Chapter 29: Sun Arcana — I'm the Invincible Man

"The Celestial Dragon was attacked?"

In Dressrosa, a man seated upon a throne curled his lips into a feral grin. The Den Den Mushi before him was reporting the news.

"Fufufufufu.

"A Celestial Dragon was attacked.

"How interesting. How very interesting."

He couldn't help covering his forehead and laughing. The pink coat on his shoulders and those outrageous sunglasses announced his identity.

One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the master of Dressrosa, Donquixote Doflamingo.

"After twenty years, at last someone strikes a Celestial Dragon again."

"Doffy, shall we investigate the man," asked a sniffling fellow in a quilted cloak patterned with circles, a clover-topped cane in hand and tiny sunglasses on his face.

"No. Just another ignorant fool provoking the Celestial Dragons.

"When he proves he can survive under their shadow, then he earns the right to catch my eye.

"For now, the deal matters most."

Doflamingo's mouth hooked into a wicked smile. The news delighted him, but it wasn't enough to make him pay Satan any mind.

Amazon Lily.

"Someone dared strike a Celestial Dragon?"

Upon receiving the call, a peerless beauty was stunned. She had long black hair, deep blue eyes, serpent earrings, and a tall figure. Every gesture held unrivaled allure.

Boa Hancock, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

The Seven Warlords were pirates sanctioned by the World Government to plunder legally, a force to balance the pirates of the seas. Any one of them possessed unfathomable strength. Hancock was the Pirate Empress, the most beautiful and captivating woman upon the sea. Yet even she was dumbfounded by the news. Someone in this world had defied the Celestial Dragons, the supposed rulers of all.

"Pass my order. Investigate.

"I want to know who he is. Gather the strength of Amazon Lily.

"Find him."

Reverence shone in Hancock's eyes. Anyone who dared strike a Celestial Dragon was a benefactor of the Kuja Pirates.

Across the Grand Line, nearly every major power had received the message sent from the Sabaody Archipelago.

A Celestial Dragon had been attacked.

The authority of the World Government had been challenged again. Once the news birds flew, the world would be in uproar.

Sabaody Archipelago.

"Ding. Congratulations, host. Wrath has exceeded one thousand."

"Congratulations, host. You have comprehended the ultimate art: Sun."

Sun: As the sun rises, bathing in its light grants immense power. The hotter the sun, the greater the power. At high noon, an invincible state can be reached.

The crowds on Sabaody had long since scattered. Only Satan remained, sitting atop the giant's back, calm-faced, feeling power pour through his body without end.

The ultimate art, Sun. Under sunlight, he would become an invincible war god. As the sun set, the power would gradually fade. Among the Seven Deadly Sins, Pride wanes into weakness by night. But Satan was different. Even without the sun, his strength was overwhelming. The sun only made him stronger. When night fell, he would simply return to his sunless baseline.

"You dared hit me. An Admiral will be here any moment.

"When he arrives, I'll make you wish you were dead," Saint Charlos threatened.

"Did no one ever tell you that without power, you should never threaten anyone.

"Admirals are terrifying, but before they get here, I can kill you countless times."

Satan vaulted down from the giant's back and stamped his foot onto Charlos's face. Vivian stared, dumbfounded. The lofty Celestial Dragon looked like an ant.

"You… you aren't afraid of the Celestial Dragons," Charlos struggled, utterly bewildered. Weren't they the most exalted beings in the world. Weren't all people their playthings. Why was he under Satan's heel now. The man felt like a primeval beast. He might actually die.

"No, I don't want to die.

"Please, spare me."

Saint Charlos broke down. He still had a beautiful future. He didn't want to die.

"Relax. I won't kill you.

"I just want to talk. Tell me, why do you torment others."

Satan sighed as he pressed Charlos down. What exactly were the Celestial Dragons. Ancestors who had founded an era. Why were the descendants so wretched. Or had the World Government indulged their behavior on purpose. Satan also remembered there was one among them named Imu. If such a being existed, why allow the Celestial Dragons to rot like this. There was too much unknown in this world.

"I won't dare again.

"Please, spare me," Charlos sobbed. Terrifying. So this was what it felt like to be humiliated.

Vivian's eyes sparkled. The giant whose gaze had once been dull suddenly gleamed with a hint of light, a trace of spirit returning.

"See. The Celestial Dragons aren't so noble.

"They aren't gods. They're only mortals," Satan said coolly.
