Tonia's POV
Fury coursed through my veins like liquid fire. I had never witnessed such a ruthless display from him before.
He was preparing to target another window when I stepped directly into his line of sight. "Enough! You've proven your point. Not everything needs to be resolved through destruction." My eyes burned with defiance as I stared him down.
His gaze shifted from the shattered glass to me, completely emotionless. "Trust me, this hardly qualifies as destruction. You'll understand true violence when you encounter it."
My chest tightened with such intense anger that I wanted to unleash every bit of it on him. But what chance did I have?
"Do we have a clear agreement now?" He asked, casually clasping his hands behind his back.
"Yes. Now lower that weapon."
To my absolute horror, he aimed at yet another window.
What was happening? Had he lost his mind completely?
