He takes a small piece of paper and write quickly:
"I'm sorry. Can't do this anymore. Not everything is meant to be fixed. Live a good life. Be happy if you can. Goodbye".
While dragging his suitcase out the door, he remembers to stick the little red envelope on the door, so it wouldn't be missed. Then, he takes one last look at the house, locks the door and goes to his car.
After one hour of driving and signing as loud as he can, with his favourite singer, he arrives at his destination.
Taking a deep breath, he grabs the suitcase and goes to his new apartment. This would be his new home for now.
New….home…
Come on, you can do it! -he says to himself , as he closes the door behind.
It took him a few months to prepare the apartment, and now it feels so good to be in it. He puts the suitcase on the large bed in his new bedroom, takes out what he needs and goes to get a shower before doing anything else.
After the shower and getting dressed in comfortable clothes, it's time to order some food and relax. It's been a long and emotional day, that he was waiting for a long time.
In the morning, the new chapter in his life, will really start.
With a smile on his face, after eating in silence and cleaning the kitchen, he goes to bed and falls asleep in seconds.
He woke up to the smell of coffee in the air, and for a second didn't remember where he was….
"Oh…you're here.." he said with surprise in his voice. "What are you up to?"
The young woman with the cup of coffe in her hands, smiled and said: " you invited me to come as I please…didn't you?
Get up and come to eat with me. You have to tell me everything!"
"Ok", replied Rain, and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth. While staring at himself in the mirror, he took a deep breath and smiled with satisfaction. "I really love you today! Finally you did it. This mess is finally behind you"
"Well….? Sit down, tell me how you feel? I love your new place, by the way…. Did get some sleep? Or did you spend the first night staring at the ceiling?"
"Haha… please let me answer one question, before you shower me with more questions. I had a very good night sleep. This modern and quiet apartment is great. And… I waited for this for a long time. I'm very excited but also very sure of myself. So, I'm cool."
"Soooo….Do you think he'll come to find you?" Babe asked in a low and teasing voice
"Well, I don't really care. I'm done. I want to live with a free mind. Even if I will never get to love again, I can't continue to live with someone I don't love anymore". Rain answered in confidence.
"Well bro, I'm cheering for you! And now, I have to get going. My store will not open itself". Said Babe while coming to kiss her brother on his forehead, then waving and rashing out the door.
"That girl…" rain smiles to himself and continues to eat the breakfast Babe made for him.
