Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Azula 2

Norrak raised his hands, and with a groan, he punched twice. With his punches, two massive water lasers shot into the air, piercing the cannonball.

But it was not over yet as the two lasers curved in the air, and without a second's hesitation, continued piercing through the rest of the cannonballs. In a second, everything was over.

Dark smoke and flames washed over the sky as Norrak placed his hand down. He looked into the distance, where Azula now had a telescope in her hand, looking straight at him.

"What was that?! I never saw anything like it before," Katara said with narrowed eyes as she looked at the smoke in the sky. She had no idea what those black balls were.

"You two, I told you to hide! Now look what you have done, they will know that you two are waterbenders!" Kanna said with an aggravated tone as she stood up.

Norrak sighed as he walked forward without talking to anyone. Katara followed him, and Kanna watched, unable to do anything. She sighed with anxiety.

"These two, they don't understand the cruelty of the Fire Nation... Although they can bend ice already, they are still not enough," Kanna muttered, oblivious to Norrak and Katara's strength.

She was still stuck in the time when most of the tribe had been killed while trying to fight off the invasion of the Fire Nation. That fear caused her to think that the Fire Nation is stronger than it really is.

Boom!

A shockwave struck the tribe as the tip of the Black Behemoth smashed into the ice, cracking it and sliding for a few meters. On top, Azule stood with a grin, looking down at Norrak.

"Impressive for a mere waterbender. Tell me, are you the avatar that I came to find?" Azula asked with a hint of respect, but also a hint of mockery in her tone.

Katara narrowed her eyes in annoyance at the way Azula said a mere waterbender. Does she think that because she is a firebrand, she is above them or something?

"The avatar? I am afraid you are in the wrong place. I am merely a waterbender. If you want to find the avatar, you should keep looking," Norrak said, not afraid as he crossed his arms.

Yeah, Azula might be the third current strongest Firebender alive. But compared to Iroh and Ozai, she is still not as strong as either of them in a straight-up fight.

Azula's firepower eclipses both of theirs in power, explosiveness, and temperature. Even Norrak has to admit that if her full-powered strike of blue flames hit him, he might be turned to crisps.

"Oh, that's a shame, really. Because if I don't find the avatar, I have no choice but to turn this place into an inferno to make up for my lack of finds~," Azula threatened teasingly, blue flames twirling around her fingers.

The atmosphere between them tensed, and Katara clenched her fists as she got ready for a fight. Norrak looked behind Azula and noticed the soldiers standing behind the cannons.

'I should take them out first since they could fire at the tribe while I am distracted,' Norrak let out a deep breath, causing Azula to raise an eyebrow at him in confusion.

"What? Are you ready to give up? Since that's the case, kneel down and lick my shoe. I might make your death a teensy bit faster," Azula spoke arrogantly, causing the tribe behind Norrak to glare at her, especially Katara.

"What did you say? Give up? Why would I do that when you are all a bunch of weaklings? Unless you are the avatar, you shouldn't raise your voice in front of me," Norrak responded calmly, not becoming angry at her words.

Azula's eyes widened at his response, a hint of pulse threatening to spill out from her chest. The flames around her hands burned brighter, with a fierce temperature spilling out.

"My patience is running out. Tell me where the avatar is, now!" Azula demanded, and Norrak replied with a wiggle of his finger. The sight caused Azula to spill over the edge.

Swoosh!

Two blue jets of flames shot out from behind her back, increasing her speed drastically as Azula jumped down from the Ship. The air around her trembled, twisting due to the massive temperature increase.

Azula's flames were blue in colour, and that was for a good reason. Her body was different, more resilient and more resistant to temperatures, and even her Chi.

Norrak activated his Six Eyes, and he noticed that Azula's Chi interacted with the fire like gasoline with heat. It created a unique situation where her flames experienced an explosive increase from creation.

'So, the reason her flames are blue is because her Chi interacts with the heat from her breathing at a more potent rate,' Norrak analysed as he looked at Azula.

The princess was mere meters from him, and she spun in the air, a jet of blue flames shooting out from behind her heel to increase her spinning speed massively.

Boom!

Norrak felt a bit of pain as he blocked Azula's kick towards his face. The ground under him cracked and dented before a small shockwave blew his white hair around.

Boom!

A flame jet appeared under Azula's foot, and it shot towards Norrak's eyes like a snake. Norrak dodged to the side, and with an enhanced kick, he slammed his foot into Azula's waist.

'She reinforced her body in a skilled way... Did she learn this from Ty Lee, or is she such a genius? Because she definitely increased her strength by half,' Norrak thought with a hint of surprise.

Azula groaned in pain, her eyes widening at the strength behind the kick as she was sent flying into the distance. Her face crashed into the snow, and she slid for a few more meters from the force.

"Protect the princess! Fire, now!" The soldiers on the Ship were commanded by the highest-ranking soldier, and they nodded before punching a straight jab in the air.

Boom!

Tens of flame throwers struck towards Norrak, the temperature increasing wildly in the area. The snow melted, and a thin fog was raised into the air. Noraak was about to reply when Katara stepped forward.

"Let me handle this, I want to see how I can fare against them," Katara said, the fog around her gathering into her palm. Norrak nodded, and Katara narrowed her eyes.

Katara took a breath, and she moved her chin into her fist. She pulled her fist back and then struck the mist that condensed into a ball of water in her palm.

Boom!

A bunch of small raindrops that froze into ice in the middle of the punch shot out towards the soldiers, shredding through their wall of flames and striking them.

The soldiers groaned, feeling like they were punched in their guts as the ice drops hit them. They were shot back, falling onto their backs from the force.

"Tch! Uselsees bunch! I will make sure to give out appropriate punishments when we are back!" Azula screamed in anger before she calmed herself down.

She sprang back up to her feet, wiping the blood trickling down her busted lip. Her face was slightly purple, bruised from the impact with the hard, icy ground.

"I will pay back the humiliation ten times more painful, you vermin!" Azula primsed Norrak as she clenched her fist. Norrak turned to her, and he chuckled at the bruised face.

"Maybe in your next life~,"

A little humiliation never hurt anyone, plus, this will give Azula more of a reason to keep going back to Norrak so she can regain her 'Honour' due to losing in such a way.
