals like to call it Muddy Gate) wharf.

The people who were busy at the dock suddenly felt an uncomfortable sensation as if their skin was tingling, which made them stop what they were doing.

This feeling was not unfamiliar. It was the momentum formed in years of blood and fire. They had seen many similar people, but this time the feeling was deeper. Everyone moved their eyes in the same direction.

Everyone found a group of guards wearing shiny silver plate armor and as tall and strong as iron towers, surrounding a young man.

The young man was tall and thin, wearing a blue robe with swamp marigolds embroidered on the right chest, and a pair of deerskin boots under his white trousers.

The young man has outstanding looks, delicate but not feminine, and instead has a kind of calmness that is inconsistent with his age.

The group of people who had been working at King's Landing Dock for many years had already developed a good eye and moved out of the way, leaving plenty of space for Green and the others.

Surana's eldest son, Leighton, finally waited for Green and his party: "Good day, my master."

Green endured the mixed smells on the dock, frowning slightly. "Is the place to stay in King's Landing ready?"

"I'm ready. I just finished dealing with Crabbe Manor and I just received a raven message from Butler Herschel. My master, it was decided yesterday and it's already been packed. The mansion is located near Hook Harbor. I will show you the way."

Green rode on the horse that Monton brought over, and the tribesmen also rode on their own horses and surrounded Green.

............

King's Landing, Hook Harbor, Green's temporary rental house.

After taking a hot bath, Green felt much better.

Surana took Green's towel and asked, "Only twenty guards left for you?"

"We're not here to fight." Green sat down on a bench and took a breath before continuing, "I noticed quite a few eyes watching us along the way, and that's enough. Leave the guards to Monton and Fury, and you take the rest of the people and settle directly in the manor outside the city."

Surana folded the towel and said, "In addition to the two maids, let's leave a doctor. We have to be prepared for any unexpected events."

Green nodded. "Well, you are always very attentive, Surana."

"I've already had Leighton deliver the letter for an audience with Her Majesty the Queen. It includes this address. While you wait, you can rest and recover from the fatigue of your journey."

"Leave Leighton here. I can rest assured that he will manage the house."

............

In the evening, Hook Harbor, Knight Tavern.

Green sat alone at the table, enjoying his dinner, while Monton and the others sat nearby and ate heartily. After a long day's rest, their appetites, which had been affected by the long voyage, had finally improved.

The door of the tavern was opened again, and a short figure walked in.

Green's position just happened to allow him to see the direction of the door. Tyrion Lannister's features were obvious enough that Green recognized him at a glance.

Green didn't show any abnormality and continued to eat. The roast beef in this restaurant tasted really good.

Tyrion Lannis pulled the bell at the tavern door.

Ding-ling-ling~!

The sound of the bells attracted everyone's attention, and Green followed the crowd and turned his gaze to Tyrion Lannister.

Tyrion Lannister called out, "Men, I must remind you that today is your lucky day. I will pay for all your food and drinks tonight!"
