At this moment, Zabuza Momochi was furious. He had arrived a step too late and did not witness the moment Goku appeared before Naruto.

However, from their body language, he could tell they were strangers.

This, combined with the fact that there was no information about this man in his intelligence reports, led him to conclude that he was merely a passerby.

Seizing the opportunity while Kakashi the Copy Ninja was not by Tazuna's side, he had thrown his Executioner's Blade, hoping to take the target's head in a single strike.

At the very least, he could eliminate one of the brats protecting the target, saving himself some trouble later.

But to his surprise, just as his primary objective failed and his secondary objective was within reach, this nameless nobody, whom he had dismissed, had knocked his blade away, ruining his easy victory.

Thinking of this, he lifted the Executioner's Blade and pointed its tip directly at Goku. "You bastard, you're really starting to piss me off."

However, Goku paid him no mind and instead turned to Kakashi. "Um, excuse me, where is this place?"

When Shenron sent him here, he hadn't told him what kind of world it was, only that he should find out for himself, which is why he asked the question.

But Kakashi's full attention was now on Zabuza, and he had no time to answer Goku's query. Seeing no response from Kakashi, Goku scratched his head and looked at Naruto.

"Oh, this... this is the Land of Waves," Naruto replied after a moment's thought.

"The Land of Waves, huh?" Goku stroked his chin, a thoughtful look on his face.

In his mind, he was actually thinking, 'I wonder if there's anything good to eat here?' He hadn't eaten in a long time, and his stomach was empty. He was desperate for a big meal right away.

Meanwhile, Zabuza, having been completely ignored by Goku, felt a vein throb on his forehead as rage shot to his brain. He! The infamous Zabuza Momochi!

The Demon of the Hidden Mist, feared by countless ninja! Today, he was being ignored by some nobody?

At this thought, he could no longer contain his anger. Forgetting his mission's objective, he swung his greatsword and charged at Goku.

"Watch out!" Kakashi, who had been keeping a close eye on Zabuza, yelled as he grabbed Naruto and leaped back.

A moment ago, Goku's phantom-like speed had confirmed for him that this man was a master. Therefore, a simple warning was all he offered.

Now, he also wanted to see how Goku would handle the attack. Would he retreat with that incredible speed, or would he face it head-on?

Clang!

In the next instant, Kakashi's pupils dilated, his eyes filled with utter disbelief.

Sharing his expression were Naruto, dangling from his hand, Sasuke, and the others who had also moved back, and, of course, Zabuza, who was in the middle of his attack.

They all watched as Goku raised his right hand, extended a single index finger, and effortlessly stopped the full force of Zabuza's Executioner's Blade.

"What is this?" Zabuza's eye twitched. Though he found it incredible, he did not withdraw his sword.

Instead, with a surge of fury, he began relentlessly hacking at Goku from various angles.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

But without exception, every single strike was steadfastly blocked by Goku's single finger. It didn't matter if he attacked from the front, the side, from above, or from behind.

Goku didn't move a single step. He didn't even turn his body or his head, as if he had eyes all over his body, flawlessly catching every attack.

Swoosh!

After multiple failed attempts, Zabuza finally pulled his sword back and retreated, staring at Goku with a grim expression.

"Who in the world are you?"

Now, he no longer saw Goku as a nobody but as a threat equal to Kakashi the Copy Ninja.

"I'm Son Goku," Goku said with a goofy grin, his hands clasped behind his head.

"Son Goku... I've never heard of anyone by that name in the ninja world," Zabuza said, narrowing his eyes.

He knew of practically every renowned and powerful individual in the ninja world, but he had never heard of Son Goku.

The way he had just blocked his attacks was proof of his considerable skill. How could he have never heard of such a person?

Could he be a secret weapon hidden by one of the villages? At this thought, he couldn't help but glance at Kakashi and his team nearby.

'Is he from Konoha? No, that can't be right. Judging by their reactions, they really don't know this guy. Then maybe Iwa or Kumo?'

He didn't even consider Suna or his own former village, Kiri. In his opinion, those two villages were incapable of producing such a secret weapon.

But that raised another question. If Son Goku truly was a secret weapon from Iwa or Kumo, why was he here, and why was he helping the Konoha ninja?

He couldn't figure it out, so he decided to stop thinking about it. If he could capture Goku, wouldn't all the answers be revealed?

With this in mind, he looked at Goku and said coldly, "Son Goku, I admit your taijutsu is impressive, but don't think for a second that's enough to beat me. You should know that's not what I'm best at!"

"Hidden Mist Jutsu!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a thick, white fog instantly enveloped the area, concealing everyone within it.

"Be careful! This is the Hidden Mist's Silent Killing technique!" Kakashi warned, positioning himself in front of Naruto and the others, his tone grave.

He then lifted his headband, revealing the Sharingan he usually kept hidden. In a situation like this, not using this eye would be like being blind.

If Zabuza decided to attack them first, he wouldn't be able to react in time.

"Damn it, how can there be a jutsu like this!" Naruto broke out in a cold sweat, staring intently into the fog, but he couldn't see a thing.

"This killing intent..." Sasuke felt goosebumps rise all over his skin as he sensed the chilling, murderous aura that flickered in and out of the air.

Fortunately, Zabuza's killing intent was focused almost entirely on Goku, so he wasn't paralyzed with fear.

"Huh? Why did it suddenly get so foggy?" Only Goku remained completely calm, looking around like a curious child without a hint of vigilance.

Suddenly, his eyes shifted, and his body vanished in an instant.

A greatsword slashed through the mist, striking the exact spot where Goku had been standing just a moment before. But it was clear the attack had missed.

Zabuza reappeared, his face growing even darker at the sight.

"Hey, are you looking for me?" A large hand suddenly rested on his shoulder, making his expression change drastically.

In the next moment, his body dissolved into a pool of water.

"Huh? How did he turn into water?" Goku, who had appeared behind him at some point, scratched his head in confusion as he looked at the water on his hand.

He then instantly sidestepped to the right, and a massive sword slammed into the ground, nearly grazing his left arm.

"Tch, another failure?" Seeing his strike miss again, Zabuza pulled back his sword and vanished into the mist once more.

Immediately after, Goku tilted his head slightly, his gaze seemingly piercing through the thick fog. He saw Zabuza's figure suddenly appear behind Tazuna.

Kakashi, his Sharingan active, noticed this immediately. He flickered in front of Zabuza, his kunai blocking the assassin's large sword.

"So you decided to come after us after all," he said in a low, tense voice, his eyes locked on Zabuza.

"Tch, Kakashi the Copy Ninja. As expected, your Sharingan can see through my movements," Zabuza said with a scowl, his plan thwarted again.

After his two failed attacks on Goku, he knew he couldn't take him down quickly, so he switched his focus back to the mission's target.

But now it was clear that, just as the intelligence reports stated, Kakashi was also a formidable opponent.

Realizing he was facing two opponents of comparable skill while he was alone made the thought of retreat cross his mind.

Although Haku was nearby and would come if he signaled, he wasn't certain the two of them could win. It would be better to fall back, strategize, and engage them again later.

And so, after uttering the classic line, "I'll be back," he disappeared into the mist and left the area.

Without the jutsu to sustain it, the thick fog quickly dissipated, revealing a bewildered Tazuna and the three young genin, a solemn-faced Kakashi, and Goku, who was rubbing his stomach with a slightly embarrassed smile.

"I'm so hungry. Do you guys have anything to eat?"
