Kaive noticed the uneasiness in Lady Brieley before anyone else did. Staying here was only making things worse for her, and he wasn't about to sit around and pretend otherwise.
Her Royalty Ysera was still speaking with the others, the room buzzing with light chatter again, but Kaive wasn't listening anymore. His attention stayed on Lady Brieley for one last second.
He stood up, pushing his chair back without drawing attention.
"I'll retire for the night." He said simply.
A few heads turned. Her Royalty Ysera gave him a curious glance, but she didn't question him.
"Goodnight." Kaive added, giving them all a brief nod.
He didn't wait for replies. He walked out of the hall, letting the doors close behind him.
On his way to his room, Kaive's thoughts wouldn't stay still. Part of him wanted to see Olessia before the night ended, just to check if she was alright.
