Chapter 18 - Chapter 19: Douluo Version of Team Seven

.

Everything seemed to be back on track, and Tang San still acknowledged Xiao Wu as his sister, but there were some differences from the original novel.

In the original novel, before his spirit's second awakening, Tang San wasn't handsome, but he was still handsome.

Now he looked like a Song Moubao, so it was surprising that Xiao Wu could cling to him like she did in the original novel.

The two weren't as close as in the original novel.

Xiao Wu had come this time to bring Ning Chuan along for sworn brotherhood, but unsurprisingly, she was rejected.

He had no desire to socialize with Tang San, and the other party likely felt the same way.

The Yu Xiaogang incident was merely the trigger; it was more about Xiao Wu being "closer" to Ning Chuan than to Tang San. Even without Yu Xiaogang, Ning Chuan would have grown jealous of Xiao Wu, gradually becoming hostile to Ning Chuan.

Time flew by, and in a flash, five years had passed.

Ning Chuan finally graduated from Notting College.

  Barak Kingdom, Soto City.

Near noon, three people, seemingly in their teens, entered through the west gate of Soto City: two men and one woman.

The girl in the middle looked about twelve or thirteen, over five feet seventy, with fair skin, a beautiful face, and a near-perfect figure. Her most striking feature was her long legs, clad in white trousers. Any man who saw her would be tempted to play with her for six months. The

boy on her left was much taller than her, nearly five feet eighty, with a slender figure, long legs, a fair complexion, a perfect physique, and an extraordinary bearing.

In comparison, the boy to her right looked rather shabby, much shorter than the two above, standing just under five feet sixty.

His limbs were thick and short, and he was as dark as charcoal, with a slight hunchback, a true human-like black bear.

If it weren't for the hint of childishness on his face, anyone who didn't know him would mistake him for a middle-aged man in his forties.

The girl hunched her shoulders and complained weakly, "I'm so tired. Why don't I go to the Advanced Spirit Master Academy for good reason, and go to that awful academy with no rank system?"

The charcoal-black boy smiled faintly and corrected her, "It's Shrek Academy."

"Whatever academy it is, I'm tired anyway," the girl said coquettishly. The

charcoal-black boy asked expectantly, "How about I carry you?"

"No, I want Xiao Liuzi to carry you," the girl said, about to lie on the handsome boy on her left.

But the handsome boy, as if he had eyes on his side, dodged in advance.

He said expressionlessly, "If you want to carry me, let your good brother do it." He had learned the name Xiao Liuzi from the villagers of Emperor Soul Village.

"Yes, Xiao Wu, why don't you let me carry you?" The charcoal-black boy said humbly, his smile a little forced.

These three people were Xiao Wu, Ning Chuan, and Tang San, all graduates of Notting Academy.

Just like in the original novel, after graduating from Notting Academy, Tang San and Xiao Wu once again traveled to Soto City to apply for Shrek Academy.

The only slight difference was that Ning Chuan was here too.

And he'd come at Xiao Wu's invitation.

It wasn't that Ning Chuan had any feelings for Xiao Wu; his real interest lay in Ning Rongrong, the little cat, and the Eight Spider Lance.

One of them had Jian Douluo behind her, possessing the Distraction Control Technique, offering Ning Chuan guidance, while the other was a woman Ning Chuan could only lust after. Naturally, he wouldn't miss out on such a beauty. And he certainly couldn't let that jerk Dai Mubai

get away with it. Otherwise, wouldn't his life on earth be in vain?

Besides the little cat, the Eight Spider Lance couldn't be missed either.

Most importantly, he needed to find Shitlake and his gang and make them his biggest enemy. That was his top priority.

Only by harming them could Ning Chuan feel free from the burden.

Xiao Wu once again surveyed Tang San's disproportionate frame, a look of resistance on her face.

"I don't want to. Heige is too short. If you carry me, my feet will drag on the ground. That would only make it more tiring,"

she said with a pout, switching from addressing him as "Third Brother" in the original novel to "Heige Brother.

" "Uh," Tang San's face darkened, his expression filled with indescribable embarrassment.

He didn't know why. Before his spirit awakened, he had been quite normal.

But since then, his skin had darkened, and he hadn't grown much taller. With both of them at level 29 and having absorbed two hundred-year spirit rings, Xiao Wu was a full half a head taller than him. Ning Chuan was almost a head taller, and he was also sideways, with a lot of useless muscle.

As a result, Xiao Wu felt closer to Ning Chuan than to her "brother."

  It was almost frustrating.

  "Then go on your own."

Ning Chuan ignored Xiao Wu and continued walking.

But the more he acted, the more Xiao Wu persisted.

And then Tang San, too, persisted.

How could one describe the relationship between the three of them now?

Tang San licked Xiao Wu, Xiao Wu licked Ning Chuan, but Ning Chuan remained indifferent, pursuing his own pursuits. It was somewhat similar to Team 7, the early days of Naruto, when Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were part of the team.

The reason for this was the bedding Ning Chuan had given Xiao Wu, leading her to mistakenly believe that Ning Chuan was a cold-faced person with a warm heart. This filter had always held a certain view of Ning Chuan.

Furthermore, Ning Chuan's efforts to build roads and houses for the villagers in Emperor Soul Village

  further reinforced Xiao Wu's perception.

So, no matter how much Ning Chuan ignored her, Xiao Wu assumed he was cold-faced but warm-hearted, unable to express himself.

And because they were siblings, Xiao Wu gradually took Tang San's kindness for granted. After all, it was normal for a brother to be kind to his sister, just as the Titan Ape and the Azure Bull Python had been kind to her.

This led to a hilarious scene: Tang San had devoted six years to Xiao Wu, yet it wasn't worth a casually given blanket by Ning Chuan. It

was because Tang San had been teased by Ning Chuan for six years, becoming increasingly uglier.

From the moment he started to look uglier, everything was set in stone.

However, Xiao Wu's actions weren't entirely without reward. Ning Chuan wasn't truly heartless after all. For Xiao Wu, who had licked him for six years, he no longer harbored the same urgency for her spirit rings and spirit bones as he had at the beginning.

Soto City, one of the two major cities in the Barak Kingdom, was significantly larger than the small border town of Notting City.

The three of them found a small restaurant and had a simple meal.

Afterward, Tang San, Xiao Wu's older brother, naturally paid for her meal, while Ning Chuan paid for his own.

And so, with Xiao Wu's aimless guidance, Ning Chuan followed them to the Rose Hotel in the original novel. From beginning to end, he remained a spectator.
