"OH GODDESS LUMINA, I, YOUR SERVANT, BEG OF YOU PLEASE WATCH OVER THE WORLD, FOR WITHOUT YOU MANY OF YOUR CHILDREN WILL SUFFER." The woman prayed as she could no longer feel Rudra's presence. It seemed that the woman was instantly worried about the blood cult, as soon as she heard their mention, she started feeling anxious. However, she chose not to reveal too much to Rudra as she felt that too much information would have just harmed him in the long run.
"Hopefully, unlike the last time, we will have some fighting chance. Everything we went through was recoded properly. I am glad we did so If they are back once more, this generation should have all the information they need to fight them. Leaving all that aside, I wonder if we will gain something helpful from here for the survival of humanity, or I wonder if this will bring more calamity to the world." The woman pondered.
.....
Rudra had forgotten how many hours it had been or how many days it had been since he entered the room. He felt as if he would go insane as he kept on hearing just himself. At some point, Rudra started counting his own heartbeats, so that he could distract himself because he was going crazy from hearing just his heartbeat and blood flow. Even though he was walking, he could not hear his footsteps or any sound other than hearing his own body working.
'Am I even walking? Am I walking in a circle? What will happen if I turn back and start walking backwards? Will I be able to reach the door again?' Many questions started popping up in his brain as he slowly started losing hope. The distraction of counting his own heartbeats didn't work anymore.
'I should probably head back, I don't think there is anything here. Maybe this was just a trap. Was the woman I talked to even real, or was she there just to trap someone gullible like me? There is no point in walking when I don't even know if I will reach my destination or not, is there? NO Just when it seemed he had lost all his hopes, he suddenly shouted in his own mind. Just a moment ago felt like he had no energy left in his body, but when he said no to all of his intrusive thoughts, he felt rejuvenated for some reason.
'What if I die if I turn back. What if this is all just an illusion, trying to test me? What if I return and the woman refuses to help me? What do I even have outside, if I am not able to save anyone from the orphanage? What if...' Instead of asking himself demoralizing questions, Rudra started asking himself questions that would keep him moving. As he kept on asking himself these questions, it seemed to have had some effects on his mental state, as he was able to keep moving forward with a renewed fortitude.
After almost stumbling, Rudra kept o walking. He had no idea how long he had walked; there was no concept of time moving forward in this black space. So, he was not sure if it had just been a few minutes or if years had passed just walking.
"Wh....What the hell?" Rudra squeaked i panic, suddenly the totally dark place he was walking on had completely changed. Rudra felt as if he had been teleported somewhere entirely different. As soon as the scenery changed, he had to forcibly shut his eyes. His eyes were already accustomed to total darkness, so when light suddenly flashed i his eyes, he felt sharp pain in his eyes.
"How can this be? How can I be... AHHHH..... Fuck that scared me SIGH..." As Rudra slowly opened his eyes, he suddenly found himself in a place that resembled outer space. While looking around himself, when he looked down, he got so scared that he yelled like a child who had just been jump scared. There was nothing that he could stand on in this space; he felt like he would fall.
'I must have really gone crazy.' Rudra said as he ridiculed himself. After laughing to himself, he started looking around the space, trying to figure out if he had finally reached his destination. There were countless stars in the distance. After seeing this place, he was doubting if he had really reached outer space.
'Who could have made this place? It looks just like the space that we have seen through telescopes or pictures captured by many space organizations. If I weren't alive, I would have really believed that I was in space.' Rudra said to himself as he started floating around the space. Although the scenery was uncanny, he had an objective in mind. So, he started searching for the 'reason' he was brought here for.
"Is that it?" Rudra questioned himself as very far in front of him, he could finally see something in the distance. Finally seeing something other than the stars, he picked up his speed and went straight towards the object he was barely able to see.
"What i this? A chain? Huh!" Rudra finally came close to the thing he had seen from miles away. The thing he saw was chains, very huge ones. If he had to measure the circumference of the chain, just one of the chains was as big as a cruise ship. He had never in his life seen such a thing. There wasn't just one chain, though; there were countless of them they were going around each other. From the looks, Rudra figured that they were converging at some point, as it seemed they were getting closer to one another as they went further.
"Maybe I need to go in that direction, hopefully I am right, or else I will have to go the other way. Wait, what the..." Rudra decided to head towards the direction where he could see the chains were merging. After deciding the direction he wanted to go, he tried touching the chain. However, his hand just passed through the chains as if they were not there to begin with.
"Am I just hallucinating or something?" Rudra asked himself as he was bewildered. Thinking he might just be seeing things, he tried looking at the chains using the vision that helped him see spiritual power. He was instantly able to confirm he was not seeing things; the chains were indeed real.
'So, that was the reason why I wasn't able to touch them. Should I try to absorb it?' thought Rudra as he came to know that the chains were made of Spiritual power itself. When he saw the Spirit power coursing through the chains like blood, greed seeped into his heart. Rudra suddenly felt the urge to absorb the power inside the chains themselves. After absorbing the power from the door, Rudra was a bit disappointed as he was only able to store just a little bit of the power. This time, however, he knew even if he was able to absorb a little bit of the power of the chain, he could be able to get stronger.
Rudra sat atop the chain as he began preparing. Just when he absorbed just a little bit of the Spiritual power, he jumped up from where he was as he instantly tried to distance himself.
