Chapter 4 - 4

Coulson felt the situation was very bad.

He had participated in incidents involving people with special abilities before, but he had never encountered an ability that could read people's minds like this.

However, his basic quality as an Agent allowed him to empty his mind in the first instance, avoiding any thoughts of classified information.

"I can only read surface thoughts, not what's truly inside."

"Oh, that's truly reassuring."

Coulson didn't even know where to begin complaining; you even saw through my worries.

But the mission had to continue. He had already listed these two individuals as high-level key persons of interest in his mind.

"Gentlemen, I am from the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division."

"Coulson, Phil Coulson, right? I know you," Shen He interrupted him, thinking rapidly in his mind. "I didn't originally plan to contact you so soon, but since we've met, it saves a lot of trouble. I need two legal identification documents."

"Sir, that's illegal. If you're an undocumented immigrant, I think we can help contact immigration," Coulson showed his signature smile.

"Alright, since you're unwilling to help, I'll just have to find others. Qi Mu, let's go."

Shen He raised an eyebrow, and Qi Mu, who knew his thoughts, placed his hand on his shoulder at just the right moment.

"Please wait a moment." Coulson's mouth twitched. "Uh, I just remembered, we also have some immigration authority, perhaps we can help you."

Given the teleportation ability the other party had already demonstrated, they could truly leave whenever they wanted. After all, he didn't dare to casually order snipers to attack two unknown powerful individuals.

However, it seemed these two had some understanding of them, which was crucial.

S.H.I.E.L.D. was a special organization hidden from ordinary people; it was impossible for some suddenly awakened Inhumans to know about S.H.I.E.L.D..

"Don't worry too much." Shen He patted Coulson's shoulder as if he were an old friend. "Allow me to formally introduce myself. I am Shen He, a Master from Chaldea, originally from China. This is my Servant, Saiki Kusuo."

"Chaldea?"

Coulson quickly searched his mind. He had never heard of that name.

He didn't even know if it was an organization or a place name.

However, the other party didn't seem to have any ill intentions. Since he was so cooperative, it was better to understand the situation first.

"I wonder if I might have the honor of inviting the two of you to visit our headquarters as guests?"

"Next time."

Shen He refused directly without much hesitation.

No matter how confident he was, he wouldn't be foolish enough to go directly to someone else's base camp.

In fact, his gaze had already drifted to the dungeon center on the system.

"We have more important things to do right now. You can monitor the bench where I first appeared. If I want to find you next time, I'll go there."

After leaving that sentence, he decisively activated the only button in the dungeon center.

Underground City.

In an instant, the two figures in front of Coulson suddenly disintegrated, turning into specks of starlight and vanishing.

This strange sight left Coulson stunned.

He immediately notified headquarters. Before long, a stealth Quinjet flew in from high altitude, and then a large group of experts with various instruments and heavily armed Agents descended, completely cordoning off the rooftop, attempting to detect any residual traces. Coulson, meanwhile, took the important information to headquarters.

Mysterious, unfathomable.

What exactly was Chaldea? What was their purpose in suddenly appearing?

Coulson had a feeling that his career as an Agent might become increasingly difficult.

Shen He wasn't feeling too good either.

This darn system, the teleportation experience was too terrible, like being on a roller coaster doing more than a dozen 360-degree spins consecutively.

It was incomparable to Qi Shen's teleportation.

"Is this the dungeon?"

Saiki Kusuo's voice appeared in his mind.

Forcibly suppressing his churning stomach, Shen He looked around.

What met his eyes were light blue walls and ceiling panels, filling his entire vision, like a mysterious ancient castle from the Middle Ages, or an endless Underground City labyrinth.

Crossroads, forks, walls, orderly paths, dilapidated slopes.

"This looks like a real World." Shen He touched the wall with his hand.

There were even traces of moss on his fingers, and the air was mixed with the scent of dust.

Underground City, Underground City. Could it be that World?

"Woof woof."

A cute dog head suddenly appeared in front of Shen He.

Cute my foot!

Shen He jumped back in fright, but the monster with a dog's head and a goblin-like skinny body also lunged forward, brandishing its sharp claws.

Pfft—!

Saiki Kusuo kicked the monster away.

After hitting the wall, it directly turned into black ash with a "bang," and at the same time, a gentle clear stream flowed into Shen He's body.

"No corpse left behind. This really is just a game, isn't it?"

Saiki Kusuo picked up a thumb-sized, sparkling gem from where the monster disappeared.

"No." Shen He swallowed. "There's a World setting like this. Also, we're surrounded."

He didn't know when it started, but more and more of the same monsters surged out from the surrounding walls, the ground, and even the ceiling, their growls incessant.

They were all these dog-headed monsters.

Shen He opened his summoning system, which was still very simple. Apart from the title "Underground City," the dungeon center interface only had an hour-long countdown.

"We have to fight here for an hour."

Shen He slowly reached out, and a pistol with a black base and mysterious sky-blue runes carved on its surface appeared in his hand.

Weapon: Dominator.

From: Psycho-Pass.

Rating: A cool-looking but actually useless weapon for showing off.

It was actually a little useful, at least the bullets were infinite, right? Among the high-level draws just now, only this one looked like a ranged weapon.

"They're coming!"

Shen He roared and coolly raised his pistol.

Bang bang bang!

Three shots, all missed.

"You just watch from the side; leave the fighting to me."

Saiki Kusuo took a step to block in front of Shen He, kicking three monsters away.

However, the clear hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth couldn't be hidden.

"Wow, you actually smiled! The legendary 'Qi Shen's Smile' actually appeared just like that!"

Shen He made exaggerated movements and expressions to cover his embarrassment.

He hadn't even touched a gun during university military training back then. This thing looked simple, but it was surprisingly difficult to use.

But...

"Thank you." Shen He raised his pistol again. "Thank you for helping me. Of course, I also need to work hard."

These were his true thoughts at the moment. If it weren't for Qi Mu, or if Qi Mu had refused his summoning, it was imaginable how difficult it would be for him to face such a dungeon.

Saiki Kusuo didn't reply, but the faint smile at the corner of his mouth didn't disappear.

He didn't dislike this feeling.
