"This is sad," I told my friends as we were watching the first spar of the day. Kiba vs one civilian kid. The civilian was trying to rush at kiba after he was pushed back by kiba. He was being toyed with by the inuzuka. As I said, it was sad. Well, that kid was going in one of the lower brackets
Kiba ducked under a punch thrown by the kid. Tanji? I think his name was. Kiba grabbed the kid's arm and shifted his legs and aimed a punch to the kid's face.
"Yeah... this isn't exactly a spar," Ino agreed. We looked over to Naruto for his opinion. The kid raised up his hands to block but Kiba changed stances. Kiba threw his punch at the poor kid's stomach. He was sent flying out of the ring finally ending the sad excuse of the fight
"He kicked his ass!" Naruto exclaimed. He also didn't look too pleased at the "spar." "I mean kiba should have ended it instead of being an asshole!" Nauto complained voicing out everyone's thoughts
"For once I agree with you naruto" I heard one lazy voice draw out.
"Winner kiba" Iruka announced. He, like most of the kids, wasn't pleased by kiba just toying with the civilian kid. He hadn't even been hit once/
"You know someone should really take Kiba's ego down a peg or two" I sighed. I was happy I didn't have to fight kiba yet. My taijutsu wasn't the best at the moment and my stats weren't as high as I wanted them to be yet. But kiba just was an asshole.
"Yeah kiba needs to get his ass kicked ya know!" Naruto exclaimed loudly. Loud enough for kiba to hear him... great
Kiba began walking over to us as Iruka called the next match. I really hoped he would stop but I knew it wouldn't happen. Sadly. Kiba just had to come and bother us.
I looked over toward kiba then back at naruto and ino. " I'll take care of this," I told the blonds next to me.
"Okay. Make sure to embarrass him for us!" Naruto said. If one asks they shall receive. I'd try
"Yeah. Be careful though. you don't know if Kiba's going to freak out or not" Ino shook her hand at the sky.
"Got it! Let's hope he leaves us alone though" I said as I walked over to kiba.
"Hey, loser! What are you and your little friends talking about?" Kiba asked after greeting me rudely. I smiled at the mutt and his dog.
"Hey, asshole! We were just talking about your sky-high ego" I told the inuzuka greeting him with a smile. He stopped as did I. The mutt opened his mouth to speak but I stopped him as Iruka called the next match. Sasuke vs shino. That should be interesting
"Hey let me speak," kiba said, clearly annoyed.
I smiled at Kiba. "Nope. You should just leave its pointless really. I'm not going to let you boost your ego" I told him cheerfully. I looked over at the spar and watched as shino dodged Sasuke's punches and kicks with great effort. He seemed tired already. At least he was trying though!
"Why won't you just listen loser? Are you just acting confident in front of your little friends? Come on, you're fooling nobody" Kiba said, ignoring my last comment completely. Typical. I wouldn't let that deter me though. I would make sure I won
My smile grew larger. Kiba started to look a little annoyed. Good. "Haha, I'm fooling nobody! Look at you looking all tough for nobody who cares. Your pathetic" I said as the rest of the class that wasn't fighting began to look at us. Shino blocked another punch from Sasuke and he shifted his feet ready to kick the avenger. He failed and got his legs swept out instead. And match
"Really you think I'm acting tough?" Kiba let out a boisterous laugh "How funny kukui. You think you can take the attention away from you loser. The truth is that nobody buys it and everyone knows you're just a pathetic loser trying to act like he's not a pathetic loser" Kiba said, looking at the class expecting to see everyone agree with him. A few heads shook in agreement but most didn't. "See?"
"Enough arguing you two. Kukui, it's your turn to spar." Iruka said. I looked at my opponent and saw a nervous Hinata. 'Fuck me. Of course, I have to fight a Hyuuga this early on' I cursed mentally. Hinata, while nervous, could still kick my ass. I really wanted to give up but...
"Lucky you you got a way out loser" Kiba mocked as I walked over to the ring.
"AT LEAST IM NOT A FUCKING IDIOT" I shouted back knowing he couldn't yell anything back. I looked over to my opponent who was now in the gentle fist stance
'Stats' I called out mentally. I needed to make sure I had high enough stats to at least stand a chance,

My constitution was very overleveled at this point as my little reward from last week really helped. But my other stats weren't lacking much. I still didn't know how energy points were 220 through. Strength sucked as usual and dexterity was good but I wanted it higher. Really I could only stand up to everyone in stamina and speed at the moment. I was thinking of buying weights to help with strength though.

