Chapter 37 - 37: Kaive VS Lady Brieley 

OUTDOOR FESTIVAL.

Kaive sat in his seat, right where his duty placed him, with Ziven beside him. Neither spoke, but the tension between them was obvious as they watched the festival continue. The wrestlers finished their match, the crowd roaring in approval, and the next part of the celebration rolled in without pause.

The gaming events started, which was... archery, stone lifting, spear throwing, ring toss, and a simple board match the elders loved. Kaive kept his eyes forward, pretending to enjoy it, while Ziven shot him small glances, knowing his mind wasn't on the games at all.

But Kaive's mind wasn't here at all. The cheers around him felt distant, and almost muted. His thoughts kept dragging him back to earlier, to the way the beast inside him had pushed forward when it wasn't supposed to, far too early for the season. It shouldn't have reacted like that… not over something like that, yet it did.
