Watching this unfold, Aileen jumped in quickly, "Mr. Vernon, don't you think that's going a bit far?"
The atmosphere grew thick with tension. Aileen positioned herself next to Ridley, facing Edwin directly. "Mr. Vernon, I think there's been some confusion here. I'm actually Mr. Collin's wife's sister."
Julio let out a harsh laugh. "Brother-in-law and his wife's little sister—where's your sense of decency?"
"Mr. Vernon!" Ridley's face darkened as he stared at Edwin. "If you're not interested in working together, just say it. No need to throw around accusations."
Ridley shifted, putting himself between Aileen and the confrontation. "Besides, Aileen's collaborated with Vernon Group before. Is this how you handle business relationships?"
Aileen's expression hardened. "Mr. Vernon, your people reached out to me recently about extending our partnership, and now you're treating me like this. Does that seem right to you?"
