Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: The Secret Birthday Plan

(Jayjay's POV)

After what Ciel told us, her words stayed in my head the whole day.

I could see the way she tried to hide the pain — and I hated that helpless feeling sitting in my chest.

So, by the next day, Kiefer and I had already decided — we weren't going to let Adrian spend his birthday in silence.

We had to do something.

we gathered the Section E boys behind the school garden — our unofficial "meeting spot."

Everyone sat or leaned around the benches, snacks in hand, eyes filled with curiosity.

Felix was the first to speak, stretching lazily. "So, why the sudden meeting? You two look like you're planning a heist."

Kiefer smirked. "Close enough. We're planning a party."

The boys all blinked in confusion.

"A party?" Calix repeated. "For who?"

"For Adrian," I said, folding my arms with a determined grin. "Sunday's his birthday."

That got everyone's attention.

"Wait, ciel said he hate his birthday?" Ci-N asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah," Kiefer said, scratching the back of his neck. "But that's exactly why we're doing it. He's always quiet about it, and this time we'll remind him he's not alone."

A murmur of agreement went around the group. Even David — who was half-wake under a tree — lifted his head.

"So… where?" he mumbled.

"At his house," I said simply.

That got an instant reaction.

"At his house?" Yuri repeated, wide-eyed. "You sure about that? He might kick us out before we even say surprise!"

I just smiled. "Leave that to me."

Kiefer crossed his arms, eyeing me. "Okay, meddler , but how do we even make it a surprise if he's home all day?"

I leaned closer with a smirk. "Like I said… leave that part to me."

The boys looked at each other, half-nervous, half-excited.

"Alright, alright," David said, trying to sound calm. "We'll trust Jayjay's 'master plan.' But who's gonna tell Ciel about this? She's his sister — she should know, right?"

Silence.

Every single pair of eyes slowly turned toward Yuri.

His jaw dropped. "W–wait, why are you all looking at me?!"

Kiefer grinned. "You're the closest one to her lately, aren't you?"

Yuri's ears turned red instantly. "Wha—?! No, no, no! Don't start rumors, bro! ci-n is more close than I am "

The boys burst out laughing.

"Then it's settled," I said, patting Yuri's shoulder. "You'll tell her."

He sighed dramatically. "Fine. But if she throws her shoe at me, I'm blaming all of you."

As the laughter died down,

Everyone started to pack up and head home, still chatting about what food and decorations to bring.

Kiefer, as usual, drove me home — his hands on mine , that easy smile on his face.

When we reached my gate, he leaned closer. "So, Sunday's gonna be fun, huh?"

"Yeah," I said, smiling. "I just hope Adrian smiles for once."

He chuckled softly, then tapped my forehead. "He will — because you're the one planning it."

I looked up at him, feeling that little warmth rise in my chest.

"See you Sunday , Jayjay," he said — and before I could reply, he gave me a quick goodbye kisses on the cheek, just like he always did.

And as he walked away, I couldn't help but whisper to myself,

"This Sunday… we'll make him smile no matter what."
