I yanked my arm free from the receptionist's grip and let my icy stare sweep across the gawking crowd before locking onto Ridley. "What's so wrong with being a housewife?"
"Ridley, don't you dare forget—before you destroyed my hands and legs, I was a brilliant surgeon and an accomplished dancer. I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself!"
"You're accusing me of seducing men just because I wear designer clothes? In this century, how dare you still spread sexual lies about women? And you call yourself the heir to a corporate empire with all that fancy education—yet this is what you've become!"
