Chapter 5 - Healer 3: Pretty Face

"What do you know about Dragons?" a towering woman asked right beside the Cleric.

"A little- Just about the surface level knowledge like everyone else has." a blonde woman with dark blue eyes responded.

Proceeding with their quest, the group of 10 adventurers followed the trail of flames and destruction throughout the dark and dimmly lit cave, where, despite the already eminent and clear danger presented before them up ahead that might proved a little too much from the earlier signs they had just passed througg, the Band didn't dare to back down and could only brave their way through since their Leader has already made the final decision. "Instead of facing the Dragon, what if we encountered the other one instead?" the Cleric then opened up her mouth to ask a question. "Who's the "other one"- you mean that "one..?" Well, as an answer to your previous question, it be best if we're the ones to finish this quest, lest it be a waste of our time and energy, you wouldn't want someone else to steal your reward, now, would you?" the female Tank eagerly answered long. "No." the Cleric then shortly nodded as she stared at her with her honest and innocent dark blue eyes. "Let's also hope whoever that assailant might be would be friendly, can you imagine fighting someone who's a match for a Dragon on their own? It be a nightmare, haha." ending her light banter with a laugh to ease off the shake in her feeling, the Cleric followed along with a small laugh too.

"So, by the way, have you ever been in a relationship? Come, let's have a girl to girl talk by ourselves, fufu." nudging the Healer by her side with her elbow, she smiled wide and happy faced. The Cleric's eyebrows prickled in confusion and wonder for the sudden out of context question. "... What- are you saying- so sudden-?!" the Healer was then momentarily lost for words as her cheeks lightly blushed and she saw the woman by her side acting in contrast to the current heavy atmosphere. The female Tank having iniated a rather lovely atmosphere all of a sudden took the Cleric by surprise. And adding on to how the Cleric viewed the Tank whom was serious since earlier, she couldn't help herself but grimaced as a response to the sudden change. "Sorry, im like this when im nervous... It helps me calm down and ease my mind to simply talk in casual with others." Scratching the back of her head, the tension around the band was lifted a bit due to the duo's conversation for everyone was silent and wary instead. Having find themselves on an uncertain predicament, they could only let them as a sort of coping and relaxing mechanism to be free of any further doubts and clouded judgements.

"Still, with that pretty face of yours, all the boys must've been wanting to date you, right? Right?" the Tank however continued to nudged the Cleric's side and pushed her questions further in a rather excited tone and manner by showing more of her womanly side, for she was actually interested to have their relationship up to a close since they're companions already. Silence was then what they were left, before the Cleric's trembling mouth frantically opened her's after thinking for an answer. "No, i never been in one. But i wish i could have." putting her head down in embarrassment, the blushes in her cheeks became redder, her tone carried bits of bitternesss and envious of a certain feeling as if she was missing something, she was then left feeling for herself and looking small more than anyone else amongst the Band after her reply with some looking back at her with either looks of pity or other certain kind of feelings, particularly, the male Warrior right beside their Leader who often shouted back at her was crossing his eyebrows. "Oh, well... That's a shame. But maybe now and to the future, maybe you could try to- you know, date... If that's what you want, you only get to live once anyway. But let's talk about something else! What's your favorite food?" litting up her eyes, the Cleric's gloomy mood was gradually washed away as she and the partner right beside her entered a quiet yet frenzy state of a conversation with one another, soothing along the way the heavy atmosphere.

"Boom" all of a sudden, out of nowhere, another explosion just like earlier that shook the cave had just occured.

"Wuh?" the Cleric groaned in response to the boom.

"Everyone!" as they were suddenly subjected to a second explosion from afar, this time unlike earlier, they didn't dare ignored it for they heard something else, but much more faint. The Band immediately saw their Leader gesturing with his clenched fist, raised right beside his face. "Its a fight, take arms!" everyone immediately complied with the gesture and order of their Leader by taking arms and stances. With a sword nearly the same size as her towering height and build, the female Tank quickly changed her demeanor to a serious, focused one. As one of the Tank of the group, she raised her sword right in front of her, taking the rear guard of the Band's formation, and right beside her was the Healer, holding onto her wooden staff with a bead of sweat sliding off her forehead in nervousness. Everyone else assumed their positions as the Leader took the very vanguard with his longsword and shield. Faintly from the deep, far reaches of the cave, from the darkness that covered everything, were the footsteps of the many, rummaging through wildly and chaotically throughout the Cave. The group heard the noises, and the spurring tension that was already eminent since earlier gradually got higher.
