Chapter 9 - Graduation.

The next day, after receiving the Rank Cards, Daisuke handed Yagami a letter.

Daisuke: "Yagami, you've been selected for early graduation. You'll need your parents' permission and must pass a test to graduate early."

Yagami: "Yes, Sensei."

After class, Itachi approached Yagami.

Itachi: "Yagami, are you really going to graduate early?"

Yagami: "I'm not sure yet. I think I'll ask Elder Tanaka and my mom first."

Itachi: "You should do it, Yagami. You're one of the clan's greatest assets."

Yagami: "Maybe. I'll talk to my mom about it first."

Itachi: "I'm sure Aunt Isami will be proud."

Later, after school, Yagami and Itachi headed toward the Uchiha Clan compound on the outskirts of the village. On their way, they saw Shisui returning from a mission.

Itachi: "Shisui! How did the mission go?"

Yagami: "Niisan, are you okay? You look exhausted."

Shisui: "The mission was successful. We managed to make the missing-nin from Iwa retreat, but... I lost a comrade."

Yagami noticed the bloodstains near Shisui's collar and the pain in his eyes.

Yagami (thinking): "That explains the blood and the stress in his voice. Did he awaken?, but it was two tomoe when I checked last time."

Itachi: "Shisui, did you hear? Yagami has been offered early graduation!"

Shisui: "That explains the increased mission demands. Yagami, this is a good opportunity. You should take it."

Yagami frowned.

Yagami: "Shisui, you're always talking about the village. Do you even notice what's happening to our clan?"

Shisui: "What are you talking about?"

Yagami: "The Uchiha clan is drowning in debt. The police force's funding has been cut to half, and yet, there's no shortage of missions. The wars are over, and Konoha dominates all the trade routes thanks to its negotiations. But not a single coin is allocated to help the Uchiha. Why?"

Shisui seemed taken aback.

Itachi: "The upper echelons are corrupt. That's the truth."

Before Itachi could say more, Shisui slapped him.

Shisui: "Don't you dare speak like that! The Hokage and the council members were once my grandfather Kagami's comrades. Insulting them is like insulting him."

Yagami helped Itachi to his feet, unfazed by Shisui's outburst.

Yagami: "Niisan, you're so loyal to the village that you can't see the bigger picture. Do you think ignoring the clan's problems will make them disappear?"

Shisui's Sharingan activated, his glare intense.

Yagami saw the three tomoe spinning rapidly, and confirmed, Shisui might have awaken the Mangekyō.

Shisui: "Are you accusing the Hokage of corruption?"

Yagami: "Not directly, but the people under him? Yes, without a doubt. They fear the Uchiha because of our strength. In peaceful times, people prioritize money and connections over power. If we don't act, our clan will be left behind."

Shisui's frustration reached its peak. His Mangekyō Sharingan revealed itself.

Yagami, considering Shisui's health, he precisely knocked Shisui. Shisui was really tired, if left unchecked, he would have slept in the road.

Itachi: "Was that... the Mangekyō Sharingan?"

Yagami: "Yes. Shisui awakened it. But listen, Itachi. You must keep this a secret. Don't tell a single soul about it."

Itachi: "Why? Shouldn't the clan know? This is an incredible power!"

Yagami: "No. The Anbu are watching us constantly. If they find out about Shisui's Mangekyō, the elders might come for his eyes, fearing another Madara. We need to protect him. We'll guide him slowly, step by step. For now, keep this to yourself."

Itachi nodded, though he still looked conflicted.

Yagami carried Shisui home and helped him rest. He slipped a homemade medicine into Shisui's mouth—something he had created himself after studying the herbs of the Shinobi world. It was made from chakra-infused leaves filled with yin energy, designed to heal the strain caused by using the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Yagami was also secretly adding this medicine to his mother Isami's meals. She possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan too, though Yagami wasn't sure if she was using it or not.

Later, Izumi entered the room.

Izumi: "Yagami, how did you get permission for early graduation?"

Yagami: "Get the fishing rod ready. Let's head to the Nakano River."

Izumi: "Okay, understood."

