Evelin's POV
I spun around to find Grace hovering just steps behind me.
"What kind of garbage are you spouting?" I snapped.
"Hit a nerve, did I?" Grace pushed closer, her voice sharpening. "If it wasn't you, why were you digging through those old fire reports from years back—the ones about my dead colleague?"
As she spoke, Grace lunged for my phone.
I sidestepped smoothly, watching her swipe at empty air.
"So browsing news stories automatically makes me your anonymous tipster?" I let out a harsh laugh.
"Who else would it be?" Grace's voice cracked with rage, her certainty growing with her fury.
"You're the only one who despises me! You've always burned with jealousy over Grey choosing me. You knew I'd be here today, so you deliberately leaked that story to the press, didn't you? You wanted to destroy me!"
