Thousands of years ago, the two most powerful nations were at war with each other.
At that time, people didn't care whether men or women went to battle the only thing that mattered was not losing the war. For many years, countless people died, as the two powers refused to come to an agreement.
After about fifteen years of war, something happened on the battlefield that people still talk about to this day.
The sky began to crack open. Since it was cloudy at the time, most soldiers didn't notice it at first. But as the cracks grew larger, the clouds dispersed, revealing a terrifying sight that silenced everyone. No one kept fighting.
Everyone believed it was the end of humanity and the planet itself but things became even worse.
Suddenly, blood began to pour out of the cracks. A massive amount of blood. You could have easily saved every person in need of blood with it.
Everyone stood frozen in horror. But when the blood touched people, they began attacking each other. Soldiers killed themselves, their enemies, their friends anyone nearby. Others began muttering nonsense, completely losing their minds.
The two great powers soon learned of this and made a pact, realizing that what was happening was far more dangerous than any conflict between them.
The mindless, insane humans came to be known as the Blood-Infected.
And the catastrophe was named the Bloodfall.
Eventually, they captured all the infected and imprisoned them. But they did not die instead, they multiplied. Over time, the more of them there were, the more human they became again.
After some time, the two nations decided to release them, as they had now turned into humans with supernatural powers.
Today, they live normal lives alongside other people. However, whenever there are crimes or monster attacks, they are called to handle them which gives them a higher status in society.
That is the story of how the Blood Warriors came to be.
(Explanations):
Blood Warriors: Humans who carry the blood of the Bloodfall within them.
There are two types of Blood Warriors:
Type 1: The more often they use their powers, the more insane they become.
If they refrain from using their ability for two years, they return to normal.
Type 2: Their abilities have side effects on essential life aspects.
(For example: they can create animals that taste wonderful, but everything they eat tastes like vomit.)
