Hector's intentions were crystal clear—she wanted to exploit the Elysia family's clout and have me sweep away all the nasty rumors swirling around Grace.
Both the Elysia and Bennett families had already tried killing the news and trending searches, but their efforts fell flat.
The scandal kept growing like wildfire, and at this rate, Grace wouldn't just lose her firefighter hero image. Apex Airways might even boot her out.
So the most pressing task was crushing those damaging headlines.
