Chapter 1 - The Girl with Planets in Her Hair

There once lived a girl,

Born of a galaxy beyond the swirl.

Her hair was woven from planets and flame,

And none on Earth could speak her name.

She wept one day upon a hill,

Her tears like stars, quiet and still.

A young elf came, his voice unsure—

"What's wrong?" he asked. "What hurts you, girl?"

She turned her face, her voice a sigh:

"I've lost my home—don't ask me why.

I was born from the sky's hidden core,

But now I don't know the way anymore."

"I used to be happy, far from the crowd,

When my hair drew no gazes, silent and proud.

But I grew tired of walls and the same old skies,

So I fled through the stars without saying goodbyes."

"That's when they saw me—eyes turned cold.

They stared as if I was a tale untold.

Though I smiled, I sank deep down,

To the bottom of the sea I nearly drowned."

"When I rose gasping from the foam,

They threw stones to drive me home.

I ran and ran with all my might—

Till a whirlpool swallowed all my light."

"I tried to fight it, to break free,

But my gleaming stars abandoned me.

Now nothing's clear, the sky is black,

And I can't remember the way back."

"Once, big and small, my stars would shine,

Lighting the path that once was mine.

But now my time is wearing thin—

And I'm fading fast in this world I'm in."

"Come," said the elf, "we'll find your stars.

Let's not waste what little hours are ours."

They walked...

And walked...

Beneath the sky that softly cried,

They wandered toward the ocean tide.

They found the stars one by one,

And placed them in her hair, like suns.

And when the last was home again,

Her strands began to glow—like then.

But love had bloomed inside her chest.

"I don't want to go," she said, "not just yet.

Even if my time here is brief and few,

I'd rather spend it here—with you."

The elf shook his head, his eyes sincere:

"You must go, though I hold you dear.

Even if it takes a lifetime long,

Promise you'll return where you belong."

She plucked a star from her fading hair,

Held it up to the sky with a prayer:

"Mother," she whispered, "if you still care,

Help me come home through this star I bear."

A storm broke loose, wild and wide,

The star began to spin and glide.

Where it fell, the earth gave way—

And there a shining path did lay.

Her hair grew dim; the time had come.

They stood where the Starlight Road begun.

She turned, eyes bright with unshed tears,

And vanished into the skies of years.

The sky was ready to hold her close,

Its long-lost daughter it loved the most.

And through the shimmer of weeping light,

She slipped back into endless night.

The elf...

Waited...

A lifetime passed—he never moved.

But—

The girl with planets in her hair never returned,

And the elf never ceased to yearn.

The sky had sealed her in its chest,

And never gave her back to rest.

Till his last breath, he loved her still,

The girl he met upon the hill.

And those who cast the stones that day—

Never found peace, nor could they pray.
