This kid's talent was downright terrifying!
Even Beerus himself, at the same age, hadn't reached such a level.
Which meant
This little guy's potential surpassed that of Beerus!
The moment Champa realized this, he could no longer hold himself back.
"What color of sack do you like? I've got all kinds!"
"Come with me!"
"If you stay in Universe 7 as Beerus's little candidate for God of Destruction, you might never become a true one in your whole life!"
"Come back with me to Universe 6! I'll definitely die faster than that bony cat!"
"When that happens, I'll make sure the position of God of Destruction goes to you!"
"..."
Gran had just woken up and hadn't the slightest idea what was happening—only to find Champa's round face inches away from his own, eyes blazing like a man trying to stuff him into a bag right there and then.
After hearing Champa's wild declaration, Vados quietly covered her face.
This guy was so embarrassing…
But before she could sigh further
"If you're still not tempted," Champa added slyly, "you know who my attendant angel is, right?"
"She's Vados! Look at her—beautiful, graceful. If you come back to Universe 6 with me, she'll even be your personal mentor..."
Gran: "..."
Whis: "..."
Beerus: "..."
Old Kai and the others: "..."
For a moment, Vados just stood there, stunned.
Then, she snapped.
BOOM!
An angelic-level power erupted from her in an instant.
Heaven and earth lost their color
The entire universe trembled!
The Sacred World of the Kai, along with the surrounding space, shattered into primal particles under her unleashed power.
Seeing this, Whis's expression turned pitch-black.
Oh, great. His dear sister was definitely doing this on purpose.
He quickly raised his staff, shielding everyone, then reversed time. The Sacred World of the Kai reformed as though nothing had happened.
"How dare you tease even me, Champa—you're courting death!!"
Vados's expression was magnificent—equal parts fury and elegance.
She was so angry she didn't even bother calling him "Lord Champa" anymore, just Champa!
Just as she was about to strike
WHAM!
A purple blur cut through the void.
With a flying kick worthy of an Ultraman special, Beerus slammed into Champa.
Thud!
"AAAAHHHH!!!"
Champa was sent flying across the plains, tumbling and sliding for tens of thousands of kilometers before finally coming to a stop.
"Stupid fat pig! You even dared to hit on my people? You looking for a beating?!" Beerus snarled, appearing beside him in an instant.
He could understand Champa drooling over Gran's potential—who wouldn't?
But seriously… hitting on Vados too?! Was his brother insane?!
After all, Whis had once mentioned…
That his sister Vados was just a bit stronger than him.
Thinking that, Beerus turned his head to glance at her
And instantly froze.
"Oh, you're done for, Champa. This time, even I won't recognize what's left of you!"
Vados blurred. Space and time meant nothing to her—she was suddenly right beside Champa, crossing the distance of worlds in a blink.
Beerus's pupils shrank. What terrifying speed!
Seeing she was about to strike
"Miss Vados, please calm down! I'm already beating him for you—let's not get too worked up!" Beerus said quickly, throwing another kick into Champa's gut mid-sentence.
Sorry, brother. Nothing personal—your mouth brought this upon yourself!
Beerus unleashed his destructive power.
BOOM!
The sheer force shook the entire void, shattering the freshly restored space all over again.
"AAAAHHHHHHH!!"
Realizing how badly he'd messed up, Champa covered his head and curled up on the ground, wailing but not daring to fight back.
"Hmph! Such brotherly love."
Vados glared at Beerus, though she didn't strike again.
Beerus sighed in relief, glancing down at his crumpled brother.
Better to be beaten by me than by her, he thought. You owe me one for saving your hide, brother.
"A God of Destruction, reduced to spouting nonsense and getting kicked into the dirt. Have you no shame?"
Vados snapped coldly, "Well? Get up!"
"Y-yes, yes!!"
Champa shrank his stubby neck and scrambled up from the ground, hastily flying back toward Gran.
Vados and Beerus followed after him.
Back on Gran's side
"Whis, were those two just now the God of Destruction and Angel from Universe 6?" Gran finally asked, now that the chaos had subsided.
"That's right," Whis said with a smile. "The lady with the high ponytail is my elder sister, Vados. The other is Lord Champa, Lord Beerus's twin brother."
"Why are they here?"
Gran tilted his head. He'd only taken a nap—had the world gone crazy while he was asleep?
"They probably heard that Lord Beerus and I had taken in a new disciple," Whis explained. "So they came over to take a look."
"Because of me?"
Gran blinked, then suddenly remembered Champa asking about "sack colors," and couldn't help bursting out laughing.
Looked like Champa was just like Beerus back then—took one look at him and wanted him as a disciple right away!
"Feels nice to be praised by another God of Destruction, doesn't it?" Whis teased.
"Hehe, maybe a little," Gran admitted, his small head held high. It'd be a lie to say he wasn't happy.
Whis ruffled his hair gently. "It's fine to feel proud—but don't get cocky. Compared to a real God of Destruction, you're still far, far behind."
"Of course!"
Gran nodded firmly. His current power hadn't even transcended the mortal level—how could he afford arrogance?
"By the way, Whis," Gran said after a pause, "that power Miss Vados just released… that was angel-level, right?"
He took a deep breath, recalling the way the Sacred World of the Kai had shattered just moments ago.
Even the Old Kai and the others trembled slightly at the memory.
Whis chuckled. "What's wrong? Did my sister's power scare you?"
"M-maybe just a little," Gran admitted.
"Ohoho~ Then let me tell you something—what she used just now was only a fraction of her strength."
"..."
Just a fraction? Then how strong was her true power?!
Gran swallowed hard, his tiny Adam's apple bobbing. "Whis, can I ask you something?"
"Go ahead."
"Who's stronger—you or Miss Vados?"
At once, the Old Kai and his companions perked up their ears.
Honestly, only this kid would dare ask such a thing so directly.
Whis fell silent for a moment, giving Gran a helpless look.
"You really are something else, kid. If someone asked you about your power, would you just tell them?"
"Uh…"
Gran scratched his head awkwardly. Fair point. He wouldn't exactly announce his full strength either.
But still—his curiosity burned. After all, in the manga, Vados had told Son Goku that she was a bit stronger than Whis.
"Well, I suppose it's fine to tell you," Whis finally said, gazing off into the distance. "Even Lord Beerus knows the gap between my sister and me."
The Old Kai and the others instinctively shuffled closer to Whis.
Gran went even further—he floated up until he was eye-level with the angel, staring at him expectantly.
"What are you doing?" Whis asked, slightly amused.
"Listening to your story!" Gran said in his clear, childlike voice. "Since even Lord Beerus knows, that means it's not a secret, right? So… tell us!"
