Chapter 116 - Chapter 116 Anonymous Accusation

The room exploded into chaos, and Grace's complexion went ghostly white.

"What proof do you have for that accusation? Without evidence, I could take you to court for defamation!" Grace shot back.

"I'm not here to defame you, Ms. Bennett. But this morning, right before coming here, I got an anonymous tip. It claimed you witnessed a colleague burning alive and chose to flee rather than assist, causing their death!" the journalist declared.

The reporter raised his phone, displaying the text message he'd received earlier.

He then passed the device to Grace.

Grace stared at the screen, all blood draining from her features. She fought to maintain composure outwardly, but internally, panic washed over her like ice water.

'Who would send this? How could they possibly know? Who else could know what truly went down that night?'

Grace's mind raced frantically.
