Selina's POV
Selina could barely piece together how she'd bolted from that place in sheer panic. She hadn't even mustered the courage to push open that private room door.
One phone call later, she'd cut things off with Rey completely.
During their breakup call, he'd asked with that cool detachment, "You sure you won't regret this?"
"Absolutely not." Those had been her exact words back then.
And that was it. They were done.
For a long time afterward, their paths never crossed again. Rey had been right all along—she was nothing more than entertainment to cure his boredom.
With her gone, he could easily find another distraction.
What she'd never anticipated was running into Rey twice much later, both encounters painfully awkward.
After leaving that motel, she didn't waste time on goodbyes. She crossed the street, slipped into her car, and drove away without a backward glance.
Rey and she were better off never seeing each other again.
