Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 Attempting to Monitor

Chapter 35 Attempting to Monitor

Hundreds of years passed, and Kronos' power grew even greater.

Correspondingly, the conflicts among the gods became more and more serious.

Everyone knew that it was His Majesty the God King who was secretly pushing this, but he judged the situation very well and did not push the gods into a desperate situation, so no god dared to resist him, the supreme and great God King.

Kronos even used his own methods to erode the core authority of the earth and the ocean. In this world of the trinity of sky, ocean and earth, he finally became the absolute master, a master that no one could resist.

The only thing that made him dissatisfied was probably that he could never find any fault with Taren, and he had no way to imprison this god of fate, whom he feared, in Tartarus forever.

For hundreds of years, Taren stayed in his empty space and even refused visits from other gods, as if he had no interest in worldly affairs.

Kronos asked the three goddesses of fate many times, and the answer he got was that Taron was really indifferent to the world.

But this did not reassure Kronos. He was so cautious and suspicious that he could not rest easy until Taren was completely imprisoned.

He placed his hopes on Prometheus, the god of prophecy and foresight.

Prometheus' father, the Titan Iapetus, was a Titan who firmly supported Cronus and an important member of Cronus' camp.

If there were a few people that the suspicious Kronos could still barely trust, Iapetus must be one of them.

It just so happened that Prometheus, the child of Iapetus, had had a good conversation with Talon before, and Talon was not opposed to meeting this god of prophecy and foresight.

Thus, during these hundreds of years, Prometheus became the only god that Tarun was willing to see.

Kronos would ask Prometheus to visit Taron frequently, in fact, to monitor Taron's every move and find ways to find fault.

Unfortunately, after all these years, Prometheus hasn't found any faults, but the surveillance has been done very well.

Kronos actually did not completely trust Prometheus, but he was somewhat tolerant of him for the sake of his father, the Titan Iapetus.

And every time Prometheus brought back news, Kronos would ask the three goddesses of fate whether it was true or not. Only after receiving a positive answer would he believe it.

In Kronos's view, Iapetus was a Titan who firmly defended and supported him, and his children would naturally not disobey their father for outsiders, so he could barely be considered in his camp.

The conflict between the three goddesses of fate and Tarun is based on their priestly duties. The stronger the other goddess is, the weaker they are, and vice versa. On this basis, Kronos feels that it is impossible for them to have a harmonious relationship with Tarun.

So if Prometheus and the three goddesses of fate said the same thing, Kronos had no reason not to believe it.

Rather than believing in Prometheus and the three goddesses of fate, it is better to say that he believed in his own judgment.

So although he was dissatisfied with the fact that Prometheus never found any fault, he could only blame Taron for being too cautious, and then ordered Prometheus to work harder.

On this day, at the urging of the god king Kronos, Prometheus came to the void again and saw the familiar white figure.

"Your Highness Taron." Prometheus' deep eyes lit up instantly, and his face showed a sincere smile that had never appeared in front of the God King.

Tarun also smiled at him. Thanks to Kronos, the two of them were now quite familiar with each other.

"Oceanos, the god of the ocean, sends his greetings to you. He wishes to tell you that a beautiful goddess was recently born from the bubbles you blessed."

"Her name is Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. Her appearance is incomparable and very impressive. She is very grateful for your blessing and wanted to come and meet you, but I refused."

Tarun nodded, but was not surprised. He just continued to look at Prometheus with a smile, as if he had expected all this. Even though he had never left the void in hundreds of years, he still knew this world very well.

This seemingly omniscient ability made the admiration in Prometheus' eyes even more obvious.

He cleared his throat and continued, "Oceanus also asked me to ask you how long the future you mentioned will last."

As the most powerful Titan targeted by the God-King Kronos, Oceanus has had a hard time in the past few hundred years. He was forced to fight with the original sea god Pontus. Even his authority over the ocean was eroded a lot, and his divine power declined.

He was also the god who most wanted to get guidance from Taren, but unfortunately Taren was unwilling to see anyone except Prometheus, so he could only ask Prometheus on his behalf.

Not only Oceanus, but also some other Titans who did not want to fight, and even Queen Rhea and Earth Mother Gaia, would ask Taron, the God of Fate, for his predictions and opinions through Prometheus.

Of course, all of this was kept secret from the God King Kronos. Otherwise, if Kronos knew that Taren was communicating with these gods, he would probably not be able to sleep at night again.

What Kronos would never have thought was that Prometheus and the three goddesses of fate, whom he trusted the most and whom he most hoped could deal with Taron, were actually on Taron's side.

There is no need to say much about the three goddesses of fate. They have a deep connection with Taren, and their ability to glimpse fate comes from Taren's gift.

Prometheus had foresight and knew clearly what was right and what was wrong, so he chose Talon instead of the King of Gods.

Kronos was doomed to be disappointed if he expected them to find out Taren's fault.

"That day won't be far away," Taron said with a smile. "Let His Highness Oceanus wait patiently. It may be tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow."

Prometheus' eyes brightened when he heard this. As a messenger, he vaguely knew what "that day" Taren was referring to.

It is a new era, a brand new future, and the beginning of an end to all the chaos before us.

Prometheus was extremely looking forward to this. His foresight told him that that would be the time for him to show his talents and realize his ideals. How could he not look forward to it?

Taron glanced at the excited Prometheus, thought for a moment, and then gave him a warning: "Sometimes, doing the right thing doesn't mean it will have good results. You should think more about the consequences."

Prometheus was a little confused when he heard this, and seeing him like this, Tarun sighed.

Tarun can be said to have watched this sincere and enthusiastic prophet god grow up, so it is inevitable that he would worry about him a lot.

He wanted to give Prometheus some advice to avoid his tragic ending, but he knew in his heart that everything was destined and could not be changed.

But looking at this sincere and enthusiastic young man, he couldn't help but ask himself in the deepest part of his heart:

Is it really impossible to change? Perhaps, he is just not strong enough.

But that day was still far away, so Talon didn't think about it anymore. He just said to Prometheus, "Remember to tell His Majesty Oceanus and his daughters to be careful of the gods on land."

Prometheus didn't understand, but nodded anyway.
