We entered the car and left the company premises,he took me to a nice restaurant and I was happy that we were going to spend some time together.
"Babe this is a cozy place,I love it," I took my eyes around to appreciate its beauty.
"I'm glad you loved it sweetie," he pulled a chair for me and I took my seat.
He sat opposite to me and we ordered something to eat…I was impressed because these guys take fewer minutes to deliver our food compared to other places.
We started eating while he cracked a few jokes here and there which left me breathless because of too much laughing.
"Hey Caesar,guys look who we have here," One lady who was heading out looked at Herman with a surprised face and called her other two friends to come and see him.
They came running and they were surprised as well to see him.
"Caesar, it's good to see you,are you coming tonight??" Another lady asked him and if I wasn't mistaken,they were flirting with him.
"Uhm guys please excuse us I'm on a date with my wife so if you don't mind you can take your leave," he told them.
"Wife !!!!??? Haha please Caesar do we look like we are so gullible huh!??? Anyways enjoy your evening with her because it's her turn we won't interfere," They walked away while laughing out loud plus giving me mean looks.
"Babe, what was that all about?? Who are those sluts??" I furiously asked him.
"Sweetie please don't pay attention to those girls because they're nothing," he tried to hold my hand but I pulled it away.
"Why did they call you Caesar?? And what did they mean when they asked you if you're coming tonight?? Do you usually meet them somewhere??" I asked again while raising my voice.
"Babe please lower your voice because this is a public place and I don't want us to draw any attention,we can settle this issue from home," he suggested.
"First answer my damn questions,why did they call you Ceasar instead of Herman?" I asked again while hitting the table.
"That's the name I use at the office and it's a long story which I can't go deep into right now," he replied.
"And where are they expecting you tonight??" I asked.
"At office,we met up at the office yesterday when they were leaving and I was just coming in and they made fun of me that I work over time so that's why they asked if I will be going tonight as well," he tried to explain but I don't know why his explanation wasn't convincing enough and I failed to buy it…what really pissed me off is that they laughed out when he introduced me as his wife,it was like a joke to them!! Fuck those sluts,they really ruined our date.
"Whatever, let's leave this place," I got my bag and walked away from there at full speed.
I went and stood by the car and waited for him,
"What took you so long??" I asked him when he finally came out.
"I was clearing the bill,please get in,"he opened the door for me.
Before he started the engine,his phone rang and he picked it up.
"Yes,what!??? Again??? Oh that fool is really annoying…please tell him this is the last time I'm doing this for him because I'm totally fed up with clearing his mess," he replied angrily and he hit the wheel out of anger.
"What the hell happened??" I asked even though I didn't want to talk to him.
"You won't believe that my stupid brother got himself in trouble again," he replied while leaning back in the seat
"What do you mean again??" I wasn't getting it.
"He is fond of over speeding on the road and each time he gets in trouble with the cops,it's me they call to bail him out," he explained.
"You mean your kid brother I work with??" I Dumbly asked because that kid is annoying but he is so humble I don't think he can be careless on the road.
"Yah of course that one because we are only two,he is behind bars so I need to go and bail him out before they make matters worse because if he spends the night there,they might take him to a real prison and put charges on him," he replied.
"Okay I get it,you need to help him because if it's you they called,it means you're his only hope," I told him.
"Let me first drive you back home then I will proceed to the police station," he suggested.
"No babe,it's okay,go and save your brother…I'm going to get a cab and get back home," I told him.
"Babe, are you sure?? I wanted to first make sure you're safe," he touched my hand.
"No I will be safe,let's do that and save time," I replied.
I ordered a cab and when it arrived,I first set off before he left for the police station…I got home and went straight to the bathtub and laid down inside there so that I could relax for a while.
I went out and wrapped a bathrobe around my body and checked my phone because I heard it buzz…it was a message from babe that he had just reached the station.
I wanted to go with him and save his brother but I was already tired and in a bad mood because of what happened earlier with those sluts and I just wanted to be alone so I couldn't miss out on this chance of having some time by myself.
I put on my nightie and got in bed…since I had a cold bath,it was easy to fall asleep and in the morning when I woke up,babe was sleeping beside me and I kissed him on the cheek before leaving the bed.
I went downstairs and prepared some breakfast then I went back to my room to take a shower,after getting ready with everything,I left a small note for him on the table beside the bed that I have prepared breakfast for him and it's on the kitchen counter…I put his phone over the note so that it doesn't get blown away by air and it will be easy for him to see it when he reaches for his phone.
I went downstairs and had my breakfast before heading out. On reaching the company,I met up with Babe's brother at the entrance.
"Hey good morning Ava," he greeted me with a smile.
"Yes good morning,how are you?" I greeted him back.
"I'm okay though there's something I wanted to talk to bro but it has been long since I last saw him but since you're his wife,let me pass it over to you if you don't mind," he asked.
"Yah sure,what is it??" I asked him.
"Well mom wanted to know why you two left the house without notice and never bothered to call her up to at least tell her that you're moving out," he said.
"Ohh about that,I thought Herman had told her because we needed privacy as a couple so that's why we moved in to our new home but I will tell Herman to talk to her,sorry about that," I replied.
"Okay but mum ain't happy at all, please tell him to do so as soon as possible," he emphasized.
"Okay I will,don't worry…but before you go,you said earlier that you had taken a long time without hearing from Herman??" I asked again just to be sure.
"Yes,from your promotion party till now…maybe we both get busy at work I don't know," he replied.
"Yah probably," I gave him a smile and we both proceeded to our different offices.
Babe's mother was really getting on my nerves and it was hard to get along that's why I told babe and we immediately moved out in order for both of us to have peace.
But if this boy is telling me that he has taken a long time without hearing from the babe and yet the babe told me he had come to bail him out yesterday night!!! Why did he lie to me?? Because if they met yesterday,this kid wouldn't have told me their mom's issue…babe lied to me but why did he?? What did he do yesterday?? Too many questions running in my head right now.
