Selina's POV
I tightened my grip around Allen's wrist as I dragged him across the street like some common criminal. The whole sneaking-around thing was completely foreign to him.
"What the hell's gotten into you?" Allen shot me a look of pure annoyance.
In Bonnie City, he walked wherever he damn well pleased. Skulking in shadows wasn't his style.
"Shut up! You want everyone staring at us?" I hissed.
Allen couldn't help but roll his eyes. 'Like this little charade isn't already a spectacle.'
But my next words grabbed his attention fast.
"I spotted Grace heading into that motel with some random guy. Something's definitely up. We need to get closer," I whispered urgently.
Every instinct I had was screaming that whatever Grace was doing, it wasn't innocent.
"Grace?" Allen's eyes went cold, his hatred for the woman crystal clear. Any chance to catch her in some scandal? He was absolutely game.
The two of us made our way toward the seedy establishment, united in our mission.