Yeah, this one would kind of suck with my strength. Luckily my dexterity was decent enough to somewhat compensate. Speed was my thing really. I would need a weapon to compensate in actual combat though for my poor strength. 'Anyways I have a plan' I thought. Most mednin were trained to evade and attack using chakra scalpels. I didn't have either but I was fast. I would just bastardize their style. Easy right? Well, It turns out bastardizing something is actually hard. I tried earlier in the week. I failed. But oh well no better time than now to actually pull it off right?
"Alright, you two know the rules. No killing or maiming and get your opponent to either concede or get them out of the ring" Iruka explained, looking at us sternly. "Am I clear"
"Yes sensei," Me and Hinata both said.
"Good now do the seal of confrontation," Iruka said as we both made the seal.
"Now begin"
I began right away by jumping back to the edge of the ring with Hinata following. She pointed a palm out at my stomach presumably hoping to end it quickly. I shifted my legs to the side and dodged. I tried to slam i fist into her spine for a quick match but hinata ducked then she grabbed my arm. I jumped back and she let go of my arm but she pursued.
I knew better than to engage directly with her. That was tantamount to suicide. I grabbed her arm mirroring her when she grabbed mine. I raised my leg to kick the blueette in the stomach but she grabbed it as well. Hinata with her other hand strikes a chakra point in my leg making it useless.
With my other hand, I punched Hinata in the stomach with all the effort I could. It looked like it didn't do as much as I hoped for but she let go.
'Fuck this hurts. I really wish I finished reading those medical books. At least I got to the pressure points section' I thought. Hinata struck a pressure point and a chakra coil which was why my leg was useless at the moment. I pushed that pressure point again and felt my leg begin to work again. My chakra coil would open up again soon.
I looked to Hinata who was now standing still and looking at me. Waiting for my next move it seems. 'okay let's see. Sprinting' I called out the best skill I had in my mind.

It was overpowered as fuck even with its high cost. My Energy points had regenerated fast so I could use it for roughly 7 seconds. More than enough time to get a good hit in. I would need to aim for the pressure point in Hinata's neck to knock her out. That was my only hope at winning. At least the only hope I could think of
I shifted my feet in preparation for my sprinting. Hinata saw this and began to run toward me. I activated sprinting and jumped as Hinata thrust a palm toward me in hopes to knock me out. I leapt over the palm strike but just barely. I opened my fist and held my fingers together. I wanted to chop at that pressure point. I aimed my chop. I was so close to victory.
I felt a palm connect to my stomach... then black...
"Shikamaru had a point," I said now, looking at the clouds... 'Wait what the fuck happened' I looked around and I was outside of the ring and everyone was looking toward me, naruto and ino who were next to me. "What the fuck just happened
"You got your ass kicked, that's what happened!" Naruto laughed. So did kiba but fuck him.
"Great friend naruto" I muttered as the memory of me and Hinata's spar came back to me
"Yeah, that was just sad at the end. What were you thinking anyway?" Ino asked, basically calling me an idiot.
"I was aiming for a pressure point, I hadn't accounted for the possibility of her aiming upwards. That was stupid of me I know" I explained. Fuck I am weak. "I'm upping my strength training," I said. Speed and stamina were fantastic but I had neglected strength for far too long. I could have knocked Hinata out but no my strength of seven wasn't enough
"You're not upping ours aren't you?" Ino asked, narrowing her eyes at me.
"No I'm not unless you want me too" I said as I got up
"Alright now that kukui is awake you two can do the seal of reconciliation," Iruka said. 'Really you care about that? I was just knocked out!' I cried out in my mind I moved to the middle of the ring as was tradition and we did the stupid seal.
"I'm sorry for knocking you out kukui-kun" Hinata quickly said meekly.
"Its fine we were in a spar after all. I just need to stop being so weak" I replied kindly and with a smile. I quickly went back to ino and naruto. I still was hurting like hell from that palm strike. I was for sure diving into evasion training as well. Two things on my bucket list
"You look like shit" Ino said as she saw me walk back. She must not have paid attention before.
