Teyvat Continent.

Mondstadt, Windrise.

"Where is this?"

Looking at the unfamiliar surroundings, Rowan Galehart muttered to himself.

Especially that enormous, inexplicably familiar tree trunk overhead—it made him feel like he'd arrived in a rather extraordinary place.

"You're awake?"

Just then, a voice—hard to tell if male or female—sounded. Rowan turned his head, and the corner of his mouth couldn't help but twitch.

He'd already braced himself for the possibility that he'd really come to that world.

But running into this slacker wind god right off the bat still left him very exasperated.

As everyone knows, none of Teyvat's Seven really do their jobs.

Marvica excluded.

The Anemo Archon, Barbatos, is a booze-hound layabout who won't lift a finger unless he absolutely has to.

The Geo Archon, Morax, is a street-roaming freeloader who never carries a single Mora when he goes out to eat and play.

The Electro Archon, Beelzebul, is a shut-in girl who's holed up at home for five hundred years without stepping outside once.

The Dendro Archon, Nahida, is a little snooper who wanders in and out of people's dreams whenever she feels like it.

The Hydro Archon, Furina, is a performer—if she's not watching a show here, she's watching a trial in the courtroom.

Only the Pyro Archon, Marvica, has been diligently fighting the Abyss from the moment she crossed over to the present.

As for the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya, the current version hasn't updated yet, so who knows.

But according to reliable rumors, she should be a big sis type—wild guess says she's an internet-addicted shut-in.

As for Noderkalai's storyline, Rowan never played it.

What can he say—Star Rail is just too fun. He really isn't that familiar with Genshin.

So Rowan actually doesn't know Genshin's plot all that well.

Especially after the Natlan vs. Abyss final showdown, when the Captain stepped into the board himself to defy the heavens—he uninstalled the game.

So the Five Sinners, Noderkalai—he's not very clear on those.

But if you had to pick the least reliable one among the Seven Nations, there's only one answer players have always agreed on.

Mondstadt's wind god, Barbatos.

Even his dependent, Dvalin, the Dragon of the East Wind, has roasted him before.

"Do something serious for once, Barbatos!"

So you can imagine how complicated Rowan's feelings were to run into this slacker the moment he arrived in Teyvat.

Other people meet the Pyro Archon or the Geo Archon when they show up—worst case, they meet Furina.

How come he gets stuck with the king of slackers?

"Ehe, what's wrong?"

Noticing Rowan's complicated look, Venti tilted his head in puzzlement, playing cute.

"Forget it. Since you're this cute, I won't hold it against you."

"So why am I here?"

Rowan sighed, too lazy to bicker with Venti.

Better to think carefully about how he got here—and why Venti is here too.

"That's a tough one for me. You popped up under the great tree, after all."

"If it weren't for me, some passing hilichurls were about to drag you off."

Venti didn't dwell on why Rowan had looked at him that way.

He studied Rowan with curiosity.

People who appear in Teyvat like this aren't rare.

They're collectively called Travelers—i.e., transmigrators.

Especially in Mondstadt; the great adventurer, Lady Alice, is one of them.

So Venti was indeed curious about Rowan's origins. After all, every transmigrator comes from a different world.

It's worth noting that among transmigrators, there are also those who stand out—people with the power to change the world.

For example, Fanes—he was one of the Descenders.

And Nibelungen, who was born in Teyvat but got his home stolen by Fanes; upon returning, because he bore the power of the Abyss, he was elevated to a Descender as well.

"I see. Thanks, then."

"So you came specifically to find me?"

Rowan lay back under the great tree and started chatting with Venti.

"Yeah. The appearance of a transmigrator is something to take seriously."

Alice's story taught Venti not to underestimate any outsider.

Otherwise, it'd be bad if his own home got blown sky-high.

If he hadn't convinced Alice to travel around Teyvat back then, all of Mondstadt might've been blasted into the air.

Dadaupa Gorge being turned into a basin, and Starsnatch Cliff—those are ironclad proof.

So with another transmigrator showing up, he had to make sure whether Rowan was a threat or not.

And how did Venti determine Rowan was an outsider?

Simple. Everyone in Teyvat has a Constellation. That's the system Fanes established after overthrowing Nibelungen's rule.

As long as you're from Teyvat, you have a Constellation—no exceptions.

If you have a Constellation, then your life's trajectory appears upon the False Sky.

That's what Mona means when she says destiny is already set.

Because the False Sky displays everyone's fate—except outsiders.

And Rowan very obviously has no Constellation. Isn't that clear enough?

"Is that so?"

"What a shame. As you can see, I'm just an ordinary guy."

"Power? I probably don't even have money."

Rowan shook his head with a wry smile.

He knew exactly why Venti was acting this way.

Every transmigrator deserves attention—no matter where they're from. Who knows what power they might carry.

Right, Lady Alice—Klee's mom?

Only problem is, Rowan's got nothing.

Not just after crossing over—even before, he was all alone.

Like most transmigrators, he was an orphan with no relatives, no friends.

All because he complained about a game—and then he transmigrated.

Is it really that ridiculous?

And he complained about FGO—so why did he land in Genshin?

What kind of twisted logic is that?

"Ding. Congratulations to the host for making contact with one of Teyvat's Seven—the Anemo Archon, Barbatos."

"Newbie Gift Pack successfully activated. One random FGO Saint Graph plus a matching Noble Phantasm."

"Draw now?"

What???

What the heck—he only brushed against Venti, and that triggered a reward?

This slapdash?

And since when do newbie packs have trigger conditions?

With no prompt, even? Ridiculous!

And about the FGO he complained about—so this is where it was waiting for him?

Rowan was cursing up a storm in his heart, but faced with a reward, he still obediently chose to open it.

So this is what they call a sharp tongue and an honest body.

"Fine. Roll it!"
