Year 1520 of the Sea Calendar
Inside a small cabin on Kamala Island, somewhere in the Grand Line, a sixteen-year-old young man named Marley Gibs sat in shock as he slowly woke up.
"W–What… what happened…?"
He muttered in disbelief, his voice trembling as he looked around the unfamiliar cabin.
"Where am I… and why do I feel smalle—wait… taller?" he mumbled, standing up in confusion and walking toward a nearby mirror.
The reflection staring back at him was completely unfamiliar — short, spiky yellow hair, a lightning-shaped scar running across his right eye, and a height that easily reached 193 cm (6'3"), far taller than he ever was in his past life.
As he studied his reflection, something caught his eye — a newspaper lying on the small table beside the bed.
"A newspaper!" he exclaimed, a flicker of relief crossing his face. "Maybe I can find out where I am…"
He unfolded the paper, but as his eyes scanned the front page, his expression turned pale.

Gibs froze. His heart pounded.
There was only one world where that name existed — The One Piece world.
"There are so many different worlds… Why One Piece?"
He uttered in disbelief and frustration as the truth sank in — he had been reborn into one of the most dangerous worlds imaginable. A world where bloodthirsty pirates roamed freely, slave traders hunted the weak, and nobles trampled on commoners without consequence.
Gibs exhaled deeply, the weight of reality pressing against his chest.
"I need to get stronger… as soon as possible,"
he muttered, clenching his fists.
"Because the new era of pirates will begin in just two years… and I don't want to get caught in the crisis."
His eyes narrowed with determination.
"I just need to remember what happened in the original timeline…"
He tried to recall the sequence of events in the One Piece story, but—
"Damn it! I can't think straight because of this sudden realization…"
He exclaimed with a mix of frustration and disbelief.
"I'll just rest for today… and think about the future tomorrow."
He said while slowly closing his eyes.
