Chapter 10 - The Bully’s Provocation

Rong Xingyu looked up in confusion. A few students in school uniforms came toward him and Qian Zhijun with hostile expressions.

The one in the front wasn't very tall and his face looked unfamiliar.

He extended an arm and lazily blocked Rong Xingyu's way.

A question mark slowly appeared on Rong Xingyu's face. So… was he talking about him just now?

Seeing the lunchbox in Rong Xingyu's hand, the boy's face twisted into even more scorn. He sneered: "No way. The young master can't even afford the cafeteria now and has to bring his own lunch?"

"What do you mean by that?" Qian Zhijun stepped forward immediately while glaring at him after hearing the mocking tone.

Rong Xingyu gently tugged at Qian Zhijun's sleeve, signaling him not to lose his temper.

He then turned to the boy and asked politely:

"Excuse me… who are you?"

The boy's expression cracked slightly, his voice sounding strange: "…You don't recognize me?"

"Uh, sorry…" Rong Xingyu felt a little embarrassed. Should he know this person?

Qian Zhijun who is standing beside him and seeing the boy's awkward expression laughed wickedly and secretly gave Rong Xingyu a thumbs-up.

Rong Xingyu felt a bit innocent, he really hadn't found this person in the original owner's memories.

The boy, however, thought Rong Xingyu was mocking him and his anger turned into a bitter laugh: "Young Master Rong really does forget favors easily. You already forgot how you used to order me around?! Oh no, what young master, everyone knows you're just a fake now. What are you acting like here for?"

"I heard your family kicked you out? No house, no money… Can the real young master of the Rong family handle such a fall from grace?"

It had to be said, this boy really knew how to hit a sore spot.

If the original Rong Xingyu who has been spoiled since childhood had heard this, his explosive temper would have gone off immediately.

But the Rong Xingyu standing here wasn't the same as before.

Honestly, he had only taken over this body halfway through and he didn't have deep feelings for the original family yet.

More importantly, compared to his previous life, things were far better now.

No worries about food or clothing and he could attend the best school, Rong Xingyu would have laughed in his sleep at this life.

A "fall from grace"? There was no way he would feel that!

Still, he couldn't be too blunt. Rong Xingyu smiled lightly at him: "I'm doing okay."

The boy: "..."

Could this really be Rong Xingyu?

The volatile firecracker who would blow up at a single word had somehow turned into someone completely unmoved seemingly impervious to provocation.

Rong Xingyu didn't want to waste any more time here. He lifted his foot to leave, but the boy whose clearly dissatisfied with the response stubbornly continued to block him.

The situation was escalating drawing the attention of many students.

If Rong Xingyu were still wearing his previous terrible appearance and behaving badly, probably no one would have cared enough to intervene.

But now, he's dressed neatly in his school uniform with smooth black hair and a soft voice he looked very cute and obedient.

And it only made the boy appear more aggressive in contrast.
