Chapter 59 - Chapter 58: Does He Look Like Your Dad?

After more than ten days of filming, the movie Naruto — Clash of the Child of Destiny was already more than halfway done.

Only Naruto and Hinata's scenes were left to shoot.

The only ones personally taking part in the filming were Kakashi and Konohamaru.

When Konohamaru learned that a movie about Pain's invasion of Konoha was being filmed, his excitement was off the charts.

He accepted Boruto's invitation without hesitation.

He even dragged Boruto along, bragging nonstop about how he had bravely fought Pain's Six Paths back in the day.

At one point, he got so hyped that he formed a Rasengan right in front of Boruto and asked proudly, "Impressive, huh?"

Boruto could only smile awkwardly and shake his head repeatedly.

Within the Land of Fire, at the abandoned city chosen as the main filming location, Boruto stared at the rebuilt set before him.

"This is seriously impressive… I didn't expect the layout to be completed so quickly," he said.

Denki, standing beside him, nodded.

"My dad heard that you wanted to recreate the battle between Lord Hokage and Pain. So he personally gave me a huge budget to help with the filming."

"For that, I hired dozens of ninja to remodel the place carefully," Denki added proudly.

Boruto looked around and nodded.

"Actually, it doesn't need to be this precise. As long as iconic spots like the Hokage Building and the Hokage Rock are there, the rest can just be a rough outline. They'll be rubble soon anyway."

"Ah? You're going to destroy it too?" Denki asked in surprise. "Can't that be done with special effects?"

Boruto shook his head. "Special effects always have flaws. Only real footage can capture perfection."

Denki frowned. "To level an entire Konoha Village replica with Ninjutsu… I think only your dad, the Seventh Hokage, could do that."

Boruto grinned. "True. But this village is just one-tenth the size of the original. I can handle it."

"What?! Boruto, seriously?" Denki's eyes widened. He knew Boruto was strong—but not this strong.

Boruto smirked to himself. "My Chakra isn't enough for a full-scale Shinra Tensei… but with my Tenseigan, I can just barely pull it off for this small version."

"Then I'm watching this!" Denki said excitedly.

"Sure," Boruto replied. "But you'll want to stand very far back."

A short while later, Denki and Krab stood on a distant mountain, binoculars in hand, ready to witness the scene.

Down below, Boruto floated in mid-air, transformed into Pain.

His eyes gleamed with a deep purple glow as he spread his arms wide, embracing the sky itself.

The air around him trembled.

"Shinra Tensei!"

Boruto roared. His Chakra flared violently as his Tenseigan's power surged to its absolute limit.

A powerful repulsive force burst out from his body, engulfing everything in darkness—the repulsion was so strong it even warped the light around him.

The force exploded outward, tearing through the air and shaking the entire abandoned city.

Through the binoculars, Denki watched with awe as the shockwave expanded.

Buildings shattered like paper. The ground cracked open. Rubble and dust filled the air.

It looked like the end of the world.

"Unbelievable…" Denki whispered. "Even my dad's war stories weren't this intense."

He swallowed hard. "This is only one-tenth of Konoha's size… How terrifying must Pain have been back then? If Lord Seventh hadn't been there—"

When the dust finally settled, the entire city lay in ruins—a perfect recreation of the Pain invasion.

A massive crater swallowed what had once been the village.

Boruto floated down slowly, his form flickering as he returned to normal. His face was pale, his breathing shallow.

"This is the first time I've used this much Chakra and Tenseigan power…" he muttered. "I'm almost drained. But still—mission accomplished."

Night fell. Inside the real Hokage Building in Konoha, "Minato Namikaze" (Boruto in disguise) walked in with a bento box.

"Forever Sister?"

Several staff members blinked in surprise as they saw him.

"Oh, it's Young Master Boruto! Didn't you usually transform into Pain when you delivered Hokage-sama's lunch? Why the Fourth Hokage today?"

Boruto ignored their gossip and walked straight toward Naruto's office.

In the hallway, Shikamaru stepped out of the office, spotting him immediately.

"Boruto?" Shikamaru smirked. "What, no Pain today? You're going as your grandpa now?"

Boruto grinned. "Yeah, I figured it's time for a change. What should I try next? Maybe… Uchiha Madara?"

Shikamaru snorted. "If you do that, Naruto probably won't have the appetite for his lunch."

Boruto pushed open the door and walked in.

Naruto looked up from his desk—only to see his own father standing there holding a bento box.

"...Father—wait, Boruto? What kind of joke is this?"

"Dad," Boruto said with a mischievous grin, "do I look like your dad?"

"Boruto, stop fooling around and change back already."

Naruto sighed. He had finally gotten used to his son showing up as Pain to deliver lunch, and now the kid had turned into Minato.

The situation was so ridiculous he didn't even know whether to laugh or cry.

Boruto smirked and reverted to normal, setting the bento on the desk.

"Dad, are you really only letting your Shadow Clone act in the movie? I already asked Mom—she said she wants to join too."

"Hinata wants to be in the movie?" Naruto blinked, suddenly remembering that painful day—when Hinata had rushed toward Pain to protect him, despite the danger.

He fell silent, the memory flooding back.
