Chapter 1 - Unnamed

Chapter 1

In a large black room, two chairs faced each other with a lit candle between them. The air was cold, and the wind howled intensely. A man with brown hair, dressed in a formal suit, sat on one of the chairs and said in a calm tone:

"Are those nightmares still haunting you?"

The other man—white-haired, dressed in long white robes, his face pale and marked with exhaustion—replied:

"Yes... They still come to me."

The brown-haired man sighed with a tone of disappointment:

"Well... I can't help you with this... unless you tell me what happened that day."

"Alright... I suppose... No problem."

"The sky was clear, the clouds white like silk, the air crisp, and the grass green. I was lying on the green grass when I heard:

'Yujin... Yujin... Wake up!'

I opened my eyes and said: 'Rin... What is it?'

'Hurry! Sunset is approaching.'

I replied in a puzzled tone: 'So what?'

'You fool! Today is my mother's birthday.' His voice was tense.

'Oh my God... I forgot to buy a gift.' My expression was a mix of shock and panic.

He urged impatiently: 'Then what are you waiting for? Let's go buy a gift for my mother!'

'Alright, let's go... But wait! Why are you coming to the market with me?'

'What... I... I want to go with you to help you choose the gift.' His voice was filled with nervousness.

'Hahahaha! Don't tell me you forgot your mother's gift too!'

'So what? Humans are called humans because they forget.'

'Fine, let's stop mocking each other and go buy the gift.'"

Fifteen minutes later, in the market of "Elisou" village, located on the borders of the "Monian" Empire, the place was crowded. The scent of bread filled the air, and the sounds of trade echoed from every corner.

Rin stepped out of a bookstore holding a cookbook and said:

"Hey Yujin! Look, I bought a cookbook. What did you get?"

"...Yujin... Yujin! Where did you go?!"

Rin began searching for him, rushing through the crowds of people and merchants, until he found Yujin staring at a book.

"Yujin! Hey! Sunset is almost here, we need to hurry!"

"Rin! Look! It's a book about farmers! How I aspire to become a farmer in the future!"

"What?! You, a farmer? Hahaha! Yujin, you don't have the talent, the genes, or the money to become a strong farmer! Not to mention, my mother forbids us from becoming farmers because she says it's a dangerous, terrifying, and bloody world!"

"Yes! That's exactly why I want to become a farmer! To gain power, money, fame, and freedom! Besides, it's not necessary to be talented or rich to become a strong farmer!"

"Ding! Ding! Ding!" The sound of the sunset bell rang.

"Ah! Oh my God! We're late!"

"Let's go! Hurry!"

He entered the nearby shop, bought a set of cooking utensils, and then we rushed off, Rin and I. I imagined my mother's reaction to the gift and the delicious food. But it seemed fate had other plans.

The sky began to turn as black as a黑洞, and the clouds gathered at the center of the sky.

"Rin! Why did you stop? Let's hurry!" He looked at Rin and found his face filled with fear and tension. Rin pointed his finger toward the sky, trembling, and said:

"Yujin! Look!"

And when he looked, it was the first slap life had given him: strange golden symbols, purple lightning, all gathering with the clouds in the middle of the sky. Before he could process what was happening, a powerful beam shot from the sky directly into the center of the village.

...Silence. Life slowed to an extreme degree.

Boooooom!

Fire spread, screams echoed, bodies, blood, flames... everything became the symphony of that day.

And in that moment, I couldn't comprehend what was happening until I saw Rin lunging toward... He pushed me away as a massive rock hurtled toward us. Rin's face was a mix of fear, sorrow, and tears filled his eyes.

Just before I hit the ground, I glanced toward the explosion and saw a man dressed in a long black suit adorned with the emblem of a headless man with six wings.

I opened my eyes to find myself in a dark room, my hands chained, sitting on an iron chair. I couldn't remember what happened after I saw that mysterious man with the emblem of the headless, six-winged figure.

"Ahhh! My head hurts so much! Wait! Where am I? And where is Rin?!"

Just then, a heavy metal door creaked open, filling the room with its noise. A person dressed in detective attire and a hat entered, sat on the chair opposite me, placed a file on the table, and said in a calm, cold tone:

"Yujin... We need to talk."