"No shit. Hey, after today can we skip training, I need more time to recover?" I asked before the need to puke came to me. "Also a trashcan please"
I walked back into my apartment tired and ragged. A few plants greeted me as I entered. I had gotten them a few weeks ago. Mainly mini cherry blossom trees and a few mini rose bushes. My two favorite plants. Ino and Naruto made me train today. Specifically lifting weights, push-ups, sit-ups and squats. SO MANY THRICE DAMNED PUSH-UPS. I turned on my lights and walked to my kitchen. Some tea sounded nice.
As I was boiling the water I heard a knock.
"Oh come on naruto why now" I muttered. I told Naruto that he could come over anytime he wanted but I really didn't want to deal with him now. I walked over to the door and opened it. Instead of a blond idiot wearing neon orange I saw.
"Uh hello Hokage-sama," I said respectfully in shock. Of fucking course I had to meet the Hokage now. Why not later in a better environment instead of my apartment... Where nobody would find me for another day or so
"Hello, kukui-kun. May I come in?" Hiruzen asked politely. His face let nothing show that could indicate he was here to kill me. Although he would send anbu for that and I'm not skilled enough at all to determine malice in people.
"O-Of course Hokage-sama, Would you like some tea?" I offered politely. I quickly composed myself. I could die here
" Sure. I can see you are already making some. Were you expecting someone?" Hiruzen asked as he stepped into my apartment and took a seat.
"No, not really. Although I wouldn't be surprised if my friend showed up" I said, quickly finishing the tea.
"I see. your friend must come here a lot," Hiruzen said as I handed him a cup of tea which he quickly sipped.
"Kissaten huh? Fine choice" Hiruzen said taking another sip of the tea
"How'd you know?" I asked, flabbergasted. Who guesses the flavor of tea?
"It's one of my favorites. You know I heard the academy is offering extra courses for students soon" Hiruzen told me. I heard about them. I didn't know if my friends would take some or what they'd take. We were offered one class in the beginning and 2 later
"Really? I wonder What they'd offer? I wonder what my friends would take" I mused taking my own sip of tea.
"Heavy ninjutsu, and medical jutsu most likely," Hiruzen said. "What would you take?" He asked.
Okay, now I know he knew I was friends with Naruto and Ino. "There are so many things I would love to take. Medical jutsu, stealth, fuinjutsu, and ninjutsu are the biggest ones. Medical jutsu in particular takes priority right now" I told the fire shadow.
"Medical jutsu. We could always use more medics, But with your other choices it seems like you want to be a combat medic or an assassin?" Hiruzen mused taking another sip of his tea.
"Sorta. There are so many things Konoha is lacking right now like a spare fuinjutsu expert and Like you said Konoha always needs more medics. Assassin is only somewhat accurate. I want to be a mix of a tank, an assassin, and a medic really. Imagine someone with Tsunade Senju's super strength, the stealth of a spymaster, and the durability of the third raikage. I basically want to be that person" I said for once telling someone my ambition. Hiruzen just nodded
"I see, that's quite ambitious isn't it?" Hiruzen asked me. I nodded as well.
"Ambitious it may be but it's a goal of mine. Anyways, you mentioned heavy ninjutsu for my friend. I'm assuming you meant Naruto right?" I asked the fire shadow.
"I see your perceptive. Yes, I was talking about naruto-kun why do you ask?" Hiruzen wondered.
"Wouldn't trap-making and fuinjutsu make more sense for him? As someone who was a victim of his pranks, I assume you know things he could do if he had access to better materials and craftsmanship `` I answered coolly.
Hiruzen shivered. "Yes naruto-kun would make a great expert in traps and fuinjutsu but his talents could be used elsewhere like in ninjutsu," Hiruzen said, taking a final sip of his tea.
"Would you like another cup of tea?" I asked politely
"Yes I would" Hiruzen answered
I poured hiruzen another cup of tea.
"Ninjutsu for naruto would be good with his insane chakra levels. Also, I'd look into an alternative for the basic clone to teach students if they can't do the basic clone. Anyways naruto is talented at traps and pranks. He has crappy materials and he makes them work like a master. I have a strong feeling he'd be great at fuinjutsu. It's like it runs in his blood or something" I said, pouring myself another cup of tea and taking a long sip. I saw Hiruzen's face control in many different ways for a second.
