Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

BANG—

With the final kick, the old, battered refrigerator in front of her finally toppled under the immense force. The black-haired girl collapsed onto the ground in the next instant, utterly spent, gasping for air like she had run a marathon.

"Hah… haa… finally… succeeded."

Excitement, exhilaration…

Though she appeared fragile and exhausted on the surface, Rin's heart was actually bursting with joy. This wasn't just about surviving a brutal routine—it meant she had finally gained enough power to protect herself.

"Let's see… the info on X now."

Though classified as an Assassin-class heroic spirit, X's weapon was a dazzling sword. When her Noble Phantasm was unleashed, an additional jet-black blade of equal power materialized, transforming her into a terrifying dual-wielding warrior.

Skills:

Support Artillery EX

Saber Star C++

Galactic Meteor Sword C

Class Abilities:

Cosmic Reactor A

Riding EX

Noble Phantasm:

Nameless Victory Sword A++

"These stats match the game's descriptions… though I wonder how they perform in reality."

Even from the basic overview, the abilities looked powerful.

Support Artillery could inflict area-wide stun, making it a potent crowd control option.

Saber Star had evolved from intuition, granting her not only extra damage but the instinctive awareness of a heroic spirit—useful both in combat and survival.

Galactic Meteor Sword added extra damage and provided special effectiveness against Saber-class opponents.

These three skills formed the core of her combat abilities, while Riding and Cosmic Reactor allowed X to operate vehicles and maintain sustained fighting capability.

And of course, the Nameless Victory Sword was her ultimate finisher—its destructive power terrifying.

In terms of rank, X's potential was immense. Yet Rin couldn't fully harness her combat prowess at this stage; she could only maintain the level of a first-stage heroic spirit, more a servant than a full heroic spirit.

Furthermore, X's usage conditions were stricter than Yukino's. At first, she could only be summoned for five minutes per day, though that duration could gradually increase over time.

"Well… it's still better than nothing. Tomorrow's the U.A. entrance exam—I better perform well."

Midoriya had already cleared the beach area, and now the seaside park looked far cleaner and more orderly than it had months ago.

After a brief rest, Rin sat atop the trash heap, swinging her legs quietly as she faced the rising sun.

"Dawn, huh…"

Though she hadn't yet canceled her Yukino transformation, she could now confidently present herself in a male form when necessary.

And Midoriya's gaze toward her had begun to feel… strange. Occasionally, when their eyes met, he would blush slightly. Rin found the sensation disgusting.

She didn't intend to compete for the "heroine role" with anyone in this world.

"Let's spend the first five minutes of X's time."

She summoned Mysterious Heroine X beside her. The girl appeared in a blue robe, shorts revealing her long legs, gripping a sword nearly as long as the distance from her head to her knees. A blue hat covered her head, but one stubborn ahoge poked through.

"So, she really looks like Artoria."

Golden hair confirmed it—this body's charm rivaled Yukino's. In terms of physique, she clearly outshone Yukino's modest chest.

Rin shook her head, suppressing the slightly lewd thoughts that came unbidden.

Swish~

With a casual flick, a massive metal cabinet dozens of meters away split clean in two under the invisible force of a blade. Even casually wielded, X's destructive power was formidable.

"Definitely not what I'd expect from an assassin."

Rin was stunned by the power. Even in the entire U.A. world, this level of combat strength was terrifying.

February 25 — One Day Before the U.A. Exam

Following the school's arrangements, Rin made her final visit to the classroom, meeting several teachers absent from the original storyline.

Many students accompanied her, including top-ranking aspirants aiming for prestigious schools, though only two dared to apply to U.A.

"Rin, you've arrived?" one of the teachers called from the front. Rin didn't know them well. "I heard a report about your quirk… just changing your appearance won't help. U.A. is the top academy; even gaining entry is far more difficult than you realize."

The implication was clear: over the past few years, no teacher had ever witnessed Rin's true ability, leaving them skeptical of his actual potential.

"So, you know now," Rin said in Yukino's form, sighing. It was impossible to hide the fact that his real body was male. Normally, as a B-class student, other teachers wouldn't randomly investigate, but now the bold male designation on his application had left everyone speechless.

"I guess you couldn't hide it…"

Accepting the reality, Rin gave a deep breath and, in front of all the students, slowly reverted to his true form.

As the young man's unremarkable appearance appeared, most of the crowd was momentarily speechless.

A teacher let out an awkward chuckle. "I just wonder… why not show yourself as your actual form?"

"Of course, to train my quirk," Rin explained. "My ability creates clones. As you can see, each clone can take on a form directly. Different clones have different abilities. The one you've seen is specialized in learning—she has a clear mind, not combat-oriented—so she can't demonstrate strong fighting power."

The teachers drew in a deep breath. Clearly, Rin's explanation carried weight.

"And the other clones?"

Rin smirked, his body beginning to shift. Moments later, he transformed into Mysterious Heroine X, raising her sword to the sky.

Vuuum—

A terrifying shockwave, accompanied by a sonic boom, shot skyward. The sheer spectacle confirmed her strength, leaving the observing teachers in stunned silence.

"Wait!"

Among the tense quiet, a male student nervously raised his hand. "You mean… the guy just now… that was your real body?"

"Yes," X nodded.

"No… no way!" The boy covered his face in disbelief, collapsing onto the floor. "Impossible! I liked you… I've liked you for so long!"

His words faltered, confusion giving way to determination. "It's okay… I like you. I'm going to confess—"

"Die!"

Before he could finish, X swung her weapon in a furious arc. The resulting shockwave sent him flying across the room.
