Chapter 4 - she's here

Aura went back to M city. She went empty-handed. Of course, she needed nothing. To be with the man she loved, she got a new identity, except for her first name, which she didn't change, leaving behind her family and friends and ending up in A city.

Her friends must be annoyed with her because she's been gone for two years without any contact with them.

Aura thought the marriage was the gateway to Orion's heart, after being his secretary, which didn't work out.

Not knowing he only wanted to secure his hold on the family company. He had contributed immensely to its glory and didn't want to lose it. She got to know he had a young cousin who was competing with him for the company.

And marriage was the only solution for him to have it.

After investigating, she also found out that Orion had no contacts with women except his mother.

And looking at the situation, she was the only woman close to him after his mother. Therefore, she was the best candidate for marriage.

In order not to make it look like a flash one, he prepared a contract, making it look like a contract marriage.

After signing the divorce papers, she left them in his study. His lawyer would go for them. He had already signed them when he threw them at her.

One thing she regrets is leaving without telling the old man.

Since her two-month stay with Orion, the only person who cared about her was his grandfather.

He wanted them to be together, his foolish grandson only has eyes for the company.

"Miss Aura, welcome back "

The family butler greeted her.

"Why didn't you take me with you. You look thin. What happened to all the health talks I gave you? Oh, master is going to scold me."

Alfred, the butler was on his knees, assessing the young mistress for any bruises on her skin.

"Oh, Alfred. No need to do that. I'm fine. I've only lost some weight."

"Miss, you are already a thin layer, and you've reduced. What is left of you is only bones."

Aura gave a hearty laugh 😂.

Gosh, she hasn't laughed like that in a while.

"Alfred, are my parents around?" She asked after cooling herself down.

"I have missed you so much. How is A city?"

"Alfred, I have a lot to tell you, but first, I want to see my two best people in the world."

"Sure, sure young miss. They are in the upper lounge.

"Thank you, Alfred."

"Aura, should I prepare something for you?"

He asked. He sure wanted her to feel at home again.

"Yes please. My favourite ice-cream."

Alfred watched her until she was out of sight.

He has worked for the Zeldas for thirty years now. He was around when Aura came into this world.

He had held her in his arms and seen her beautiful hazel eyes. Whenever Master and Madam were on a business trip and couldn't afford to take her along, he would always be the second parent.

He loved her dearly.

He has known her to be a good person, always looking up for the welfare of others.

But she had a cold temperament that neededn't be messed with. No one can stand her when she is angry 😡.

She has even discussed with him her plans to go to A city to look for a man who saved her from some thugs.

Not knowing, she planned to stay there. Finally, she's here with him safe and sound.

Knock, knock.

"Who's there?" Aura sounded like Astrid, her mother. Her parents were on one of the couches, they seemed to be engaged in a hearty conversation.

"Where are my two best people in the world?"

"She's here," She heard her mom's voice.

"Aura," Ambrose, her father called out to her.

"Mom, Dad!" She threw her body onto their laps. Astrid and Ambrose were sitting close to each other, making it easy for her.

"I missed you guys so much!" She was almost in tears.

"How have you been my daughter?" Astrid asked in between sobs.

"How can I be well, without you guys. I've been away for two years now."

Aura sat between them, with her arm around their necks.

"Dad!"

"Stand there!"

Ambrose instructed his daughter. He was going to do a feature check-up.

Aura obeyed since this was a laid-down rule in the family. Astrid sat there, also checking out her daughter.

"You've lost weight. Aura, what happened to you?"

Ambrose looked angry.

Astrid tried to tame him.

"Did you have a death wish when you went out there? Why didn't you consult us about your health?"

"Dad, I'm alright. It's just some weight that I lost. I'm fine."

She turned sideways to make them view her body well.

"I missed you so much!"

Aura once again threw herself into their arms.

"Tell me," she kissed her father on the cheek followed by he mother's.

"Did you not miss me?"

"Of course, I did. How can I be at ease when my daughter is out there?"

"Astrid," she addressed he mother by her name and Astrid seemed cool 😎 with it.

"I missed you, your lectures, food and your bargains."

Both Astrid and her husband stared at their daughter.

They had allowed her into another city because of the guy who had saved her.

She told them she was only going to look for him and return home. She had later called that, she had found a job and was okay with it. So she wanted to stay there for a while.

Aura took for herself a new identity, cutting them off. That, they shouldn't meddle in what she wanted to do.

Her friends would always call to ask about her. Astrid and Ambrose were tired and had to tell them where their daughter was.

They thought that would make them cease calling, but they took a new turn and visited them every weekend. They wantd to make sure they were alright since Arden was also in school.

Those two girls: Wren and Ivy. They were grateful to them.

"Miss, your ice cream is ready."

Alfred was up there.

"Please keep it in the freezer for me, Alfred, I need to shower first."

"Yes, miss Aura." Alfred gave them some privacy.

"Guys, I need to gist you out, but I've missed my room and my bed especially. See you." She was out of sight at the other side of the staircase, going to her room.
