Chapter 11 - The Cafeteria Incident

The students who are watching nearby started to feel uncomfortable. Some of the girls even recognized the boy who caused the trouble and couldn't help but speak out.

"Lin Yutong, you're going too far. Bullying a classmate like this what's wrong with you?"

Lin Yutong's earlier words had hit nothing but air, leaving him frustrated. Now that someone called him out in front of everyone, his temper completely snapped.

"You, you're all just a bunch of face obsessed idiots! Do you even know how he used to treat me?"

Qian Zhijun who actually remembered who Lin Yutong was let out a mocking laugh. "Oh, so it's you. How did he treat you? Let's hear it. Weren't you the one chasing after our Xingyu back then? You like to acting all nice and eager to praise him, but now you're claiming he used you? You've got some nerve!"

As soon as Qian Zhijun finished, the students around them started giving Lin Yutong strange looks.

Lin Yutong's face twisted with anger and humiliation flashing in his eyes. He looked around and then he suddenly snatched a half-full cup of milk tea from the girl who had spoken earlier.

Without caring that it was still hot, he raised his hand and threw the drink straight at Rong Xingyu's face.

"Watch out!"

"Xingyu!!"

"—Stop right there!"

Rong Xingyu quickly moved to the side with surprising agility and the steaming milk tea splashed harmlessly onto the floor.

Qian Zhijun who saw that Rong Xingyu had dodged in time, let out a long breath of relief and patted his chest. "You scared me to death!"

Rong Xingyu smiled at him, his eyes curved with amusement. He leaned closer and whispered, "Don't worry, I'm not stupid. Why would I just stand there and let him throw it at me?"

Qian Zhijun: "…"

If he hadn't said that, it might have sounded cool but somehow, the explanation made him sound a bit… not too bright. Oh well, he's cute, so he can say whatever he wants!

Just as the milk tea hit the ground, a loud, commanding voice suddenly cut through the noise of the crowd silencing everyone.

Lin Yutong turned around and froze in place.

"P–Principal?"

No way! The principal showing up in the student cafeteria was this even real?

But sure enough, the middle-aged man with a stern face and a round belly was none other than the principal of Qibao Dwith School himself.

Lin Yutong's hands trembled. The cup slipped from his grip, fell to the floor, and rolled away with a sharp clatter.

"Which grade and class are you from?" the principal's voice was cold. "I never expected to see bullying happening in our school."

The words school bullying hit like a heavy hammer. Sweat began to drip from Lin Yutong's forehead and all his arrogance vanished.

He stammered with pale faced and said, "N-no, Principal, I—I didn't mean—"

But no matter how he tried to explain, the words wouldn't come out. His mind went blank and his heart sank like it had fallen into an icy pit.
