Alicia swallowed hard. Those were duelists capable of using their own magic to keep their Spirits materialized without relying on a Duel Disk!
Compared to her current level, just a Magician… they were three entire ranks above!
If ten such powerful duelists had to die just to gather enough magic to form that little guy's body, then was it because that little one was too powerful… or did it simply take that much magic to give a Spirit physical form?
Sensing Alicia's curious gaze, Chorozo opened its big black eyes and looked at her. "Little girl, don't think I'm some ordinary Duel Spirit. I'm really strong, you know."
"Heh, that's true," Aleister said with a chuckle, patting Chorozo's small head. "Alicia, don't think that just because Chorozo is a Level 4 Fusion Monster, it's weak. Sometimes, a Spirit's strength doesn't necessarily correlate with its Level.
"Although most duelists judge a Spirit's power by its Level, there are cases where low-Level Spirits can rival or even surpass high-Level ones. Of course, those are exceptions… most of the time, higher-Level Spirits are indeed stronger."
"Mm." Alicia nodded slightly, saying nothing more.
Seeing her quiet expression, Aleister continued, "Alright, Alicia, do you have any other questions? If not, let's talk about your reward."
"Reward!?"
Alicia stared with her eyes widened, suddenly remembering why she'd been brought here—to receive her reward for passing the entrance examination and for reporting the discovery of the Three Sacred Beasts earlier.
Why did it feel like something that happened only recently now seemed so long ago?
She tilted her head, lost in thought.
Meanwhile, Aleister raised his staff once more—the one with the diamond-shaped gem at the top—and tapped it in the air several times, as though inputting a password into the void.
Moments later, a black-covered spellbook, its surface adorned with golden cross-shaped runes and a blue-violet gem set in the center, materialized in his hand.
The sight left Alicia stunned. Yuui, on the other hand, muttered inwardly, 'You mages really like to show off.' Still, he immediately recognized the book.

This was proof of Aleister's identity as a Magician and user of Invocation. It was a grimoire he had modified from the Holy Codex to become uniquely his own.
Aleister opened the book and murmured as he flipped through it, "Hmm… this should be about right."
He then ran a finger across a page, and in that instant, streams of light burst forth, transforming into hundreds of card projections scrolling rapidly before Alicia's eyes. As she read their descriptions, her eyes widened in amazement.
Aleister's amused voice reached her ears. "Hehe, as your reward for passing the entrance test, and for reporting the Three Sacred Beasts, preventing greater disaster, I'll allow you to select five cards from the Academy's collection. Of course, the rewards aren't limited to cards. Later, the Academy will also…"
Alicia didn't hear the rest. Her eyes were glued to the endless stream of rare cards flashing before her.
