Just as Liana was about to turn and step away, David suddenly grabbed Liana waist. They both stared at each other at a very close distance.
"Liana, please don't do this," David pleaded.
"Let go of me, Sir. What if someone comes and sees us?" Liana said, trying to push David hands off her waist.
"I know you're doing this because of what I said last night. I apologize if it bothered you," David interjected.
"I already told you it's not because of that," Liana denied.
"You're lying," David insisted.
"No," Liana replied.
"Liar, if it's not because of that, then why?" David said, his eyes slightly red as if he was about to cry.
"It's because... I told you I want to help my parents business," Liana lied, when in fact, she wanted to escape David life.
"Fine, I will make sure you change your mind yourself and don't end up resigning from this office," David said, rubbing his slightly teary eyes.
"Sir... Are you crying?" Liana asked.
