Upon seeing the message, Ryoken sighed in relief. It was good to know he wouldn't be dying anytime soon.
On the other side Zarc stood absentmindedly, deep in thought. His body was shining faintly as it was slowly disappearing and getting hollower.
"Thanks for the duel, I really haven't had this much fun in a long time." Zarc told him while smiling faintly, no hint of sadness as he was disappearing.
"I... I enjoyed it too. Guess we'll continue our duel when I challenge another counterpart of yours."
Zarc's smile turned into a sad smile "That probably wouldn't be the case. I'm just a fragment of the Supreme King, not him as a whole. Even if you face another counterpart they wouldn't have a memory of this duel."
"Is that so..." Ryoken muttered, feeling a bit sad and regretful of losing a strong rival and foe. It was a weird feeling to describe.
"Ah right before I go have this." Zarc gave him the deck he was previously using "Think of it as a token of gratitude."
"Thank you. I'll treasure it."
"I know you will. By the way can I make a request? If you duel against the real me, please show him the true joy of dueling. Make him remember what he lost on his journey to gain the absolute power."
"I will." Ryoken promised. He was planning to save all counterparts of Zarc anyway, so promising this wasn't something difficult.
Zarc's body began to turn into particles and disappear. First his feet disappeared and from then it continued.
As it was reaching his upper body, He held his fist out in front of Ryoken, in which he understood the meaning and fistbumped him just before his hand also disappeared.

"Question, now that Zarc's control over Yuri is removed, what happens?"

"Eh? Doesn't that mean what I did was basically useless? what's the use of it if another person is going to be Zarc's victim."
[Since Yuri no longer counts as Zarc's counterpart, one fourth of Zarc's soul and power is without any host.]
Ryoken racked his brain reading systems message, understanding what the system was implying.
"One of the rewards that is optional is the power of supreme king. If I were to absorb it, I would fill the gap that is left, right?"
[Answer, Host is correct. But it is not advised to do so. Although it's a portion of Supreme King Zarc's power, it is still different from the power gained by duel monsters. The power is simply too much for a human body to contain.]
What the system said was indeed true, whenever Yuya or other incarnations of Zarc used his power, even if it was unconsciously, they would lose their control and their mind.
An example was when Yuto and Yuya as one defeated Serena and Ruri with Odd-eyes raging dragon. They simply just wanted destruction, to defeat and crush their opponent, even if they were someone they cared about.
"Still if I do it I get the ability to card print. Worst case scenario Medea, Magik or Furious Dragon will snap me out of it."
Taking a deep breath, he tapped on the reward icon beside the second reward, to claim it and absorb Zarc's power.
[Beginning the process of absorbing The Supreme King's power.]

He could feel a faint energy entering his body, slowly curing any injury he sustained during the duel.

"It isn't as bad as I thought it would be..." Ryoken muttered, before realising he might have jinxed himself.
Time passed as the energy continued to pour into his body. by the time he absorbed a quarter of the power, he felt that he was in his best condition.
That's when it started to go downhill. As the progress bar went up and he absorbed more power, he started to feel as if his body was breaking down.
From every bone in his body to every muscle, he could feel the raw power that they were gaining. It wasn't only physical strain.
The mental strain began when the progress bar reached 60 percent, he could here voices, screams of people in agony and pain whilst they dueled Zarc.
Memory fragments were pouring into his mind, showing small parts of Zarc's life to him from different timelines.
He felt as if he was losing himself. Was he still Ryoken or had he now become a new person? a person with memories of two different people.
Just as he was about to lose his mind he felt a pair of arms embracing him in a hug, absorbing all the excessive power that he couldn't contain.
"Ryo snap out of it!" He heard Medea's voice, snapping him from the mental breakdown he was suffering.

[Skill Card Printing has been gained.]
As the process was done, all the power he absorbed disappeared instantly, as if it didn't exist in the first place, making Ryoken fall to his knees whilst still being in Medea's embrace and breath heavily.
"Haa... Haa.. Thanks Medea." He Muttered as he took a few another deep breahs to calm himself down.
Medea gently rubbed his back with one hand, another going through his hair and caressing it "I'm sorry I couldn't help you sooner."
"It's alright." Ryoken muttered as he closed his eyes and enjoyed the treatment he got.
Now that he calmed down, he noticed the changes Medea had went through, looking exactly like the card version of her that he played against Zarc.
'Holy Growth.' He thought to himself as he realised the position he was in, with his face being buried between Medea's breasts, which now had grown bigger thanks to her evolution.
'Kaiba was right, women really do distract man from dueling.' He thought whilst chuckling, which confused Medea.
"Something happened Ryo?"
"Nah everything is fine, Just remembered something funny." He said whilst his voice was muffled.
"I see. Next time you plan to go to duel someone like that guy, please inform me and others so we can help you. Alright?"
But she didn't get any response, making her look down only to see Ryoken passed out and fallen asleep.
She smiled gently and sat on the ground, whilst putting Ryoken's head on her thighs, using them as a pillow.
"Sleep well Ryo, you earned it."