"You may have a point. Anyways It seems to be getting late and I must go. Paperwork won't do it itself sadly" Hiruzen said, realizing it was getting quite late.
"I see Hokage-sama. Why don't you try using clones to do the paperwork for you?" I asked. I figured I could give the man an out with his paperwork problem.
"I... Thank you kukui. I haven't thought of that" Hiruzen said just as he opened the door. "Before I go though, remember where leaves fall, they can burn," Hiruzen said subtly, threatening me. He closed the door.
"Holy shit..." I said aloud which reflected my thoughts. 'Oh shit, he's watching me... I need to be careful,' I thought. The motherfucking Hokage subtly told me if I defected or did anything wrong I'm dead. Things just got a lot harder for me.
"Look, they have trapping classes!" Naruto pointed out excitedly. We were signing up for our extra classes now. Apparently, since my talk with the Hokage a few days ago, the number of classes we could take was upgraded to two.
"I see. They're combined with fuinjutsu though" I said. Naruto saw but his smile didn't go away at all
"Never thought you'd even think about taking fuinjutsu naruto" Ino voiced her thoughts from beside us. Everyone else was currently signing up for their classes now.
"So what are you guys taking?" I asked curiously. I had a feeling ino was taking medical jutsu and interrogation. Naruto would take fuinjutsu and trapping along with ninjutsu. Hiruzen would be right then.
"Medical jutsu and interrogation easily," Ino replied in a second. One point to me!
"Hm..." Naruto was thinking. That was bad most of the time. "Fuinjutsu, trapping and probably taijutsu," Naruto said after thinking about it for a bit.
"Wow. I thought you'd take ninjutsu naruto" I said shocked.
"Yeah, you always complain about wanting strong jutsu" Ino agreed just as shocked as me.
"Hey! Ninjutsu is cool and all but learning how to kick people's asses in seconds sounds cool too" Naruto defended his choice
"Okay that makes sense then" Ino said. "Hey kukui, what are you gonna take?" Ino asked with curiosity written all over her face.
"Hmm... There are so many good classes. Medical jutsu for sure but for the other" I started. I began to think about my choices. 'Fuinjutsu could be really useful in all sorts of scenarios. Stealth would be good as well. Ninjutsu was cool and it allowed me to do long-range. Bukijutsu for weaponry also seemed useful. It would take away many of my concerns for fights. I could use it to compensate for my crappy taijutsu. The other ones aren't really ones I care about. "Probably bukijutsu to compensate for my subpar taijutsu. Ninjutsu and fuinjutsu seem cool and all but practicality seems better" I explained as my friends nodded.
"What weapon would you use then?" Naruto asked. Now, this is something I hadn't thought of yet. Suddenly a memory of a different anime appeared in my head. Demon slayer. I thought. A katana of course!
"A katana most likely," I told the blonds.
"I see. That seems kind of bland though" Ino said. It might have been bland but it was cool.
"Yeah, I agree. Why not something cooler like a kusarigama or something?" Naruto asked.
"Because a katana is somewhat easy to use and I can use it in unique ways!" I defended my choice of class
"Alright it's time to do this" I said as I sat down and closed my eyes. I began to feel something warm envelop me. I pulled on it

"Holy shit" I muttered. My chakra doubled then some. Apparently, it equaled 10 times my highest stat. That was fucking great.
"Okay class I have some important news to share with you all today," Iruka said at the beginning of class. We all looked to Iruka. He didn't have news this early unless it was important.
'I wonder what it'll be' I thought. Maybe it was the Hokage? Maybe it was war? Maybe it was hiruzen revealing Naruto's jinchurriki status? It probably wasn't any of that though and my paranoid ass was just overthinking still
"What do you guys think the news will be?" Ino asked.
"Maybe we're all getting ramen!" Naruto said excitedly.
"Of course. Kukui?" Ino asked wanting my opinion.
"If it was really important he wouldn't let us talk about it. It's probably changing the curriculum, another student joining, or a new teacher coming to help Iruka" I said. I had weighed the options in my head and it had to be one of the three.
"Probably. Iruka-sensei would just have told us to be quiet by now and have told us the news" Shikamaru said from behind us, cutting into our conversation.
"Aww but ramen sounds better," Naruto said disappointed.
Before anyone else could get in a word, Iruka cleared his throat. "Class today we are having a new student joining us. May you all welcome...
