Chapter 143: Declaration of War

The tavern descended into a deathly silence.

Every pirate watched helplessly as the green-haired man nonchalantly turned his back to leave, walking toward the door. Their eyes revealed a trace of confusion.

After a long pause...

"Wait, that guy... Green hair, three swords... he looks like the one from the Straw Hats..."

A pirate grabbed a Wanted Poster, comparing it to the figure, and his eyes gradually widened.

"It's the 'Pirate Hunter' with a 15 million bounty!!"

"What? One of the Straw Hats actually delivered himself to our doorstep?!"

"Only 15 million? He can't compare to Boss Bellamy at all!"

"Should we take him down, Boss Bellamy?"

Bellamy was momentarily stunned as well, but his expression quickly shifted to one of surprise and greed. He licked the corner of his mouth, his body crouching slightly as his legs emitted the distinct click-clack sound of compressing springs.

Then, with a sharp whoosh, his body catapulted forward like a bullet, his large hand spread wide, aiming straight for the back of the intruder's head.

"Leaving after just saying hello isn't very polite, Pirate Hunter!"

Zoro's movement halted abruptly.

He didn't turn around. He simply shook his head with a helpless sigh that was barely audible.

This isn't trouble I went looking for. That woman should understand, right?

Er... hard to say.

Women seem to be naturally unreasonable creatures, especially strong, beautiful ones.

But there's no helping it. Who told me to be this unlucky?

He closed his eyes as if accepting his fate, then slowly opened them. The helplessness in his gaze had vanished without a trace, replaced by a flash of impatience and ferocity.

He wasn't a passive man to begin with. If trouble came knocking, there was usually only one thing he would do.

—Draw his sword.

BANG!

A massive sound of hard impact rang through the air, accompanied by a shockwave that kicked up dust from the floor.

Inside the tavern, the expressions on the pirates' faces froze.

The anticipation of seeing the green-haired man crushed by Boss Bellamy instantly turned into disbelief.

"H-How is that possible...?!" someone shrieked.

At the doorway, Bellamy remained in his lunging posture, the veins on his right arm bulging, muscles strained to their limit. Yet, his claw—capable of shattering boulders—was being firmly held back by a snow-white scabbard.

The scabbard didn't tremble in the slightest. The hand holding it was as steady as a rock.

Even more shocking was that the green-haired man hadn't taken a single step back. He was still standing sideways, not even deigning to look Bellamy in the eye.

Bellamy's pupils trembled.

He stared fixedly at the long sword blocking his full-power strike, then slowly looked up at the man's expressionless face.

"A guy like you... how could you only be worth 15 million Berries?"

Bellamy felt a terrifying, immense strength from the opponent—immovable, like a mountain fortress.

Are you kidding me...

How can this guy have so much strength?!

For that strike just now, he had used the power of the Spring-Spring Fruit, utilizing nearly eighty percent of his full strength. An ordinary pirate, even one with a bounty of twenty or thirty million, would have been incapacitated on the spot.

But this green-haired man blocked it with such ease?

Is he stronger than me?

Impossible. Absolutely impossible!!

"You seem to know a lot about us?"

Zoro held the sword in one hand, his other hand hanging loosely at his side. He swept his gaze over Bellamy.

Just one glance was enough to determine that this wasn't an opponent who could spark his interest.

Too weak.

"If I heard correctly, you seem to be looking for trouble with us?"

As he spoke, he gradually applied force. The muscles in the arm holding the sword suddenly swelled, and a burst of immense power detonated.

BOOM!

Under the dumbfounded gazes of countless onlookers, Bellamy was sent flying without any ability to resist. With a loud crash, he slammed heavily into the bar counter.

Zoro spun his sword with a flourish, holding it single-handedly. The cold gleam of the scabbard tip pointed into the tavern as his aggressive gaze swept over the entire room of pirates.

"Tell me. Are you declaring war on us?"