She knew her brother well enough to know he'd give her answers when they got there.

At the Nakano River, Yagami caught some fish while explaining the current situation to Izumi. Later,

He prepared a dish called Namerou for dinner

Isami returned home late, while Elder Tanaka arrived, drawn by the aroma of a delicious meal.

Yagami: "Niisan, wake up. It's time for dinner."

Shisui woke up, stretched, and suddenly remembered what had happened earlier.

Shisui: "Hey, Yagami! You knocked me out of nowhere!"

Yagami activated his fully matured Sharingan, which radiated such purity and power that even Shisui felt a shiver run down his spine.

Yagami: "We have a lot to talk about. But first, come eat."

Shisui, sensing Yagami's serious tone, came downstairs to join the family for dinner.

Isami: "Yagami, your cooking is the best. Even Kaito couldn't cook this well."

Tanaka: "Yagami definitely inherited his grandmother's cooking talent."

Yagami: "Alright, enough of the praise. I have some news to share."

Before Yagami could continue, Izumi chimed in.

Izumi: "Yagami got permission from the Hokage for early graduation."

Both Tanaka and Isami looked surprised.

Isami: "What?"

Yagami: "Yeah. The teachers said I could graduate early if you approve."

Isami: "Do you really think the Academy has nothing left to teach you, dear?"

Yagami: "Mom, I want real-world experience. If I can become a Jōnin quickly, it'll benefit both the village and the clan."

Tanaka: "Even Kakashi, the son of the White Fang, took two months to graduate. It's no surprise you'd be this capable."

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

Tanaka: "Ah, Fugaku, come in! Let's eat together."

Fugaku: "Thank you, but I'm heading out for the night patrol sensei. I already ate at the Uchiha evening school. I heard from Itachi that Yagami got permission for early graduation."

Yagami: "That's true, Captain."

Fugaku: "If you graduate now, the Uchiha clan will be known for producing a prodigy who graduated even earlier than the White Fang's son."

Yagami: "That's why I'm asking for Mom's permission, Captain."

Fugaku: "What do you think, Isami?"

Isami: "My son is strong, and he gave me his promise. I won't hold him back. If he wants to graduate, then he should."

Fugaku: "Ha! Nice. You are the pride of the Uchiha clan, Yagami. Keep that in mind—and teach Itachi whenever you have time."

Yagami: "Sure, Captain."

Fugaku nodded to his sensei, Tanaka, and left.

 In Shisui's Room

Yagami: "You've awakened the Mangekyō, Niisan. Are you aware of it?"

Shisui: "Mangekyō? Me?"

Yagami: "So, you don't know yet."

Yagami helped Shisui by instructing to give more chakra to his eyes and stressing it to activate his Mangekyō Sharingan.

Yagami: "Promise me—you'll never tell a soul about your Mangekyō Sharingan. Only Itachi knows, and on my orders, he won't tell anyone."

Shisui: "Why?"

Yagami: "Niisan, the Hokage is a great man, but the people surrounding him are driven by greed. Such individuals scheme against powerful people. You know our history well—strong figures in Konoha have always disappeared: Lord Sakumo, Lord Minato, Lady Tsunade, Jiraiya, Grandpa Kagami. All of them were threats to the Hokage's position in Konoha's political landscape."

Shisui: "But they didn't betray Grandpa Kagami or Lord fourth."

Yagami: "The political power in Konoha must remain balanced. First when Lord fourth become Hokage, no one in the old clan liked it and caused him lot of trouble, even the disciples of the 3rd didn't like the system and distanced themselves from the village, now The Uchiha clan is said to have the strongest Kekkei Genkai, still seen a threat from the days of first Hokage With such potential, the Uchiha clan will inevitably be targeted."

Yagami's words shook Shisui to his core. It felt similar to Obito revealing harsh truths to Sasuke, though on a smaller scale.

With lot of arguments and conversations which held till morning 2 am,

By the end of the conversation, Shisui promised never to reveal the existence of his Mangekyō Sharingan, not even to the Hokage.

Later, Yagami signed the necessary graduation documents and submitted them to Daisuke.
