Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: The Dondon Bird Eggs

In the vast void between the Sixth and Seventh Universes, a prism-shaped transit cube streaked through the emptiness at blinding speed.

"Lord Champa, we're about to enter the Seventh Universe," Vados reported calmly, her scepter shimmering faintly.

"Keep accelerating! I want to see what that bag of bones has been up to!"

"As you wish."

The cube surged forward even faster, breaking through the boundaries of the void.

Soon, the Seventh Universe came into view—a vast cosmic ocean veiled by a transparent barrier. Once through, they would cross into Beerus's domain.

Whoooosh!

The cube pierced the barrier and slipped inside. Immediately, Champa's sharp feline eyes darted across the void.

In his mind, there was only one way a universe's Human Development Index could rise so quickly—by destroying all the lower civilizations.

Only the middle- and higher-tier planets would remain, creating an illusion of progress… at the cost of the universe's foundation.

So he thought Beerus must have done exactly that.

But when Champa looked closer

"What?! That's impossible!"

His pupils shrank. Not a single low-level civilization had been destroyed.

"Lord Champa, those unqualified planets… they've vanished!" Vados exclaimed, equally astonished.

She had visited the Seventh Universe before. Back then, it was cluttered with countless unqualified worlds—chaotic, unstable, imperfect. Yet now, it looked refined, its balance precise.

"Most likely, Lord Beerus himself took action," Vados said, suppressing her surprise and offering a calm deduction.

"Hmph!"

Champa let out a long sigh of relief.

So that skeleton of a brother hadn't gone insane after all. For a moment, he'd worried Beerus would destroy the very foundation of his own universe.

But still

"That damn bag of bones!" Champa growled, his tail swishing furiously. "Why's he suddenly working so hard?! If he keeps this up, my Sixth Universe might actually fall behind him!"

The irony was almost comical—two brothers, each too proud to admit they cared, yet each terrified of being outdone by the other.

Vados, exasperated, could only smile faintly. Still, deep down, she was impressed.

The Seventh Universe had merely removed its unqualified worlds—and its index had skyrocketed. That spoke volumes about its dormant potential.

"The fact that we're here," Champa said with a smirk, "means we might as well see this so-called prodigy of his—this disciple even Kusu spoke so highly of!"

He patted a capsule container at his side and chuckled. "And I brought along some Dondon Bird Eggs! Let's see if that stick-figure brother of mine can resist the finest cuisine in the Sixth Universe!"

"Ha! That bumpkin's never tasted anything like this!"

Laughing heartily, Champa commanded the cube forward once more, faster than before—its trail of rainbow light streaking through the void toward the Seventh Universe's divine realm.

Seventh Universe – Realm of the Kaioshin

Beerus and Whis both lifted their heads at the same time.

Their sudden tension didn't go unnoticed.

"Lord Beerus," the Old Kai asked nervously, "has something happened?"

"That guy's coming," Beerus muttered darkly.

"Who?"

The Old Kai froze for half a second—until realization struck. His expression changed dramatically. "You… you mean Lord Champa?!"

The only one Beerus would call "that fat pig" could be none other than his twin brother—Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6.

"W-What?!" Shin stammered. "The God of Destruction from Universe 6 is coming here?!"

Having been trained under the Old Kai for a month, Shin had learned quite a lot about the multiverse—and the name "Champa" was one he'd hoped never to meet in person.

"Could it be," Shin said anxiously, "that he's noticed our universe's sudden rise in ranking… and came to cause trouble?"

Beerus snorted. "If it were any of the other Destroyers, maybe I'd worry. But that pig? Not a chance."

Shin blinked in confusion.

The Old Kai patted his shoulder, sighing. "Champa is Lord Beerus's brother. You'll see soon enough—there's nothing to fear."

"Huh?!" Shin's eyes went wide.

Beerus and Champa—brothers? That explained so much... and yet somehow, not enough.

"Whis," Beerus said coldly, his eyes flicking toward the lakeside, "make sure he doesn't disturb Gran."

The young man still lay on the reclining chair, sound asleep—the exhaustion of years of training now washed away.

"Of course," Whis replied with a gentle nod. "This rest is crucial for him. It's not just recovery—it's preparation. To understand that training isn't about endless struggle… but balance."

As they spoke..

BOOOOM!

A massive wave of pressure crashed over the entire Realm of the Kais.

"He's here."

A blinding seven-colored light descended from the sky. The moment it struck the ground, Whis flicked his wrist, enveloping Gran in a glowing protective barrier.

Whummm!

The air itself warped. Champa's oppressive aura tore through the atmosphere like a storm.

Even with Beerus standing in front to block it, the Old Kai, Shin, and Kibito could barely remain upright.

"S-So terrifying…" Shin gasped.

Through the distortion, he could see a figure emerge—almost identical to Beerus, but shorter, rounder… and unmistakably fatter.

One was all skin and bone. The other, a chubby, purple blur of energy.

The sight of them side by side was almost absurd.

"Beerus! Long time no see!" Champa called, striding forward with smug satisfaction.

Beerus glanced back at Gran—still resting peacefully—then turned to face his brother, arms crossed. "It has been a while. But don't you think your entrance is a little too flashy?"

"Hahaha! Sorry, sorry," Champa chuckled, though his grin said otherwise. "I just couldn't help it. The thought of seeing that jealous look on your face… it gets me too excited!"

As he laughed, the oppressive energy slowly faded away, letting the air return to normal.

The Old Kai and the others straightened their backs with visible relief.

"Greetings, Lord Champa. Miss Vados," the Old Kai said respectfully, bowing deeply.

Champa blinked, recognizing the wrinkled old man. "Wait a minute… You were sealed away, weren't you?!"

Vados gave a polite nod in return, her eyes sweeping over the scene. The Seventh Universe had changed drastically—a new candidate for God of Destruction, a surging Human Index, and now even the Old Kai unsealed.

Just what was happening here?

"…"

The Old Kai twitched. Good deeds never spread, but trouble travels fast, he thought bitterly.

"Hey, hey, hey," Beerus suddenly said, stepping closer until only a meter separated them. "You said earlier I'd be jealous? What exactly did you mean by that?"
